I have noticed recently when I add music to my nokia 5800 all the newly added tracks do not show up under there artists name but instead show up under 'unknown' in the list of artists. How do I organise my music so it shows up under the correct artists name.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI put language lessons on the player with files listed as Lesson 01, Lesson 02.....lesson 11, 12, 20 etc and rather than put them in proper order like anything else I have ever used to play them it is putting 1, 10, 11,12,13 etc together then putting 2,20,21,22 etc together.
How can I get it to sort the files normally?
I have a nokia astound and I have songs listed that I dont want but cant delete them for some reason I also cant edit the artists names and songs.

Every time it is able to download approximately 33-50% after which it gives an error message "Download Failed".

I have deleted the playlist but obviously my music is still there. I then tried to delete all my tracks by marking them all and then deleting but I got "general system error" message. Am trying to delete too many tracks at once, or is there a way of deleting them, or formatting my memory card to clear everything? I know I could take my card out and use a PC/card reader to clean but I didn't want to remove the card if possible.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI find that I call and message the same people more regularly than the rest of my phonebook. As such, I believe it would be much easier to have a "Favorites" or a "Recently Used" section at the start of my phonebook to quickly find my most commonly contacted friends.
The "Recently Used" section could be similar to how Microsoft Word works where it saves your last 10 used fonts at the top of the menu when you click to change the font of your text. How do I go about suggesting this to Nokia to update their software?

I've been trying to install the new maps application from since its release with no success. It showed up on my software update list but every time I try and install it - the update fails. I've read through most of the other posts where other users have had similar problems and tried to incorporate all the suggestions to circumvent my own problems such as,
1. Performing a hard reset and uninstalling Nokia maps via the application manager on the device
2. Deleting all the map data and voice files before trying the update
3. I've reinstalled firmware version 21.0.045 via Nokia software updater
So I've tried most things to get the new maps version, I live in Dorset and have no Nokia store near me.
My E63 didn't come with a connection to the computer so I am just using the SD card and plugging that into the computer instead. I'm wanting to use it to put music onto my phone. I move the music off the computer and into the music folder on the SD card but I can't get the music player to find the tracks once I put the SD card back into the phone.
The files are there, I can find them through file manager, but I want to use them in the music player so I don't have to select each individual song when I want to listen to it.
Recently updated my Nokia N97 to newest version but now for some reason I got a quite annoying problem.After the update to v21 I updated my music libray as after the update I "had" no songs for some reason 30 mins later it had fond 2500 tracks I then did a new playlist with Ovi music player and transfered it to my phone. The playlist contained 16 songs but only 8 is showing on my phone and my phone says 16 songs aswell but only shows 8!?! Ive checked the storage management and the tracks has been succesfully been transfered. To sum it up: Some tracks aint showing for some odd reason never had this problem before the update.

I have tried deleting files in the Private folder, the playlists and tracks dissappear but then when I refresh it just finds the same 232 that were there before and not new one I've added. I had to do a hard reset when the phone wouldn't switch on and that fixed the problem, however once I connect the phone to my computer in Mass Storage mode and the problem occured again. I have done a soft and hard reset and the problem persists.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI have just started to have this problem after using sync for about a year (so I know what I am doing).However, when syncing music from windows media player to my 6303i it shuffles the tracks, they all come down but not in the right order.I know that you can shuffle music to the phone using the 'shuffle music to my phone' button on the sync tab, but I have not done this!I drag and drop loads of albums to the sync pane on the right and click 'start sync', they all transfer over without errors.When I open the album on my phone the tracks are not in the correct order.Is this a phone problem or WMP?I have checked all the options in WMP and there is not shuffle sync option that I can see.

I have called apple and have resynced, restored, re-everything that had to do with itunes and my phone and there has been no help. I am not happy with the V 40 update for my device. The problems faced are,
1. Sometimes cannot accept calls - Error shown is request rejected
2. Music library get corrupted.
3. Camera doesnot flash on its own in low light.
4. Hangs quite a times.
5. Use OVI maps only to restart your phone.
6. Sensor controls are bad.
7. Installing a few applications gets it slow.
8. Clock doesnot display its time on the home screen.
I am seriously annoyed by this.First I did the update myself.I then visited a Nokia Care centre and the version was reinstalled. I still have the same problems. I have done it myself through the software updater and OVI suite. Thats means a total of 4 updates and still the errors are present.
I have couple of folders of mixed type of music on my PC and want to transfer them to my iphone and keep content of each folder together.. On PC, I changed the Album name for each file in each folder to Album 1, 2,3, .... (through propterty of the file). But when I transfer them to my Iphone, there are not under one album. there are distributed under Album & Artist, like:
Album 1 artist 1
Album 1 artist 2
Album 1 artist 3
.
.
.
Album 2 artist 1
[code]....
I couln't find any way to can see all for example Album 1 files under Album 1. I know that I can make playlist, but I have several albums and many files, so it will be a long and boring job to select songs one by one and put in a playlist. Is there any easier way to have better control of Iphone filing system? Or is there other application that can do this job easier?

I know the songs are there because I can see the memory they are using, but they are not available. I tried turning off, deleting and starting from zero, selecting one song, selecting a reproduction list, always the same. My music is stored in a Time-Capsule, but this should not be the problem because I can reproduce it from iTunes...
