Last week, all of a sudden my phone's trackpad stopped on functioning. We went to the mall to try to get it fixed, then the guy removed the battery for a while, then placed it back after a few minutes and it started working well again. Just today, the same thing happened, while I'm using an app, the trackpad stopped from working again and I tried to do several times what the guy did, but it won't work anymore.
So about a week ago, my trackpad stopped working, to get it to scroll I had to hold a piece of clothing such as my shirt between the trackpad and my thumb. It would go between working and not working without the article of clothing for a few days but now it only works if I have something between my thumb and the trackpad. Not sure what to do, I got it 9 months ago and its in really good condition.
The trackpad on my BB Curve 9300 has stopped working. At first there were some glitches wherein the trackpad was unresponsive. After a few tries or after restarting the device, it began to work properly again. Just recently the trackpad stop to work altogether. I don't know if this is hardware related or if there's just a problem with software since I saw error messages regarding "java" or something. Also, I don't know if this is related but the problems started just after I added lock protection to my phone.
After doing a few battery pulls its still not working.I've done some searching now for about an hour and comming up empty handed. I have a friend with an 8520 Curve from I-Wireless. After a couple days of using it his trackpad stopped. Now to me from reading it seem that most problems lie with the 8520 series and also seems that its a software issue as a batt pull will fix it for abit. Will updating to os 5.0 beta fix this problem or does the problem lie elsewhere?
I have downloaded Black berry app world 3.1.0.60 and my camera has stopped functioning with message"Could not start camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again" but even after rebooting its not working.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 with 7.0 OS. When I try to use my camera, It says "unable to start camera. Close down running applications". Holding down my menu key does not bring up another window to close apps
So I updated to 5.1.1...and I'm regretting it big time. After the last update the camera wouldn't focus and that was already bad. Now if I try to open the camera I just get the message "unfortunately, camera has stopped". That is in the native camera app. Using google camera, I get a clack screen. Using instagram, the same.
I have just recently noticed that my speakerphone stopped functioning during a call. I can hear, but when speakerphone is pushed, the other party doesn't hear me. My mic works fine so that's not it.
My voicemail system has stopped functioning. I literally watched my voicemails vanish one by one in front of my eyes. I can't record a greeting and can't receive messages. I have a suspicion that is happened after I downloaded the latest operation system.
I recently upgraded the firmware of my Nokia E71 to the latest version i.e. 500-21-009. I followed the instructions in Nokia site and took complete backup before upgrading and restored entire stuff after upgrade. Now, though my settings are intact as it was before upgrade and my operator (Airtel) also confirmed that my GPRS subscription is active, I can not connect to Web nor can check my emails.
Whenever I attempt to browse, it gives an error message saying - 'Connection Not available'! In fact, I checked inserting my CIM card to another Nokia phone and could browse Internet with same GPRS settings as in E71.
Opera mini browser has stopped functioning on my nokia 2700 classic phone since 25th May. All the other apps associated with GPRS are working fine though.
Not long before receiving a notice about an update for my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, the music player stopped functioning properly. If I try to play a song from "All songs", I get the message "File is corrupted, Operation cancelled."
If I try the same through Albums, Playlists, Genres or Composers, I get the same message.
If I try to access anything through Artists, I get the message "General: System Error"
Podcasts works just fine.
I can play music tracks if I browse my files on my memory card, and play from there.
I have tried using Nokia Software Updater and reinstalling the newest update, and reseting my phone to factory default.
I updated my NOKIA 5230 to the newer version of firmware (New software releases (version 50.x.00x) are now available for Nokia 5230, 5235 and 5238 *) after updating my phone with this great update my phone's bluetooth stopped functioning totally.I first checked the visibility of bluetooth of my phone to other devices; It was ok.I Switched off the phone and put it on many times But there was no difference. Then I did reset the phone by doing *#7370# ; there was the same problem.I got fed up and reinstalled the update. But the problem is same.I surfed on the net and found that many people are facing the same problem with this new update, so I thought that let me inform you about your BETA UPDATE version 50.x.00x
Since around 2 weeks I have a Torch 9860. Yesterday evening, when I was not using the device the Torch suddenly stopped functioning. When I turned it on again it said it was setting up but it didn't do anything. So after a few minutes I turned it off and on again but now it didn't react at all (so screen stays black, no button lightens up etc.). I can't get it turned on again, not even when I removed the battery for a few minutes. I also tried to charge it again as I wanted to be sure the battery was charged but this doesn't work either.
I have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty). This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
I have a bold 9780 Recently my trackpad has been playing up(not repsonding to my touch) and when it does respond it flys everywhere uncontrollably and the centre bit doesnt work either. i have taken battery out several times. i have also tried updating and restoring to original factory settings. I have backed up etc. This still hasnt worked. has anyone else had these problems.
Just randomly the other day my trackpad stopped working. It works to select by pressing in but won't scroll at all. I've tried a few battery pulls and no use.
How do I get my trackpad to operate again? I stays stuck on one app and I cannot move it around to select other apps. Cannot access contacts or e-mails.
I love the camera on my phone, and constantly use the focus function with the trackpad. It suddenly stopped working - and I cant figure out why. Went through all the options, did a reboot, removed the battery etc - same result. The trackpad works on the bottom menu items, but it used to be that I could use it to focus in and out (up and down).
Three of the icons seem to not be functioning. Click on anything but Messages, Text Messages and Desktop and they open up. Click on any of those three mentioned above, and nothing. Actually, the device seems to lock up - keyboard locks and so does the trackpad. The only way out is to hit the end/power key, and then you have full function of the device. I've even tried holding down any one of the keys mentioned until the pop up menu comes up, and then attempt "launch," and the same thing occurs. The only way in to a message (for example) is to go to the Notification Bar, click it, then click the specific message. I did this, then tried to come in the "side door" by hitting the Menu Key, then scrolling to View Folder, then to Inbox (for example) and as fast as you can click, it dumps you back out.
my blackberry curve shows something I have never seen in the past it is a blank white page with the message in small black text saying "App Error 523" and below it the word Reset
I have no idea what's happened, but since I last looked my phone refuses to recognise input from keys. The keyboard, top keys (red./green, menu, return) and even the side shortcuts are all useless. I've tried a battery pull, it turns on ok and I can use the scroller to move along the shortcut bar, but as soon as it times out and the light goes off even that won't bring function back. I'm pretty much stuck with a paperweight. Device info Your carrier: O2 (UK) Model info and OS version (Go to Settings, then Options, then about): ...wish I could! Apps and free space File free before and after a battery remove/replace. (Go to Settings, then Options, then status): --Did a battery pull fix your issue?: Nope.Apps installed and their version if possible: Just the defaults.BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): HDW-22736-002 Rev1 Ver2 1310 Any help would be really appreciated. It was working as normal until.I don't know. It was in my pocket for a couple of hours, then refused to do anything!

So i got my blackberry back at the End of july, and ever since blackberry went down in September i believe my track pad has not been functioning correctly. 3 weeks ago my track pad decided to stop working all together and i havn't gotten it to work since.
My trackpad wont go up and down when checking messages like text and whatsapp, but it functions normally when not checking messages....like it can go up and down in menu and internet page
I recently had water damage to my phone, I put it in the bowl of rice now everything works but the trackpad. How do I navigate? I've read about creating shortcuts but I can't use any of the methods because I can't scroll
