Why the music and ringtones are together, when I use the media player the ringtones play? Should I make another folder to separate them? If I do this I am concerned the ringtones won't be found and won't play.

I've been having issues with my bb, while bbming and listening to music via the media player, minutes and even sometimes seconds after putting a song on my BB freezes up and reboots itself. I searched the forums for the exact same issue and didn't come across a thread. If anyone has any ideas or possibly a link to the solution feel free to toss err in.
View 9 Replies View Relatedhere is my another bad experience with the Xperia X10...This time I wanted to play some media , a WMV file, from FOXDIGITALCOPY, and it seems Xperia doesnt support it - atleast that's what the FOXDIGITALCOPY software tells me when I tried to sync up the media from my PC.Also, this file doesnt even show up on the mediascape screen though I copied into the videos folder where other videos are saved.I tried to play a more smaller and simpler file - the wildlife HD video sample from Windows - which is again a WMV file.This time, Xperia tries to play it, but the video only comes up as stills while the audio plays as normal.

So I came online & have seen many fixes, and I have tried pretty much all of them, they include: Repairing, re-installing software, trying a new media player including Winamp, clearing data in media storage, deleting the .nomedia files, and taking my wanted media (pic's & music etc) of the memory card & reformatting and pretty much anything else I've heard & the media player (and all other media players) still are useless.

I got my first BlackBerry a couple of months ago, the Tour 9630 with Verizon, which I've loved to far, except. Last week I created a couple of ring tones from two mp3 files and downloaded them in my BlackBerry without setting up with any feature, but they set themselves up as regular ring tones and I cannot stop them from playing now!
Since the day after I downloaded them, every time I've received a new e-mail, I've gotten my regular ring tone (GungHo) and then custom ring tone #1 starts playing and is unstoppable unless I completely turn off the BlackBerry! So I deleted it from the My Ring Tones folder, but that hasn't changed a thing. I've tried to change my regular e-mail ring tone and the change got implemented, so I get the new ring tone I've just set, but I still get custom ring tone # 1 right after! And it is almost 1 minute long!
Other weird thing, custom ring tone # 2 has started playing every time I hang up my phone! Who needs that?! I haven't deleted that one yet from the My Ring Tones folder because I'm not sure if that'll help, but this is extremely frustrating.
Ive tried a few different things I have read by putting my ringtones in a ringtone folder or adding .nomedia to the folder they are in but my ringtones always show up in the stock music player. I have my ringtones in mp3 format should they be in a different format

I have not found in a search where this is covered, so here goes While plugged into my USB port my Tour defaults to the Ringer_ClassicPhone Ringtone. It sounds horrible. But while plugged into the USB, it can not access my ringtones on the mediacard, where all of my defaults for SMS, Phone, and Email are located. So, the question, is there a way to import external, i.e. .wav's or .mp3's on a media card, to the Tours onboard memory so that the device can access them even plugged in. Yea - I know - how long can a phone be plugged in and is this really an issue. Yes - it is - to me. On a busy day at work, I will often plug my phone into the USB at my PC to charge it some, especially if it is getting into the 50% range, and it is not noon yet.

I copied a folder called media to my S6 when I first updated to 5.1.1 and I could select my ringtone and message alert tone from this folder, but yesterday it went back to default and now i can't select anything in the media folder, coincidentally my video folder i used to be able to see is now not showing in the video player but is there if i browse my files?? View 1 Replies View RelatedMy music player only works some of the time and other times it gives me an error message. Also when I set ringtones from any music on my phone(ones I bluetoothed, ones downloaded from apps on the market, and also ones I copy and pasted from my computer) they will only work sometimes. Other times they seem to reset themselves and go back to a default ringtones or say unknown ringtone and will not work at all. The only ringtones that work all the time are the ringtones that came on the phone. My friend is having the same problem and the tech at US Cellular said he has had couple people come in with the same problem but they can't seem to find a solution. Also when the ringtones/music player is not working the videos in the "Help Center" on my phone will not work either. There seems to be some kind of glitch. I just want to be sure that there isn't some kind of setting wrong or something before I take this phone back and get something else because I would love to keep this phone, but it's not looking very promising.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust got a new 6P from Google. I have it unlocked and TWRP installed, but no rooted just yet. Loading everything up on the phone, and I've come across an odd issue. I loaded my 1500 or so songs from my Samsung S5 to the 6P, and Google player only sees some of the songs. All the ones I bought from Amazon and some other random ones I'd ripped from our CD collection. Rocket Player sees them all, but won't play any but the ones Google Player plays. Tried some other music apps, but similar results.
I deleted all the songs, put them back in different folders, wiped the cache on Google Play and Rocket, booted the phone. I used ES File Explorer to go to individual albums and try to play the songs direct from there, but still does not work. I get "Couldn't play the track you selected".
Google search said to nuke all the music and go into Apps>Media and clear the storage, but that is not an option under Apps on this phone. Doesn't really seem like that kind of issue anyway, since it will play some of the songs.
