Is there any way I can turn off the dial tones for when I am dialing a phone #? Sounds are off for my keypad otherwise (txt, browser, etc). I don't like my keys beeping at me! Especially the beepboopblurrp when I hold 1 to dial my voicemail. Can this be turned off?

I have a 9860 and would like to know how to turn off dial pad tones: when I key a phone number I hear a tone after keying each number. It is very annoying when I weak headset.
The option Turn on/off key tones (in Typing and Input > Keyboard ; Select the Key Tone checkbox) works only for the alphanumeric key board, but not for the numeric phone dial pad.
the dial tones when typing a phone number on the normal profile of the blackberry is ridiculously loud. You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring.How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?

I've figured out how to quickly change from a ring tone to vibrate by holding the # key, however I still get ring tones when I get a facebook message. I can't have my phone go off all day at work so how do I put FB messages on vibrate as well?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay folks the problem here is exactly what it sounds like: my BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile.This is a behavior I have spent about two hours trying to correct and have been unable to discern a viable solution anywhere. I've got into the settings for the ring tones, theoretically they should be silent along with everything else but it doesn't matter, they continue to play. Normal ring tones do play silently, or rather those numbers to which I have not assigned a custom ring tone. Again this is a problem for me at work, so I'd really appreciate any guidance, it has been very difficult to find.

Ive never seen that symbol before. I turn on the daily alarm, it doesn't turn on it just stays the same. Turn it to off, it won't go away. I tried everything i could think of including taking out the battery. it will NOT go away! its going to drive me crazy if my phone goes off at 3 pm every day!
My friend somehow set this alarm on her BB so it goes off ever day but I can't seem to find where to turn it off. It shows up on the screen when in the clock and it looks like a phone (on the bottom right side when in clock mode). Its not the same as the usual clock alarm which looks like a clock . Can't figure out where to turn this thing off at and its driving us nuts!

I check my emails on a daily on a basis on the computer, but the icon still shows them as unread on my BlackBerry, which in turn leaves the yellow envelope/red asterisk on my home screen. View 10 Replies View RelatedMy Tour will not turn on after about 2 weeks of inactivity. The battery was stored in it at appx 40% (I realize this was probably a mistake...). When plugged into the charger, the red light goes on for appx 10 secs, then turns off (whether battery is in or out). Several battery pulls have not made a difference. Phone has been plugged in for over an hour now, with no result. Tried putting the battery in with the phone plugged/unplugged. Plugging phone into PC USB tries to install the drivers (so it's def not fried)

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe small clock kept showing up in the middle of the screen on my blackberry. A vzw rep told me sometimes I need to reboot my blackberry because its like a computer. So, I took the battery out and put it back in to reboot it and it won't come on. A white blank background will show up with the small clock in the middle. Then the screen will go black with the small clock in the middle and the red light blinking.

Like I held my ear to the rear speaker, and the sound is very faint. I have Sounds:Dial pad touch-tones checked. While the dial pad is open, I turned the volume rocker on the side of the phone all the way up. All that did was turn up the in call volume, did nothing for the touch-tone volume. I have tried turning up all the volume sliders to see if it had any effect. No, that didn't work. I also tried the hard re-boot (power and volume down buttons), and still no luck.

I changed the housing in my Tour to make it white but the trackball doesn't sit right and i have a problem scrolling down. View 10 Replies View RelatedI plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....

I've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).
Is this possible if so how?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've researched my problem on other posts, and still not completely sure if my problem is unique or not.I have an unlocked Sprint 9630 I grabbed from our IT department before a trip to Turkey. It was supposedly deactivated - turns out it is still active on a Sprint number.
I've replaced the Sprint SIM with an Avea Turkish prepaid SIM that has data and Blackberry capability. It works fine for phone and text, but no ability to register the email with Avea Blackberry. Tech support there unable to determine the problem (unable to connect to server is the error message, both with phone and online).If I can deactive the Sprint number will that help? Or am I just out of luck.
I have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?
