View 11 RepliesIs this possible on the N900? I was trying to do it yesterday and couldn't see how to do it either from within the file manager or the media player, not a huge problem but if there's an easy work around/solution it would be good to know.

View 4 Replies View Relatedcool new application that allows you to get access to all your files/folders on your n900 from any pc with IE or another browser so long as you are on wifi.
there are two parts to install:
tiny smb & tiny smb gui.install the server first then the gui.
if you have rootfs installed:
open xterm
sudo gainroot
apt-get install tinysmb
apt-get install tinysmbgui
to get it to work and find out what your ip address is on the n900,
open xterm
/sbin/ifconfig wlan0 | grep inet
then go to your computer, open a browser that is connected to the same network, and type in the ip address of the n900 and you will see all your files/folders pop up like explorer.
Is N900 capable of playing MKV files? I have a mkv files of 720p~ Even after I install the Extra codecs support plugin it cannot play.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI seem to have problems copy and paste the music to my N900. I don't have such problem before with my old Nseries phones - like N80, N95, N96, and N97. First, when I copy the entire album, one or a few songs will fall under the "Unknown Album" category while the rest of the tracks (from the same album) are displayed correctly. Second, is the album art. Some albums I have the album art displayed correct at the album listing view. Some don't get displayed but in track view, the ablum art is there. Strange? It is kind of hard to get this to work. I can sort of live with no track repeat, hard to operate playlists, but having my tracks falling into different places are not acceptable. View 4 Replies View RelatedAny idea on how to set the bluetooth to auto connect to a hands free car kit?My car (2009 Focus ST) comes with a Nokia hands free system built into the radio unit. Everything worked fine with my N95.I have done the pairing between the two but have to manually connect to the car kit everytime the radio is turned off and on again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy bluetooth was working fine in the beginning, but now I'm unable to start the bluetooth and/or pair it to any devices.I setup from the bluetooth menu the bluetooth on, visible and name it but, when I click "save" button nothing happens. When I re-enter the menu all the settings are gone, and the bluetooth has never started.
I just downloaded today/yesterday the latest maemo update and was hoping this would fix the problem but the problem still exists.
I am using different Bluetooth headsets.Everyone of those disconnects after the first or the second call. I'm using the stereo BH-103 and also the BH-602, plus the BlueAnt Z9i.I make a call, sometimes two and after 5 to 10 minutes I noticed there is no sound, the headset has dropped or just totaly closed. Is there anything I can do. Of course I have a N900, which perfectly besides this much anoying issue.
View 8 Replies View Relatedcan anybody advise me if it is possible (or if there is an app) to activate Bluetooth in offline mode on the N900? This was a feature available on my old E90 and N96 models and was very useful when all you wanted to do was enjoy wireless music through (Nokia's excellent) BH-905 headphones.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am very disappointed. My lovely new n900 (updated to latest firmware after getting it out of box and no apps installed yet) does not recognise my BH-202 headset. This is DESPITE the nokia site saying it is compatible.Does anyone know how to make it work or if it or any other nokia headset does (although I don't see why I should need to buy a new one). I am pretty sure it violates some consumer law to say something is compatible and will work, and then for it not to work..... I desperately need bluetooth as I take calls while driving for business LOTS.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find out how you enable auto answer on a bluetooth headset for a Nokia N900...I can pair the headset without a problem and make a call using it, however, if someone calls me the phone rings and I can hear it in the headset but does not 'connect the call' automatically.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi seem to be having a bluetooth challenge in not getting all the drivers.on my desktop (win 7/64bit) i am connected and can transfer files just fine. it took a while but finally all the drivers kicked in after a number of attempts.however, on my booklet 3g, win7/32bit, i cannot send files from my n900 to my booklet, only FROM my booklet.
seems no matter what i do i cannot get my booklet to load the additional drivers.in lookin on my phone in the bluetooth settings between what is different:on my desktop connection under supported profies: a2dp, ftp, hsp, opp and on my booklet connection under supprted profies: *blank*
so i think the issue is obvious there. but i dont understand why the phone is not sending the bluetooth drivers or the booklet is not being able to find the drivers to make my transfers work correctly.i have tried going to broadcom and downloading the latest driver package (did this for my desktop) but when i launch it, it doesnt even find my bluetooth adapter in my booklet, says to turn it on, but no matter what i do, (it is on) it will not recognize it to move on...
i have a N900 and i cant share muy docs and pics with the bluetooth.. but i can recive the data from another phone.... what can i do ?? it a problem with the software ? why i cant send the data but i can recive ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to setup the N900 so it sees a stowaway bluetooth keyboard? I'm not knowledgable with Linux code so you would have to provide all detail if I had to make script adjustments. I'm sure this has been done but maemo.org usually talks at programmers level on tasks such as this one.
