Since I upgraded my Bold 9900 to OS 7.1 the phone ring is off. In the beginning all sounds were off but I managed to bring them back but the phone is only working on vibration mode. I tried several time to configure the phone ring settings but nothing happened. The carrier is Claro brasil.

how put on silent bb 9900 when ring into the hostles. for bb 9780 just press once on the right buton and make silent , but tuhs bb9900 has only once buton.

I cannot figure out how to do the same with my new Curve 9900.
Why does blackberry always create problems and remove the older ring tones, why can't they just add new ones to the old ring tones.
When I bought mt 9700 I had to download the os5 ring tones. Now I do a search and can't find the link to it.How can I install the older ring tones on my 9900?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.
I've checked and I'm at the latest available update. (7.0.0 bundle 1346)
I have a Bold 9900. Of late, I have had a problem wherein I am unable to hear the phone's ring. The phone vibrates and I can see a call coming in. When I answer the call, I cant hear the person at the other end of the line, nor can the other person hear me. If I try ringing someone, I cant hear their phone ringing, but I get the message that we are connected, but cant have any conversation. When I do a full power off and restart, its all back to normal.

You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring.How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?

A few days ago I connected my phone to my laptop and did a sync on blackberry desktop manager. I think I might have also updated the software of the phone. But the basic intention was to backup my data (which hung half way). I woke up the next morning and my phone was switched off. Whatever I try, the phone only blinks red every few seconds but does not switch back on. I have tried using my friends bold 9900 battery but that didnt work either (so battery is not the problem). I am afraid this might be a software problem. Now I can't get this phone replaced from Verizon and need a fix because I really can't afford to purchase another phone like it!

The only way to get the phone to operate is to remove the battery and to replace it for the phone to start up again.This allows you to operate the phone until it goes dark again. The battery is showing as almost fully charged so it is not a battery problem and I am running the latest software v7.0.0.585.This does not happen when the phone is busy charging!

When I press the lock button the screen turns off for about 5 seconds, then lights up again, and stays lit. I can't see anything in the Options menu that will fix it. I bought a BB Bold 9900, supposedly unlocked, yet when I put in different SIM it connects to the network for a second and then it disconnects, yet it works fine on Rogers. Took it to the mall and was told it's corporate phone, it is unlocked but still works only on rogers.What can I do to unlock it now? I unlocked a few 9900 and I just buy code online, put in different SIM and it asks me for unlock code.
