Last week, all of a sudden my phone's trackpad stopped on functioning. We went to the mall to try to get it fixed, then the guy removed the battery for a while, then placed it back after a few minutes and it started working well again. Just today, the same thing happened, while I'm using an app, the trackpad stopped from working again and I tried to do several times what the guy did, but it won't work anymore.
View 1 RepliesSo about a week ago, my trackpad stopped working, to get it to scroll I had to hold a piece of clothing such as my shirt between the trackpad and my thumb. It would go between working and not working without the article of clothing for a few days but now it only works if I have something between my thumb and the trackpad. Not sure what to do, I got it 9 months ago and its in really good condition.

View 8 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my BB Curve 9300 has stopped working. At first there were some glitches wherein the trackpad was unresponsive. After a few tries or after restarting the device, it began to work properly again. Just recently the trackpad stop to work altogether. I don't know if this is hardware related or if there's just a problem with software since I saw error messages regarding "java" or something. Also, I don't know if this is related but the problems started just after I added lock protection to my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter doing a few battery pulls its still not working.I've done some searching now for about an hour and comming up empty handed. I have a friend with an 8520 Curve from I-Wireless. After a couple days of using it his trackpad stopped. Now to me from reading it seem that most problems lie with the 8520 series and also seems that its a software issue as a batt pull will fix it for abit. Will updating to os 5.0 beta fix this problem or does the problem lie elsewhere?

I recently upgraded the firmware of my Nokia E71 to the latest version i.e. 500-21-009. I followed the instructions in Nokia site and took complete backup before upgrading and restored entire stuff after upgrade. Now, though my settings are intact as it was before upgrade and my operator (Airtel) also confirmed that my GPRS subscription is active, I can not connect to Web nor can check my emails.
Whenever I attempt to browse, it gives an error message saying - 'Connection Not available'! In fact, I checked inserting my CIM card to another Nokia phone and could browse Internet with same GPRS settings as in E71.

If I try the same through Albums, Playlists, Genres or Composers, I get the same message.
If I try to access anything through Artists, I get the message "General: System Error"
Podcasts works just fine.
I can play music tracks if I browse my files on my memory card, and play from there.
I have tried using Nokia Software Updater and reinstalling the newest update, and reseting my phone to factory default.

When I turned it on again it said it was setting up but it didn't do anything. So after a few minutes I turned it off and on again but now it didn't react at all (so screen stays black, no button lightens up etc.). I can't get it turned on again, not even when I removed the battery for a few minutes. I also tried to charge it again as I wanted to be sure the battery was charged but this doesn't work either.

1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
i've done the reboot by removing the battery, restored it and got a new trackpad that work for about and hour and its still playing up!

View 3 Replies View RelatedThree of the icons seem to not be functioning. Click on anything but Messages, Text Messages and Desktop and they open up. Click on any of those three mentioned above, and nothing. Actually, the device seems to lock up - keyboard locks and so does the trackpad. The only way out is to hit the end/power key, and then you have full function of the device. I've even tried holding down any one of the keys mentioned until the pop up menu comes up, and then attempt "launch," and the same thing occurs. The only way in to a message (for example) is to go to the Notification Bar, click it, then click the specific message. I did this, then tried to come in the "side door" by hitting the Menu Key, then scrolling to View Folder, then to Inbox (for example) and as fast as you can click, it dumps you back out.

So i got my blackberry back at the End of july, and ever since blackberry went down in September i believe my track pad has not been functioning correctly. 3 weeks ago my track pad decided to stop working all together and i havn't gotten it to work since.
