When I download music file to any folder, at the first time player (stock player of my Xperia Ray) can play it, but if I move this file to another folder, player tells me about "error opening file", it can't find it. What can I do to fix this problem?
So I want to add a ringtone to one of my contacts and when I go to add one I get my entire media library (including videos). Is there a way to filter that out so I can only see one type of files, like .aac?
I have Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman phone and I try to find a way to play and view my mp3 files in media player as their folder structure is when I copied them to phone memory card - but have had no luck. The problem is that most music I listen is in a mixed form - lots of folders (witch name i like to see and choose in the player) and each consist about 20 various songs. In player under "Music" menu are items like "Artists", "Albums", "Tracks"... but no Folders. I cannot find any folder that way as "Albums" menu shows album name in ID3 tag but my folder structure is different (in one folder songs ID3 has different album name). So I have like 500 artists, 200 albums, 1500 tracks and no way to find what i want - for example to play one folder contents continuously. Only way I can think of right now seems to change all my mp3 ID3-tag album names same as my folder structure names but that choice is really bad because I don't want to lose original ID3 info and also modifying is really tedious when have to change few hundred folders of songs. So am I missing something obvious or what should I do to enable that simple behavior described above? One more thought - maybe in phone is some config file available where album names are stored and change all album names to folder names in there and not running "Update media" after that?
When I start the Media Sync program on my XP machine I immediately get a pop up that says the program has encountered an error and needs to close. It is the most recent version. This problem seems to not to be affected by whether or not Media Sync is started alone or through the Desktop manager.
However, the program opens, and acts like it is running anyway. (Just ignore the pop up.) A week ago, it was seeing my iTunes library and I could use it to put music from a playlist onto my Tour. Now, however, it does not see the iTunes library/playlist. It says it my library contains no songs. Sometimes, multiple attempts to start it it, it will see them, but then I cannot click the boxes that allow me to choose the playlist to sync them to the BB.
I have a Nokia 6600 Slide with the latest software (V6.55). I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function. When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu. This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).
Is there a limit to the amount of times I can renew my warranty? I've had my phone replaced twice during the year because my mute slider became loose. I already renewed my apple care warranty once and the "genius" told me that I cant do it again.
We know that Maps are free on Nokia phones. But when I installed the Ovi maps on my Nokia e71, it says that my India navigation license has expired on 14-2-1009 and I have to renew it. Why would that be? How do I start using my free maps?

My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.
How to refresh the playlist in the player? Some files are removed from MicroSD card long time ago but I still see it in playlist. Moreover, there were sound files of GPS-navigation. Files .nomedia I put in the media folders.
Anyone knows if (and how) is possible to renew the Ovi music unlimited?I bought a nokia 5800 with "Came with music (Italia)" option last december. It will end the 23.I have read that is possible to renew it from 30 day before the end up to 30 day after the end.I want, if it is possible, to renew it for another one year. I have followed the instruction present on support site but I'm not able to renew the service because at this address: [URL]..account/extend I don't find nothing related to renew (Only a link to know when the service will be over)I have sent one support request more than one week ago in the contact session but I had no answer (Maybe it is a difficult question!?!).Now I'm trying to find answer within the forum..
I wanted to change my phone ringtone and notification ringtone earlier and I noticed the option to choose from my music library is not showing up. I restarted several times to no avail

I recently updated my N70 Firmware to v32 using OTA update. but his prob has been there since b4 doing the update.
how to sort your music on your phone. Is there any way I can create different folders with music or X10 always sorts everything by album, artist etc. ? Also how do you add your own ringtons for text message notifications?
I initially synced with Media Go and all of my music transferred, but now that I have made some changes on Media Go, I don't know how to make them transfer to my phone. I connect my phone to the computer, and my phone shows up as a F: drive device. I am used to iTunes and there being a Sync button.
installed sony pc companion when i purchased X8 the firmware on the phone and everything else is the latest version if i have an mp3 album within my music library, media go stores it as an album with all the metadata for that album the same but having transferred to my x8, it gets split up into different individual artists!
Since my pc blew up I am using a work macbook -my X10 has been saying new updates for ages but every time I tried to update it said it was up-to-date. I see everyone else already has Android 2.1 update so although it is the XD video I am really keen on getting! I have downloaded the Media Synch for Mac and mounted my phone -the automatic upload on the phone just says connect to a computer as new software update available. The Sony Ericsson site only gets as far as if using Safari click on 'help' in media synch BUT there is no help- the search bar doesn't load? You tube only has the Media Go option, which I previously used. how I can actually get these updates? especially the HD video
the sound my x10's media is so low-pitched.. however, the sound of ringtones is very good... knowing that, I did augment the sound of the media to its maximum.
when i install the media go software it shows an error named "install microsoft windows media format 11 runtime" and after i found it and installed it it's again showing the same message
i have this problem of my xperia z2, its kinda weird coz the volume rocker works when i press it up and down so i can hear the ringtone volume go up and down, also with the alarm, but when i play anything in media, video, audio or youtube, even when i put the volume at max it doesnt seem to play anything, basically everything works except for the media volume, especially with calls, i cant hear the person im talking to coz it seems like the media volume is stuck on mute event if i turn it to max volume, tried rebooting, safe mode, cache wipes, etc.. everything.. I not gonna post here if its not the last resort. Android 5.1.1 xperia z2 user btw
also i already tried the diagnostics tab, the loudspeaker and ear speaker doesn't seem to pass, but when i reboot it i can hear the speakers working, even when i asked someone to call me i can hear the ringtone ringing except when i answer the call i wonr be able to hear anything
here is my another bad experience with the Xperia X10...This time I wanted to play some media , a WMV file, from FOXDIGITALCOPY, and it seems Xperia doesnt support it - atleast that's what the FOXDIGITALCOPY software tells me when I tried to sync up the media from my PC.Also, this file doesnt even show up on the mediascape screen though I copied into the videos folder where other videos are saved.I tried to play a more smaller and simpler file - the wildlife HD video sample from Windows - which is again a WMV file. This time, Xperia tries to play it, but the video only comes up as stills while the audio plays as normal.
I want to know the some functions of the Media-scape. In music there has Audio books. What's that? How can I put the audio books. I means which format take for this audio books.
Since upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?
I am new here having jsut come from a BB Curve 8900 I love the speed of the new 9700 its a million times better. Anyway, I have a 2gb card installed but under the settings and memory section it says no card found. is there a way of getting it to reconise the card as my phone says its only got 90MB of internal memorey left which wont do me as I use it as a mp3 player as well.
I'm, new to blackberry, and on the first day I plugged my Curve 8520 to the computer and the Desktop Manager "recommended" to upgrade to the latest OS (v5.0.0.592 - Bundle1096 Platform 5.2.0.64). Since that I only have one glitch, the media folder is called net_rim_bb_file_explorer.Media I assume that's the internal name, not the display name, anyone knows how to rename it?? I don't want to mess with the OS by downgrading or things like that, I'm quite happy with how the phone works as it is...
