I am a new android user, so up until now I have been using itunes as my main source for organizing and playing music files. I don't want to use Google Play Music. What is the next best alternative to putting music on my phone so I can listen on the go?

I have couple of folders of mixed type of music on my PC and want to transfer them to my iphone and keep content of each folder together.. On PC, I changed the Album name for each file in each folder to Album 1, 2,3, .... (through propterty of the file). But when I transfer them to my Iphone, there are not under one album. there are distributed under Album & Artist, like:
Album 1 artist 1
Album 1 artist 2
Album 1 artist 3
.
.
.
Album 2 artist 1
[code]....
I couln't find any way to can see all for example Album 1 files under Album 1. I know that I can make playlist, but I have several albums and many files, so it will be a long and boring job to select songs one by one and put in a playlist. Is there any easier way to have better control of Iphone filing system? Or is there other application that can do this job easier?

I put language lessons on the player with files listed as Lesson 01, Lesson 02.....lesson 11, 12, 20 etc and rather than put them in proper order like anything else I have ever used to play them it is putting 1, 10, 11,12,13 etc together then putting 2,20,21,22 etc together.
How can I get it to sort the files normally?
Just got a new 6P from Google. I have it unlocked and TWRP installed, but no rooted just yet. Loading everything up on the phone, and I've come across an odd issue. I loaded my 1500 or so songs from my Samsung S5 to the 6P, and Google player only sees some of the songs. All the ones I bought from Amazon and some other random ones I'd ripped from our CD collection. Rocket Player sees them all, but won't play any but the ones Google Player plays. Tried some other music apps, but similar results.
I deleted all the songs, put them back in different folders, wiped the cache on Google Play and Rocket, booted the phone. I used ES File Explorer to go to individual albums and try to play the songs direct from there, but still does not work. I get "Couldn't play the track you selected".
Google search said to nuke all the music and go into Apps>Media and clear the storage, but that is not an option under Apps on this phone. Doesn't really seem like that kind of issue anyway, since it will play some of the songs.
Do I contact LG or Google? My touchscreen keyboard doesn't work and when I try to navigate the slide bar for playing music it acts like nothing has been pressed. So obviously I want replacement, it's been around 8 months or so since I bought the phone.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have the Bionic and have loaded Zumocast on my laptop and my desktop. My desktop music library is a few thousand song files in one folder. I get to listen to them using the random button on my Bionic with no problems. I have started Ripping all my music CDs to my laptop. They are stored in the Music file, the a sub file for each artist, then a sub album for each album, then the individual files. I must open each folder down to the album folder to listen to my laptop music. This means I can not use random and listen to all my files of all albums. My question is obviously, How can I listen to all the files without manually opening each folder to access them? Can Zumocast do this, or can you suggest a way for me to group all the music in one big playlist to access with Zumocast?

I have a custom Ringtone for my Calls, that plays fine, but the Notifications for my Voicemail and Texts is not playing or Plays once the first time, then defaults back to the barely audible notification sound on the N6.
I wiped cache partition and did a factory reset before setting up the phone after the final OTA of 6.0 the day I received the phone. I'm going to try to wipe Cache Partition once again, because I saw in another Notification thread to try it.

For example I like certain bands and it'll play music like them to start off with, but it won't play them continuously song after song after song.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the craziest damn bug you've ever heard... I have a ringtone that plays when a call comes in, answer the phone - the ringtone turns off, as expected. However, after I hang up, the ringtone will continue to play. I can adjust the volume, but since it's a ringtone, I don't know of an app to open to change it, other than opening my phone, calling voicemail, hang up, and still the ringtone persists (good thing I like the song — Brian Setzer and Jeff Beck's version of "Twenty Flight Rock".)
Powering off the phone is the only thing that can make it work and it seems to occur more often when the phone is charging (charged?) and plugged in (vs Qi charging).
I have N5 with latest Marshmallow updates (November 2015) rooted with ElementalX kernel installed. I have a very strange issue that while playing any local (not streaming) audio file, it plays with double or triple of its speed.
I used several apps to make sure it's not application based issue, the same occurs.
I defected from Apple, and traded for a used LG G3 with lollipoo... Below is a list of my problems. View 21 Replies View RelatedI reset my phone because after 5.1.1 update my phone battery was poor so i reset my phone copied songs from my PC to nexus 5 when i open Google play music it is unable to detect those transferred songs. when i went to ES Explorer i can able to see all the songs i copied. what should i do? one more reset? is there any way to say google play music about songs presence?
P.S i already deleted cache, cleared data of that app no use
I know you can do this with smart pairing of Bluetooth devices but I was hoping to be able to do the same for when I'm playing music through my car's auxiliary jack / over the phone's speakers. I've done a fair bit of googling but haven't found a solution. I use llama app on my phone to trigger events and have tried setting a trigger using the music app to trigger the screen lock to disable but it doesn't work. I'm wondering if it's feasible to somehow trigger screen lock to be disabled when a music app is active?

After a system update to Android 5.1, my local music files still exist on the device but DO NOT show up in any music player. I have tried to use Google Play Music (my default music player) as well as other music players from the Play Store. ALL indicate that I have zero song files on my device which I know is definitely NOT true. I used to be able to play them and view all albums in Google Play Music but now the music files are ONLY accessible via ES File Explorer.

I'm trying to backup my phone to flash a stock LP (to try to fix some problems with the battery) but I'm having this strange problem.When I connect my phone to the pc I can see most of the folders, but not all of them, and a lot of files doesn't seem to be there.On the phone, with Explorer, I can see everything so I don't understand what could be the issue.

The computers do not recognize the presence of the Nexus (no response and nothing in Device Manager). The Nexus shows it's charging, but that's it. I've tried different cables and computers. In addition, NFC and Beam also do not work but regular WiFi works fine for internet use. Bluetooth works but is too slow to be usable for data transfer.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a issue with my N5. I am trying since a week back to install an APK file to my new N5. Ive looked in forums and youtube and dont seem to be able to find a solution to my problem.
I tried to just download different APK installers to my N5 but as they look for the SD CARD and the N5 dont have any it comes up all empty. after a bit of research i found that ES file explorer could do the trick for me, and when i downloaded it i can now find the file with it, but i can not install it. Ive looked at guides that says with Es file explorer i should be able to just double click the APK file i want to install (it comes up as a .zip file) and it should install it for me, but in my case it only opens up the folder and inside i can only find .xml files, no .apk file that i can click on to install.
i found a program called "Wondershare MobileGo for Android" that should do the trick (in another forum thread) but as im at work and i dont have administrator access i cant install anything and would like to be able to solve this problem with just my phone.
I have successfully flashed both LiquidSmooth ROM (ROM crashed..) and now I went back to CM 12.1... the problem is, when i try to install apk files on my Nexus the installer app says "app not installed" .... I have tried reflashing with a full wipe including dalvik and system format... n

I rarely plug my phone to my laptop, however I wanted to transfer a large amount of pictures today and got stuck.
When I plug my phone in the PC, the phone is recognized as a "media device" but the folder is fully empty, and nothing can be done.
Looking at previous forum posts, I have tried to check if the MTP was enabled, however I could not find the option (when I go to settings, storage and USB, all I can see is information about apps, there is no menu i can access to reach the MTP.
