Mar 5, 2011this only happened this morning after using my phone, i was browsing Internet, i had made a phone call, i had been on ovi stores and then suddenly the screen starts showing all of these multicoloured lines, flashing, like the display was giving up. it's a bit like when a computer monitor isn't plugged in properly. the touch still works, its just i can't see anything.i tried resetting the phone, which it did, but it seems as though the phone software isn't the problem, its the display on the screen.

Jan 23, 2012Three of the icons seem to not be functioning. Click on anything but Messages, Text Messages and Desktop and they open up. Click on any of those three mentioned above, and nothing. Actually, the device seems to lock up - keyboard locks and so does the trackpad. The only way out is to hit the end/power key, and then you have full function of the device. I've even tried holding down any one of the keys mentioned until the pop up menu comes up, and then attempt "launch," and the same thing occurs. The only way in to a message (for example) is to go to the Notification Bar, click it, then click the specific message. I did this, then tried to come in the "side door" by hitting the Menu Key, then scrolling to View Folder, then to Inbox (for example) and as fast as you can click, it dumps you back out.

Oct 16, 2014I've had my HTC One M8 for about 3 months now. The lock screen has never worked, but it was never really a problem so I didn't bother with it. Recently I had a disaster where I pocket-sent out some pictures that didn't need to be shared, and now the lock screen would really come in handy lol.
I got to "Settings" - "Personalize" - "Lock Screen Wallpaper" - and I've tried both the "Home Screen Wallpaper" and "Use Custom Wallpaper". It acts as though it's accepted whichever option I choose, but it never actually shows up on the phone when I activate the screen.

So I have to lock the screen and unlock it again Southam it will function back. I did went to a repair store already but the tech said I have to send it to there main branch to be repaired. I have 2 months left with my warranty but the thing is, my phone is having a Crack on the side because last year when I got this it accidentally fell off my pocket but after that there's nothing wrong with my z2. So I'm just wonder if the Crack will make my warranty void or something??

Aug 9, 2010I have no idea what's happened, but since I last looked my phone refuses to recognise input from keys. The keyboard, top keys (red./green, menu, return) and even the side shortcuts are all useless. I've tried a battery pull, it turns on ok and I can use the scroller to move along the shortcut bar, but as soon as it times out and the light goes off even that won't bring function back. I'm pretty much stuck with a paperweight.

BB Curve :: Trackpad Stopped On Functioning
Sep 13, 2012Last week, all of a sudden my phone's trackpad stopped on functioning. We went to the mall to try to get it fixed, then the guy removed the battery for a while, then placed it back after a few minutes and it started working well again. Just today, the same thing happened, while I'm using an app, the trackpad stopped from working again and I tried to do several times what the guy did, but it won't work anymore.

I used the built in Backup and Restore app to backup my messages (conversations) to my SD card (everything else was backed up through Google already). Well, every time I hit the restore option it finds the file and acts like it is restoring, only to leave me with nothing. And every time I reset my phone it alerts me that a backup is detected and wants to do a restore.

Jan 18, 2015Have had my S5 for 8mos, it's an unlocked Rogers phone on Bell network, working well. Recently bought new car, 2014 Civic EX, and trying to use "car mode."
When bluetooth not in use, it works great... voice command "Hi Galaxy" wakes it up, voice activated messages/calls sent/placed seamlessly. But, as soon as I connect to bluetooth device, it doesn't work! At first thought it was something to do with bluetooth system in my car, but connecting to my old blueant headset does same thing, as does connecting to my friend's car.
Saying Hi Galaxy will change the display to speak now with red mic symbol, but the audible beep that prompts you to say voice command is absent, and the phone doesn't recognize any voice commands at all. After ~ 4 seconds, the display reverts back to say "Hi Galaxy." I have looked through all settings I could think might have an impact on it's function, but can't get it to work.
