View 8 Repliesthe dial tones when typing a phone number on the normal profile of the blackberry is ridiculously loud. You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring. How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt must be possible to have a different ring tones etc for different individuals.I can't see how I can do this, is there a way?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAbout 6 weeks ago I went out, dropped my phone and the next day I noticed the ringer wasn't working. I pulled the battery after I had no idea what else to do and the ringtones/notifications worked again. However about every 5 or 6 days the same thing happens and I have to pull the battery. I also noticed that when I check the ringtone options whenever the ringtones fail the BB says "invalid ringtone, please choose anther ringtone"could it be that the loudspeaker is loose? It's not busted because it works most of the time and a battery pull seems to solve the issue.Just now I had to pull the battery again to get the ringtones sounding.

Is there a way to tell the iPhone to "hold my messages" until I hang up?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAm I the only person who is unable to figure out how to play system notification tones over a bluetooth ear piece? My old Moto Q did. What I'm talking about is to have meeting warning tones and e-mail / text message arrival tones play thru the earpiece. For that matter - why can't we redirect ALL sounds that go to the phone's speaker go to bluetooth???
I have missed more meetings and not responded fast enough to a number of e-mails because of this.
Anybody have a way to make this work? I haven't found anything in the market place that works.
Every time I receive an Email through my yahoo account, I get a text message notification of the email as well. How do I make this stop?I don't text a lot so I don't have unlimited texts on my account. Kind of annoying to have to delete texts as well as the fact that it's eating my monthly text allotment. I have been through every options menu and have not located anything that addresses this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedRing/Notification tones randomly change after media rebuild
I had to rebuild my media library to get rid of some "ghost " image thumbnails in the gallery. I deleted all data associated with Media Storage and rebooted.
This totally hosed up my Ring/Notification tones. Why should a rebuild of the media library make a difference?
Is there any way I can turn off the dial tones for when I am dialing a phone #? Sounds are off for my keypad otherwise (txt, browser, etc). I don't like my keys beeping at me! Especially the beepboopblurrp when I hold 1 to dial my voicemail. Can this be turned off?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to customize the phone so you can have a non-vibrate ring tone yet at the same time turn off the annoying key press 'chimes'? Typing a text message is like playing an off-key symphony. I'd really like my key presses to be silent like they are when the phone is in vibrate mode.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 9860 and would like to know how to turn off dial pad tones: when I key a phone number I hear a tone after keying each number. It is very annoying when I weak headset.
The option Turn on/off key tones (in Typing and Input > Keyboard ; Select the Key Tone checkbox) works only for the alphanumeric key board, but not for the numeric phone dial pad.
When making a call the S6 makes a connection tone and a disconnection tone at the end of the call. You could turn this off on the S5 I cannot find where to turn it off on the S6.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a bold 9650 and for the life of me can't figure out how to set up a tone to notify me when I have a new email. I used to have a Pearl which was much easier to navigate but my husband spilled beer on it and effectively destroyed the thing. I LOATHE having to reset all of my preferences, etc, and for some reason or other I can't seem to locate how to set a tone alert for new emails.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had some problems with my BOLD 9900 recognizing my BlackBerry ID, so I thought the clever move would be to take the battery out whilst the phone was on, but the phone has now lost all pre-loaded Ringtones, Notifier Tones,Reminder Tones, Alarm Tones. The shop I bought the phone from said it would take two weeks to repair it.The shop I didn't buy the phone from said they have a straight swap policy with Blackberry.....(I'll buy my next phone there)Another shop said they could fix it by wiping the phone and downloading the software anew, but for a price. Who knows how all these pre-loaded Tones can be returned to the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSince buying my BlackBerry Bold 9000 phone I have had problems with the ringtone volume. Despite setting the volume to maximum I still miss my calls because you can barely hear the ringtone when a call comes through. Is this normal with this model or am I just unlucky?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I change the sound profile, my custom alert tones for eBay and UberTwitter apps change to silent and to different sounds than those I chose.
I already tried a RIM support solution that calls for clearing a corrupted profiles database. It helped for a few days. Now the issue is back, and today it even made all my LED alerts turn to off.
A friend of mine is having the same issue. We both use the Bold with TMO's stock OS.
I have a Bold 9900 supplied through my employer. They has asked me to setup audible alerts on mails received from a specific contact. What I have done so far: Added sender to my contacts listTurned off message tones from the "Normal" profileTurned on messgae tones for the specific contact Ensured, When I recieve an email from this contact I get an audible tone "ONLY" if the phone is unlocked. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a BB bold 9700. It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:
Uncaught exception:
Application
net_rim_bb_camera(238) is not responding; process terminated
I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.
The about screen shows the following:
v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.9.91)
I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.
I've spent the last hour fruitlessly searching my phones settings to get rid of this annoying notification without success. I don't need to see this "emergency" alert that it's lightly raining every time I open my phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow I can turn off the battery full notification. It is constantly vibrating and making noise especially while I am using it while on the charger. I have looked around and didn't find much on how to do it except for rooting but have been apprehensive about that because of the new updates apparently have made it difficult.
So, how it can be done (including how to root after the updates if need be) ....
For most apps such as Facebook, Facebook messenger, and what's app I leave all my notification settings turned off aside from the red bubble. I don't need any extra notification from these apps.
Recently everytime II open up any one of those apps I get a pop up of some sort within the app covering the whole screen telling me how to turn on all my notifications for the app and I have to "x" out of it everytime before I can get into the actual app. If I do what it says and turn on all the notifications it stops but I don't want all those notifications.
