Why does blackberry always create problems and remove the older ring tones, why can't they just add new ones to the old ring tones.
When I bought mt 9700 I had to download the os5 ring tones. Now I do a search and can't find the link to it.How can I install the older ring tones on my 9900?

It is a T-mobile phone but I am using it with rogers.I have noticed a problem in that when I take a picture with the camera, it freezes at the "saving..." screen. I can hold down the BB menu button and get out of it, but the "saving..." screen at the bottom still remains. I can do a power on/off and it gets rid of it, and then it gives me the following message:

net_rim_bb_camera(238) is not responding; process terminated
I have noticed that when I press "Sounds and Ring tones" under options it freezes as well (and i get the uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_options_app(242) is not responding; process terminated). Similarly I can get out using the BB menu button.I should also note that I cannot get back into the frozen functinos if I get out using the BB menu button until after I restart.
The about screen shows the following:
v5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.9.91)
I just did a security wipe and have not added any apps or anything.
the dial tones when typing a phone number on the normal profile of the blackberry is ridiculously loud. You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring.How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had some problems with my BOLD 9900 recognizing my BlackBerry ID, so I thought the clever move would be to take the battery out whilst the phone was on, but the phone has now lost all pre-loaded Ringtones, Notifier Tones,Reminder Tones, Alarm Tones.The shop I bought the phone from said it would take two weeks to repair it.The shop I didn't buy the phone from said they have a straight swap policy with Blackberry.....(I'll buy my next phone there)Another shop said they could fix it by wiping the phone and downloading the software anew, but for a price. Who knows how all these pre-loaded Tones can be returned to the phone?

In the beginning all sounds were off but I managed to bring them back but the phone is only working on vibration mode. I tried several time to configure the phone ring settings but nothing happened. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 9900 is only a week old but has started behaving strangely. Sometimes it would stop ringing when a call comes but would show the name of the caller on the screeen. Picking up the call would result in the caller not hearing my voice. Once this happens , it would remain this way till I pull out the battery and restart it again. When in this situation , any outgoing call would also not work.
I've checked and I'm at the latest available update. (7.0.0 bundle 1346)
I have a Bold 9900. Of late, I have had a problem wherein I am unable to hear the phone's ring. The phone vibrates and I can see a call coming in. When I answer the call, I cant hear the person at the other end of the line, nor can the other person hear me. If I try ringing someone, I cant hear their phone ringing, but I get the message that we are connected, but cant have any conversation. When I do a full power off and restart, its all back to normal.

I cannot open my phone via PC like i did with some previous ones (through removable disk ( x: )) and then just dump some mp3 files (or converted files in some cases) and then I could see them in my phone and just add them as ringtones. I have also tried buying a ringtone and it sent me a text message with the link, i clicked retrived and it gave me an error on browser page. When you can't even BUY ur ringtones, theres a problem. Help appreciated.
I just got this phone yesterday. I did everything that everyone said, made the thing through ituens, under 40 seconds changed it to a m4r file put it in my tunes tab in itunes, and tabs tunes is checked to sync along with everything else but when i sync it my ringtones aren't anywhere please help!!! i need to put ringtones on my phone! I even unchecked the tunes synced my iphone again then checked the tunes tab again and still nothing?

Probably finger trouble.The volume is at maximum.I only have the standard ring tones.I cannot hear them when a call is received and also not when selecting them from Settings/ Tones/ Ring tone/More/Open gallery/Tones/Ring tones.I can hear the tones through the hands free earphone, both when a call is received and when selecting them .Being able to hear the keypad tones, with the handset not plugged in, I think means the mechanical speaker cutoff is not involved.

Once I had done this I noticed that my selection of ring tones had diminished from the ones previously installed with the new phone.Following the instructions for downloading ring tones (Media File - ringtones - select menu - then select Download Ring Tones) I notice that I do not have the option to Download! Even visiting the BB website it still tells me to follow the same instruction!

First off, when I upgraded it changed all my ring tones which is fine because I remember them all. But now when I go to change them, it only let's me choose music as ring tones. All the standard ones that came with the phone are missing, and those are what I was using. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to fix it? I don't like the ring tones it's using and would really like to change them back to what they were.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI cant change or set the ring tones and alerts on my phone. I go to Sounds scroll to Set ring tones/Alerts, click on but nothing happens. It just sits there with Set ring tones/Alerts highlighted but doing nothing? It used to work ok and I have used it to change and set ring tones in the past but now nothing happens. It never moves from that screen. Any ideas you clever clogs out there?
