here is my another bad experience with the Xperia X10...This time I wanted to play some media , a WMV file, from FOXDIGITALCOPY, and it seems Xperia doesnt support it - atleast that's what the FOXDIGITALCOPY software tells me when I tried to sync up the media from my PC.Also, this file doesnt even show up on the mediascape screen though I copied into the videos folder where other videos are saved.I tried to play a more smaller and simpler file - the wildlife HD video sample from Windows - which is again a WMV file. This time, Xperia tries to play it, but the video only comes up as stills while the audio plays as normal.
ive owned the 9320 for about a month now and this morning its deicded to not play any sound, at all.Ive not changed any setting, ive also checked that I havent muted the phone, its using its normal sound scheme, which I have been using this past month or so.It also isnt playing any media files, I have a few of my mp3's saved to the phone to the listen to, any time I try to open a song, I get an error saying device cant read file.
Why the music and ringtones are together, when I use the media player the ringtones play? Should I make another folder to separate them? If I do this I am concerned the ringtones won't be found and won't play.
My sister accidentally cleared the data for the PhotoAnalyzerService app (com.sonymobile.photoanalyzer 5.5.A.0.10) in the app manager on her Z2.
That caused the Album app to disappear from the app drawr. Since then, she updated Album (com.sonyericsson.album) from the Play Store, and that caused the Album icon to reappear in the app drawr. However, something is wrong with how media is handled by the phone now:
I wonder if anyone here knows how to load standard subtitles files (.srt) while playing video files (like .avi) on my SGS2. There's an idle "Subtitles" button on the bottom right of the player's menu, which I hadn't been able to use. Should I try a different one from the Android market?
I'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
I have recently noticed that whilst playing Spotify (and also after) media server seems to be using up lots of my batter. All my Spotify songs are saved onto my SD card, and I understand mediaserver plays a part in playing the songs but I was wondering if it is normal to have such a high percentage? I used to have amazing battery life on my M8 but ever since buying this SD card it seems to have taken a tumble.

I just got a new X1 and am trying to play MP3 files. The samples work OK as does the radio. I have put several MP3 files on a card and installed the card in the phone but the phone says there are no music files. I have tried 2 different cards - both formatted in FAT and FAT 32 but still the files are not seen. Is the phone faulty or is there something else I need to do?
does anyone have a problem with lowering the volume when playing media player ?? because sometimes when i did lower the volume it's like i did track down.i had this before and after the upgrade, i'm using .442 now
My Iphone 4 just turned its self off and I cant get it to turn back on. It was fully charged and playing the Bell Media App when it ceased functioning. I tried turning it on with the button on top and nothing is happening. I have plugged it into my macbook & Itunes is not recognizing it.
Since about 6 hours ago, there was no sound coming out from my phone when I play any media. Neither was there any sound when I made a call. The funny thing is that when I paired it to my Jabra Clipper Bluetooth headset, I could make calls without any problems. However, no sound will come out from the headset when I play any media. he problem persisted even after I did a forced reboot.
It's sad that the Nokia 5800 in spite of having a huge screen and an awesome resolution doesn't play movies in .avi format. Although you can convert the videos to another supported format, this is really not the solution. This is because of two reasons:
1. AVI files are the most common to find.
2. They are small/compact in size when compared to mpeg4.
I tried installing divx but clearly Nokia 5800 is not one of the supported models for this software. The divx player opens on the phone but you really cant see any controls, so it is basically as good as being non-functional. I have read about some ways to make the divx player work on 5800, but none of them sound convincing.
Is there any player out in the market that can help you play .avi files on Nokia 5800? Or are there any codecs for the phone like the K-lite codec for PCs to make avi files playable? There has to be some way!
I just buy a new blackberry storm 9530 and i put some songs from my PC in armory card and in out of 250 songs only one song start, rest of them showing unsupported formats?
I've ripped thousands of songs to my Windows 7 laptop. The directory structure is: Artist Name/Album/xxxxxxx.wma
I'd like to add a 128GB micro-SD card to my Galaxy S5 that will hold all my music. My phone has the 'Google Play Music' app installed but it doesn't support WMA files. The Google forum suggests I download their 'Music Manager' program for Windows. Will this work on an android phone?
Any other app that will accomplish what I want (using the above directory structure copied to the Galaxy micro-SD card)?
I can play my MP4 files using Zumocast, but not my M4V files. I see that M4V's are supported, so there must be something I'm doing when encoding them (I use Handbrake and the Apple TV preset). Is there any way to tell what it doesn't like abou them?
When I am listing to music mp3 files on shuffles every now and again I will get the mp3's that are associated with ringtones and text messages and alarms which are also mp3 and they are "talking tones", so imagine I am listening to Beyonce and the next song to play is "you have an incoming call!" - so any way to stop or hide them talking mp3 ringtones from when I just want to listen to mp3 music files?
My corporate voicemails are emailed as .wav file attachments. These .wav files played perfectly on my old droid x and play perfectly on my xoom. why they won't they play on my bionic? I used the stock music app on my droid x, double twist also worked. Double twist works great on my xoom tablet. Music nor double twist nor winamp work on my bionic.
Double Twist Error:
"Sorry the player does not support this type of audio file."
No Error with Music or Winamp, the file just does not play.
I've been having issues with my bb, while bbming and listening to music via the media player, minutes and even sometimes seconds after putting a song on my BB freezes up and reboots itself. I searched the forums for the exact same issue and didn't come across a thread. If anyone has any ideas or possibly a link to the solution feel free to toss err in.
I am unable to play Windows Media DRM files with Nokia Belle. This feature did work perfectly and without any issue on Symbian Anna SP1 that I was using. This time around I get no picture, just frames and garbled screen. The DRM license is valid, I did re-copy the files to Nokia N8 again since the DRM license was not preserved when I did backup my Nokia N8 before the update to Nokia Belle. There are no issues playing non-DRM files.I already regret upgrading to Nokia Belle due to the technical and user interface issue it already has (why are there two clocks on the main screen ?).I wish that I could downgrade securely back to Symbian Anna.
I was able to watch videos with .flv format in Anna OS, but after upgrade to Belle, I am not able to play the videos.s there any specific video software do I need to install or Belle doesn't support FLV format?
I am a new android user, so up until now I have been using itunes as my main source for organizing and playing music files. I don't want to use Google Play Music. What is the next best alternative to putting music on my phone so I can listen on the go?
I have found that mkv video files I have which are larger than 2GB will not play on my new 808. They play absolutely fine on the N8. I have tried with both Fat32 and exFat file systems on my 64GB microSD. Anything smaller than 2GB is fine.
Granted I am using Good Technologie's email client for work, but i get wav file attachments for all VM's left for me @ work via email.
I used to be able to just play them on the D2 with Froyo, but it looks like the GB version of the stock player for D3 doesn't play wav files...is this right??
Another other obvious media type file on your bb that either you copied there or might have come as an attachment? Do the tunes, voices, sounds, whatever actually exist in some fashion on your Tour? Or are they really coming from no where on your bb? What I'm trying to figure out, is a number of these "appended" sound files sound obscene or raunchy. So might it be some actual contamination of the OS or are these SOUNDS from things on folks BB's? Yes, I'm sure some folks have "cute" sound files or were sent such files but maybe it is more than that. Maybe the OS really was inappropriately tweaked.
