View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to play M4A files in my Music player, tough I can play them using the file manager.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to FW 22.007 the musicplayer will not play m4a files stored with a Bit speed of 258 Kbps and 44,1 khz sampling rate, the previous FW had no problem. also a 5800Expresmusic has no problem playing the file.
Can anybody come up with a possible solution or have heard rumours of another FW update which will bring this back to normal (other than having to convert all my music to lower bitrate ?)
I am not able to play my .mp4 file in my 5800 M Xpress mobile, It playing audio only from that file. I called Nokia care they told that need to get the file through PC Suit, I did that even after I am not able to play(its playing only audio only but not displying vedio) that .mp4 file in my mobile.
Vedio Details:
Format: video/X-HX-AVC1
Resolution: 608 X 256
Bitrate: 48 Kbit/s
Size: 700 MB
Any one please help me..to play this file in my mobile.
I just purchased the really magnificent phone 6720. I have a problem playing songs I have bought in iTunes with the non-DRM'ed format .m4a.
The player seems to recognize the tracks as playable and imports them to the library alright. But when playing a particular song the player skips to the next after a brief attempt. It looks like a bug.If I side-load my SD-card with the exact same tracks into other S60 devices there are no problems at all. So:
6720c doesn't work!!!
N85 works
5800 works
5320 works

I tried converting several lossless FLAC files (192/24) to a lossless WMA (96/24) to listen to on Lumia 920. The conversion went fine and I checked the resulting files by playing them on the computer. They played fine as expected (no difference from the original). However transferred on a 920 those started to exhibit quantization noise and somewhat degraded sound. I don't have extraordinary expectations for the audio hardware in a phone but at times it was very noticeable - the part where a song fades into silence at its end and has prominent quantization noise (intermittent quick patches of noise/faint sound and silence) is a prime example. If the files were played back at 24 bit resolution that wouldn't have happened for sure. Also, perhaps, that wouldn't be noticeable much if there were proper ditering algorithms in place. None of this appears to be happening inside the Lumia's music player or hardware.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a few apps from the ovi store, after downloading it installed by itself on the phone memory.I want to free up some space by deleting the .sis setup file but can't find them in installation files folder.
Are .sis files deleted automatically after installation from ovi store or they are hidden from the user?
I want to transfer photos/videos from my N8 (defaulted to save in the Mass Memory) to my pc. I set the transfer default on my N8 to Mass Memory for USB transfer and connect to the pc. On my pc the phone shows up as Removable Disk (G). Clicking on it it shows all the folders but there is absolutely nothing in any of them although they exist in the mass memory folders on the phone.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI currently have an N86 which is pretty good as far as i'm concerned. The only things i can fault it on are a rather flaky operating system which tends to crash a bit too often and a very fragile screen cover, but for the most part i can live with these issues.I'm currently due for an upgrade on my contract and would like something that does much the same as the N86 does, but the sticking point is the FM Transmitter function (referred to as "Play by Radio" on some handsets) which i use a lot. Neither Nokia nor any third party seems to produce a list of current handsets which has this functionality built in, perhaps because its use is restricted in some territories and thus varies.
