My N8 (anna) was running just fine doing transfers through Linux. Now in Windows 7 64 and any file that I transfer, in any mode (USB, Ovi) gets corrupted. This happens to either internal 16gb or the memory card.
View 1 RepliesI want to transfer photos/videos from my N8 (defaulted to save in the Mass Memory) to my pc. I set the transfer default on my N8 to Mass Memory for USB transfer and connect to the pc. On my pc the phone shows up as Removable Disk (G). Clicking on it it shows all the folders but there is absolutely nothing in any of them although they exist in the mass memory folders on the phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter using the phone for a certain amount of time, all my photo files start corrupting. i.e. They won't open, and their icon in a torn picture. My game icons also disappear. This problem gets fixed if I restart my phone. But it shouldn't be happening anyway right? I reinstalled my phone software and formatted my memory card but it doesn't help. This problem is becoming more and more frequent.

View 2 Replies View Relatedim finally have N8, and when i tried to export my contacts file witch is .vcf out of my old nokia 7610 to transfer it to my new N8, the PC Suite wouldn't work with N8, so i downloaded Ovi Suite and its worked fine with N8, but the big problem that when i tried to transfer the contacts files using Ove Suite i found that its must be ends with .nbu extension to be restored and while n8 doesnt work with pc suite, what can do to restore my contacts, help me cuz i feel dead without my contacts file |- i forgot to tell you that i can't copy it on my SIM card then copy it again to my N8 and repeat it till done, i have little problem with the option button with my old phone Nokia 7610

View 12 Replies View RelatedI was trying to back up my memory card (5800XM) via Windows XP - copying/pasting - and several corrupt files were thrown up.e.g "22%.dat" in the Private....CacheE folder, a file for Opera Mini DS folder Even when I deleted 22%.dat from the phone, it was miraculously resurrected as soon as I tried to copy over again. I have backed up my 5800 data to my memory card E:Backup and there are below files in Backup
Bookmark.arc
Calendar.arc
Contacts.arc
Messages.arc
Settings.arc
UserFiles.arc
but how to restore the backup to my mobile?or atleast how do i view the content of the important file like contacts.arc? ( unless with nokisoft) convert the Contact.arc to Contact.txt or cvs or xls?
My new Nokia 700 cannot play all video that played perfecly on N8. Why? I hoped new more poverfull hardware can handle more codecs. Very disappointed. Any chance to upgrade from nokia firmaware?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to play Windows Media DRM files with Nokia Belle. This feature did work perfectly and without any issue on Symbian Anna SP1 that I was using. This time around I get no picture, just frames and garbled screen. The DRM license is valid, I did re-copy the files to Nokia N8 again since the DRM license was not preserved when I did backup my Nokia N8 before the update to Nokia Belle. There are no issues playing non-DRM files.I already regret upgrading to Nokia Belle due to the technical and user interface issue it already has (why are there two clocks on the main screen ?).I wish that I could downgrade securely back to Symbian Anna.

If I set the 808 to media transfer I get the message "your 808 is not in a mode used for media transfer" then when I swtich it back to Nokia Suite, media transfer gets stuck looking for a device?
