BB Bold :: Turn Off Dial Tones Without Turning Of Phone Ring?

the dial tones when typing a phone number on the normal profile of the blackberry is ridiculously loud. You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring.How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?

Is there any way I can turn off the dial tones for when I am dialing a phone #? Sounds are off for my keypad otherwise (txt, browser, etc). I don't like my keys beeping at me! Especially the beepboopblurrp when I hold 1 to dial my voicemail. Can this be turned off?

I have a 9860 and would like to know how to turn off dial pad tones: when I key a phone number I hear a tone after keying each number. It is very annoying when I weak headset.
The option Turn on/off key tones (in Typing and Input > Keyboard ; Select the Key Tone checkbox) works only for the alphanumeric key board, but not for the numeric phone dial pad.

Why does blackberry always create problems and remove the older ring tones, why can't they just add new ones to the old ring tones.
When I bought mt 9700 I had to download the os5 ring tones. Now I do a search and can't find the link to it.How can I install the older ring tones on my 9900?

I have set a custom ringtone for some contacts but if I have set my phone to vibrate only it still uses the custom ringtone set even though it should only vibrate.Does any one know how to set it so it only vibrates and does not use the custom ringtone when set to vibrate only

I just got a BB bold 9700. It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.
The about screen shows the following:
v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.9.91)
I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.

I upgraded from the BlackBerry Curve 3530 yesterday to the Bold 9900 - on the Curve I had ringtones galore. With the new Bold, the ringtones are limited and I'd love to be able to add the ringtones I used on my Curve to the Bold.

I swore I could hear them when I first got this phone back in early November. I just noticed as I was keying in a phone number, the touch tone is barely audible. Like I held my ear to the rear speaker, and the sound is very faint. I have Sounds:Dial pad touch-tones checked. While the dial pad is open, I turned the volume rocker on the side of the phone all the way up. All that did was turn up the in call volume, did nothing for the touch-tone volume. I have tried turning up all the volume sliders to see if it had any effect. No, that didn't work. I also tried the hard re-boot (power and volume down buttons), and still no luck.

When making a call the S6 makes a connection tone and a disconnection tone at the end of the call. You could turn this off on the S5 I cannot find where to turn it off on the S6.

I recently bought this phone and I can't put ringtones on it. I cannot open my phone via PC like i did with some previous ones (through removable disk ( x: )) and then just dump some mp3 files (or converted files in some cases) and then I could see them in my phone and just add them as ringtones. Sorry I'm not good with the technical terms. Plz help.
I have also tried buying a ringtone and it sent me a text message with the link, i clicked retrived and it gave me an error on browser page. When you can't even BUY ur ringtones, theres a problem. Help appreciated.

I just got this phone yesterday. I did everything that everyone said, made the thing through ituens, under 40 seconds changed it to a m4r file put it in my tunes tab in itunes, and tabs tunes is checked to sync along with everything else but when i sync it my ringtones aren't anywhere please help!!! i need to put ringtones on my phone! I even unchecked the tunes synced my iphone again then checked the tunes tab again and still nothing?

I am trying to assign one of the built-in ring tones in the General profile, but there are no ringtones available except for "beep" and "Nokia tone" The other tones for IM, email, SMS are available but no ring tones. I should mention that I have already flash the phone firmware with the PR 1.2 (India) update.

Nokia 3110 Classic.I can hear the kepad tones I cannot hear the ringing tones.This has recently happened. Up to now everything has been fine. Probably finger trouble.The volume is at maximum.I only have the standard ring tones.I cannot hear them when a call is received and also not when selecting them from Settings/ Tones/ Ring tone/More/Open gallery/Tones/Ring tones.I can hear the tones through the hands free earphone, both when a call is received and when selecting them .Being able to hear the keypad tones, with the handset not plugged in, I think means the mechanical speaker cutoff is not involved.

I've figured out how to quickly change from a ring tone to vibrate by holding the # key, however I still get ring tones when I get a facebook message. I can't have my phone go off all day at work so how do I put FB messages on vibrate as well?
This may be the same question, but is there one quick fix to silence absolutely everything (ring, text message, FB messages)?

I have only just started using the Desktop software for my BB Curve 9300. Once I connected I was told that updated software was available for my phone. Once I had done this I noticed that my selection of ring tones had diminished from the ones previously installed with the new phone.Following the instructions for downloading ring tones (Media File - ringtones - select menu - then select Download Ring Tones) I notice that I do not have the option to Download! Even visiting the BB website it still tells me to follow the same instruction!

I recently upgraded my 9700 to 5.0.0.545. Ever since then, my ring tones have been kinda' messed up. First off, when I upgraded it changed all my ring tones which is fine because I remember them all. But now when I go to change them, it only let's me choose music as ring tones. All the standard ones that came with the phone are missing, and those are what I was using. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to fix it? I don't like the ring tones it's using and would really like to change them back to what they were.

I cant change or set the ring tones and alerts on my phone. I go to Sounds scroll to Set ring tones/Alerts, click on but nothing happens. It just sits there with Set ring tones/Alerts highlighted but doing nothing? It used to work ok and I have used it to change and set ring tones in the past but now nothing happens. It never moves from that screen. Any ideas you clever clogs out there?
