Is there any way to customize the phone so you can have a non-vibrate ring tone yet at the same time turn off the annoying key press 'chimes'? Typing a text message is like playing an off-key symphony. I'd really like my key presses to be silent like they are when the phone is in vibrate mode.

It is annoying me.I know Hepatic feedback is off ( I don't need this) but I want vibrate on keypress to make it default I have been reboot several times, it comes back but I do not want to do the reboot which it is NOT normal.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have created a folder called media/audio/notifications on my sd card put an mp3 10second track on it, this appears in settings/sounds/ notifications along with the standard ones, it will play if i test it there (pressing the round button) click ok and the original ta da sound plays when i get a text. if i open settings/sounds/ notifications my new track is still highlighted. i got this phone cos i don't distinguish sounds too well and this is urgently needed.

The option Turn on/off key tones (in Typing and Input > Keyboard ; Select the Key Tone checkbox) works only for the alphanumeric key board, but not for the numeric phone dial pad.
Suddenly, this Samsung Galaxy s5 has started to beep every time there's a keypress / or a new screen pops up. I have checked every setting I know, and I didn't make any changes today.

You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring.How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?

I am having one problem with it that I can not seem to find any help or info for. I am using ring-tones I put on the SD card and every time I shut the phone off it sets the ring-tones back to default. I then have to set my ring-tones again. Does anybody know if there is a way around this? It seems like a stupid thing for the phone to do and its a little annoying.

However one thing I have found is that, unlike my old Samsung Monte, I can't assign individual test alert tones on a contact basis so that all have the same alert. Looking through forums it seems the way to go is to use a separate app that will do that and seems that there are three mainly recommended - chomp sms, handcent sms and Go SMS Pro. So I have two questions, firstly does anyone have recommendations as to which may be the better to go for of the three or have a better sugegstions. Secondly anything I need to do when installing an app on an android phone, probably a dumb quetion to some but I'd like to have use of my phone for more than a week before managing to blow it up

This month, it won't work.'ve tried everything I can think of - . Turned off Wi-Fi2. Long pressed the power button to make sure that data network mode is on3. Went to Settings -> Wireless & Network -> Mobile Networks. My 'use packet data' is checked. Network mode is GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) is selected, although I have also selected the 'GSM only' and 'WCDMA only' options to no avail. or the 'Access Point Names' option, I only have one option which is 'PAYG WAP', which is strange because I am on a monthly contract!

Does anyone know of a way to change this from playing an mp3 alarm to playing nothing? In other words, can I turn off these alarms? They're going off in the middle of the night in some cases. I think I can change a setting that makes them inactive when my phone is off, but I don't want to have to turn my phone off at night.

If I turn my phone off and want to turn it back on I cannot regardless of the battery level of the phone. I keep getting the exclamation mark start screen whenever I try after turning my phone off.

However if I turn the phone off and plug in the charger I have no problem at all.
My phone wont stay off, i turn it off but it reboots automatically, also the car mode keeps activating randomly/randomly thinks it is charging and connected to a pc.
I updated it to the latest firmware via kies as well. Edit: Phone is not rooted and alarm clock plus is also another app that randomly starts.
Got my favourite song on CD and want it as a ringtone. Have been able to do it on other phones but cant see how to do it here??

If I put it on vibrate or silent, and go into an app (or accidentally press the home button twice - damn that button!) it will still play the sounds. But..I don't want the speaker off all the time, just at certain times of the day.
