Xperia X10 :: Media Sound In Is Low-pitched
Jan 22, 2011the sound my x10's media is so low-pitched.. however, the sound of ringtones is very good... knowing that, I did augment the sound of the media to its maximum.

Jul 10, 2014Sometimes when the camera starts focusing to make a picture, it makes a really high pitched sound. It continues when the camera has focused until the picture is made. The sound certainly doesn't come from the speakers and isn't triggered by the phone itself but purely by the camera on the back, so it has to be something hardware related.
It isn't that big of a problem, the camera certainly isn't malfunctioning, but I was with a friend today who asked me what that sound was and I'm wondering as well, since it isn't supposed to produce sounds like that.

Nov 5, 2011I record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.

Nov 23, 2011Since about 6 hours ago, there was no sound coming out from my phone when I play any media. Neither was there any sound when I made a call. The funny thing is that when I paired it to my Jabra Clipper Bluetooth headset, I could make calls without any problems. However, no sound will come out from the headset when I play any media. he problem persisted even after I did a forced reboot.

Sep 14, 2012A little over a month ago I purchased my first BB, a Curve 8530 from Boost and I signed up for their service. Right from the box, that phone had a very high frequency noise that I could hear when I held it to my ear and I thought it was coming from the speaker, but after some experimentation I found that it was coming from the screen whenever it was lit. So, I contacted Boost and they sent me a replacement, but the one that I have now does the same thing, and maybe even a little louder. I have owned/used a fair number of different cell phones in my life, and this is the first phone that I've ever had this problem with. Is this a common issue with this particular model of phone, or are all Blackberrys this way? If it is a known issue with the 8530, I am going to talk to Boost about upgrading me to the 9310 (that they introduced right after I ordered the 8530!), but if it is a Blackberry issue then I am going to sell the one that I have and get the Evo or the Galaxy that Boost offers.

Jan 4, 2012I have just installed a CK-100 into a vehicle. Connected to an iphone 4 via Bluetooth. Music audio is outputted through the RCA sockets into the AUX in of my stereo. Every 10 minutes or so of playing music there is high pitched noise which comes over the top of the audio. Lasts about 20 seconds and then the audio is OK again. Has anyone had this problem? Both latest firmware's.

However this time even with those files completely deleted the camera app still make the shutter sound. May 14, 2011I've found in the Market many apps named like "Anti-mosquito", which claim to be able to keep mosquitos away: indeed, they achieve this by playing high-pitched sounds which are annoying to mosquitos and - yes! - they work.
Of course, this can be done by just playing repeatedly high pitched sounds, which, depending on the kind of mosquito you want to get rid off, may be in the range from 14 to 25 KHz.
Since I don't know whether playing so highly pitched sounds for a long time could damage the phone, I've asked the Italian support. They looked confused, indeed.
At first, they asked which app was I asking about and said that, anyway, all apps from the Market "are developed and managed directly by Google" (sic).
Then, when I pointed out that, put aside the fact that apps in the Market are not being developed by Google, I wasn't talking about apps and software but of particular sounds and hardware, they escalated the question to their technical department.
I was asked again which app I wanted information about (!!) and then, after telling again that I meant nothing more than playing a 14-25 KHz-pitched mp3 for a long time, they answered that no, that may not harm the phone but they couldn't be 100% sure.
I've asked them about the audio playback hardware, about who produced it and whether those latter could answer. The final answer, that they suppose is enough to close my ticket, is that "nobody could say for sure that playing high-pitched tones for a long time wouldn't damage the phone".
This is a nonsense to me, since hardware must have technical specs. Does Motorola International have got a better answer?

I see everyone else already has Android 2.1 update so although it is the XD video I am really keen on getting! I have downloaded the Media Synch for Mac and mounted my phone -the automatic upload on the phone just says connect to a computer as new software update available. The Sony Ericsson site only gets as far as if using Safari click on 'help' in media synch BUT there is no help- the search bar doesn't load? You tube only has the Media Go option, which I previously used. how I can actually get these updates? especially the HD video

Sep 8, 2015i have this problem of my xperia z2, its kinda weird coz the volume rocker works when i press it up and down so i can hear the ringtone volume go up and down, also with the alarm, but when i play anything in media, video, audio or youtube, even when i put the volume at max it doesnt seem to play anything, basically everything works except for the media volume, especially with calls, i cant hear the person im talking to coz it seems like the media volume is stuck on mute event if i turn it to max volume, tried rebooting, safe mode, cache wipes, etc.. everything.. I not gonna post here if its not the last resort. Android 5.1.1 xperia z2 user btw
also i already tried the diagnostics tab, the loudspeaker and ear speaker doesn't seem to pass, but when i reboot it i can hear the speakers working, even when i asked someone to call me i can hear the ringtone ringing except when i answer the call i wonr be able to hear anything

Sep 2, 2010here is my another bad experience with the Xperia X10...This time I wanted to play some media , a WMV file, from FOXDIGITALCOPY, and it seems Xperia doesnt support it - atleast that's what the FOXDIGITALCOPY software tells me when I tried to sync up the media from my PC.Also, this file doesnt even show up on the mediascape screen though I copied into the videos folder where other videos are saved.I tried to play a more smaller and simpler file - the wildlife HD video sample from Windows - which is again a WMV file.This time, Xperia tries to play it, but the video only comes up as stills while the audio plays as normal.

Jan 24, 2010Since upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?

Jul 31, 2010I have Storm (9500) and I've been trying for a few hours to transfer photos from my media card to my PC. Every time I connect to Media Sync with my Storm, I receive a messages saying my device is not recognised and to make sure the card is inserted correctly etc. here is what I have done and I still receive the same message -
Taken out the media card and reinserted it
Taken out the battery and reinserted it
turned all the settings in (Options Memory) to on
Auto Enable Mass Sttorage Mode when Connected is set to Yes
Tried connecting to all USB ports on the PC ( I have 4)
PC OS is Windows 7
I've checked for all possible updates on BlackBerry Software (Device and Desktop and Media Sync) I have a completely updates Storm in terms of Software.
