I have found that mkv video files I have which are larger than 2GB will not play on my new 808. They play absolutely fine on the N8. I have tried with both Fat32 and exFat file systems on my 64GB microSD. Anything smaller than 2GB is fine.
View 5 RepliesI am unable to play Windows Media DRM files with Nokia Belle. This feature did work perfectly and without any issue on Symbian Anna SP1 that I was using. This time around I get no picture, just frames and garbled screen. The DRM license is valid, I did re-copy the files to Nokia N8 again since the DRM license was not preserved when I did backup my Nokia N8 before the update to Nokia Belle. There are no issues playing non-DRM files.I already regret upgrading to Nokia Belle due to the technical and user interface issue it already has (why are there two clocks on the main screen ?).I wish that I could downgrade securely back to Symbian Anna.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI cannot get the media transfer to work with my 808 pureview, it worked fine with my E7 running Anna, but it just get stuck "searching for device" when I plug the 808 in. If I set the 808 to media transfer I get the message "your 808 is not in a mode used for media transfer" then when I swtich it back to Nokia Suite, media transfer gets stuck looking for a device?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEven though I've seen information about how to get Mail working with AOL, I'm still being challenged to find the correct info to insert into the fields as enumerated by Exchange Activesync on the 808.what to enter for all the fields as named in Exchnage Activesync, such as "server" and "domain name" and port number. This gets really confusing: Is the domain name an incomingt server or outgoing server, or something else entirely? Is the "Server" field for incoming or outgoing server? Is the "Port number" in advanced settings for the incoming or outgoing port?
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe n8 has a minimum shutter speed of 1/15s in the default camera (from what I have read). With CameraPro, you can get it down to 1/5s (although I am sure I saw 1/2.5s). I would love a bulb stop, but a multi second option would also be great. Night shots could be enhanced - for example car headlight trails, star pics (ie. astrophotography).
Anyone know the 808 minimum shutter speed?

View 9 Replies View RelatedSince updating to Belle FP2 yesterday on my 808 Pureview, Maps and all map related apps won't open, they simply close straight away. Tried resetting the settingso n the phone and updating the maps on the Nokia Store. Now I'm stuck. Nokia drive was my second reason for buying the phone after the camera, so I'm a bit distraught lol. I've been making fun of my iOS6 friends the last couple of weeks about their maps and now I feel a bit foolish.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt's a couple of days that my newest 808 PureView fails to set up email accounts via the "Nokia Mail" option.
I choose the "other" email option to set up my university email, and after putting all the account information and settings, I get this error message:
"Cannot enable the mail service that allows you to fully experience your favorite providers because connection to the mail server is not possible with the settings provided.
Select 'Next' to set up mailbox without this service. You can attempt to connect to the server by adjusting the mailbox settings later."
I have noticed several other posts about this here and in other forums, but I didn't find any solutions. (I saw a post about setting the date/time correctly, which is correct in my case, and to not use Wi-Fi, which I tried as well, but the problem is still there).
I was able to easily setup my emails on my previous 808 phones and my N8 and other Symbian phones.
i am unable to get contact search to work even after enabling it on the call screen. adaptive search under settings has also been turned on.

I open details of Phone Memory and it says that Images take 5787 kb. I open image folder in it and theres nothing.
So what should i do ?
It's sad that the Nokia 5800 in spite of having a huge screen and an awesome resolution doesn't play movies in .avi format. Although you can convert the videos to another supported format, this is really not the solution. This is because of two reasons:
1. AVI files are the most common to find.
2. They are small/compact in size when compared to mpeg4.
I tried installing divx but clearly Nokia 5800 is not one of the supported models for this software. The divx player opens on the phone but you really cant see any controls, so it is basically as good as being non-functional. I have read about some ways to make the divx player work on 5800, but none of them sound convincing.
Is there any player out in the market that can help you play .avi files on Nokia 5800? Or are there any codecs for the phone like the K-lite codec for PCs to make avi files playable?There has to be some way!
Is N900 capable of playing MKV files? I have a mkv files of 720p~ Even after I install the Extra codecs support plugin it cannot play.

"playing partial video .....
and only shows a black screen with sound.Not ony it happens with stored videos that it came with, even the new videos taken from its own camera behaves same way. No video only sound.
Does my 5233 supports mp4 320p & 720p if it can't how can I play. Is there any apps how can i download it?

About the last week, my music player is working slow. Sometimes, the art cover and line (that show the song time) don't appear, play, back and next are there. Are .sis files deleted automatically after installation from ovi store or they are hidden from the user?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI want to transfer photos/videos from my N8 (defaulted to save in the Mass Memory) to my pc. I set the transfer default on my N8 to Mass Memory for USB transfer and connect to the pc. On my pc the phone shows up as Removable Disk (G). Clicking on it it shows all the folders but there is absolutely nothing in any of them although they exist in the mass memory folders on the phone.
