BB Bold 9000 :: Transfer Birthdays Automatically To My Calender?
May 4, 2010
Recently, I upgraded my old os to v4.6.0.304 however though, I lost all my birthday reminders on all my contact list. The birthdays are there in the contacts but is not automatically updated to my calender. Same with my facebook. Before I updated my os, all my contacts + facebook birthday would show but not it doesn't. Isn't blackberry suppose to transfer birthdays automatically to my calender?
I'm a new blackberry curve owner, and I am very dependant on my calender. It's just started deleting past entries (anything over 24 hours) even though my settings are to "keep forever". I have contacted my service provider and they said it's because I've run out of memory and calender entries and text messages are low priority. Is there anyway to ensure they don't get deleted? Is there anything I can do (other then set the texts to keep for only 15 days - already done) to ensure I always have enough memory? Is there anyway to recover my deleted entries? I don't have it synched to my computer or outlook.
I bought a used Blackberry Bold 900 V4.6.0.162 (Platform 4.0.0.155)When i type a number it works good, but when i add that same number to contact list, then it add, +44 to the number automatically and remove 0. for example if i save this 03005977333 on name of James, when i select james and call then number called is to, +443005977333 While i want to call to 03005977333
when typing SMS or in email, my voice dialing prompt automatically comes on and sometimes it comes on without me knowing. BB just sitting on my desk or in my bag, waiting for me to prompt a callers name. this is really wearing my battery down quickly and so anyone have any tips? this happen to anyone else? Bold 9000 user...
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphone and using the Blackberry desktop software version 4.2 to sync contacts And outlook emails. But I realized that new contacts added to my blackberry are being deleted automatically.
I am planning to do an OS upgrade, the last time after I create a backup file it never restore my phone book, I will like to know if there's a way to transfer my phone book contacs into my SIM card.
I get the above error message when trying to send music from my laptop or other mobile device to my BB Bold 9700, I have stax of memory so thats not the problem, the bizarre thing is that I have done this before but it doesnt seem to allow me to do it now. A few days ago all my music and photos that I had on my mobi just disappeared, so hence trying to put my music back on and it wont let me.
Can you give single entrys an own color within the ORIGINAL calender??For example to have an quick overview of all your exams for the current month...
I was just wondering if i`ve seen this option anywhere at my first days on BB some months ago or if i just dreamed it....and YES - sometimes it feels like getting old <-- just another reason to get my life organized by my BLackBerry
have a BB 9700 Bold, version 5 with SFR (France)This issue has already been reported with no answer. When you write, in your calender, your flight departure time and your arrival time, especially if it is in a different Time zone, it is advisable not to set your new time as you fly, otherwise, the times in you calender will also change. To me, this bug should be fixed or at least an option should state "No time changes in calender" !
I am selling my bold 9700 and want to back up everything contacts/calendar/messages etc.whats the best way to do this and then upload back on to the 9000?Also i purchased a theme via app world for the 9700 is there a way i can bring this theme to the 9000?
My notification bar is not showing facebook birthdays and also in the calendar there's no option for facebook calendar. although its checked on the facebook application...
I have got a Blackberry 9700 infront of me. When you go into the calender and scroll down the dates (in Agenda View) it seems to be stuck in a loop. For example today is the 21st you scroll down to the 24th then it loops back to either 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th or 21st again and again repeats this.
I have already wiped the handheld and reactivated on the BES. I have Issued a new 9700 and activated with the BES. I have Contacted out service providers and completed a sim replacement aswell as got them to ensure all settings were correct. I have removed the user from the BES and Readded, setting up all groups and policies needed. I have replicated all settings with a working blackberry.
I'm trying to add birthdays to some of my contacts, but it seems impossible to go earlier than the year 1960. Is there any solution? Not everyone is younger than the age of 50, you know.
Why can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.
Quick question. I am starting a new Job and they are getting me a superbasic Perl. I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...
I dropped my BlackBerry Bold 9000 on the weekend and damaged the LCD screen. The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.
I have a bold 9000 and I can not connect to the internet. Carrier is AT&T and I live in the North East (NYC area). Worked fine up until yesterday (Jan 25). Now gmail, facebook, browser - none work. I've tried the battery pull, turning on/off the network, run a diagnostic test from mobile network options. In the mobile network test i get the volling anomolies "Blackberry PIN-PIN: No" and it says can't connect to my email (gmail).
A few days ago I pulled my phone out of the holster and It was really hot and when i looked at it i realized it was off, and wouldnt turn back on. just a red light comes on like normal upon a battery pull but after it turns off the red light comes back on again once more then stays off for good. unless i plug it in then it comes on and goes off all the time. I got it powered back up yesterday but then it did it again. Today I plugged it in and I saw a picture of a battery come up on the screen showing it as empty, i was hoping that meant it might charge up. but no such luck. My main objective is just to get the phone up long enough to back up the info on the phone.
My phone locks up for a good 30 seconds or more since I've installed this OS.HOW DO I FIX THIS? I can't view my calender from the AGENDA View & it's killing my productivity. 30+ secs just to get to the calender app, then another 30+ secs to make an entry or find a previous one.
I cannot transfer my phone's Contact list either automatically or manually from my Atrix 2 to my new Toyota Camry. Any chance Motorola has a patch or software update in the works? FYI, my wife's older cellphone will allow manual transfers to the Contact list so I know its not the car's problem.
I was just wondering. As it turns out that the 9700 and 9000 share the same type of battery, so how is it that the bold has a far superior battery life over the 9000? Some have reported that the 9700 can hold charge upto 2 days even after heavy usage. So i was wondering are the batteries really identical in every way as claimed? and if they arent is it possible to swap the battery of my 9000 and expect a longer battery life? coz the one im having right now only seem to hold charge for about 15hours with fair usage on a 5.0 OS Zain Kuwait.
