Xperia Z3 :: High Pitched Buzz Lasts About 2-3 Seconds And Then Goes Off By Itself
Apr 16, 2015
Since I updated the phone on Monday with the latest Sony release 5.0.2 Build Number 23.1.A.1.28 the phone suddenly omits a loud buzzing sound like an out of tune radio station. It lasts about 2-3 seconds and then goes off by itself. What is this all about and why are these updates causing SO MUCH damage to the phone?
A little over a month ago I purchased my first BB, a Curve 8530 from Boost and I signed up for their service. Right from the box, that phone had a very high frequency noise that I could hear when I held it to my ear and I thought it was coming from the speaker, but after some experimentation I found that it was coming from the screen whenever it was lit. So, I contacted Boost and they sent me a replacement, but the one that I have now does the same thing, and maybe even a little louder. I have owned/used a fair number of different cell phones in my life, and this is the first phone that I've ever had this problem with. Is this a common issue with this particular model of phone, or are all Blackberrys this way? If it is a known issue with the 8530, I am going to talk to Boost about upgrading me to the 9310 (that they introduced right after I ordered the 8530!), but if it is a Blackberry issue then I am going to sell the one that I have and get the Evo or the Galaxy that Boost offers.
I have just installed a CK-100 into a vehicle. Connected to an iphone 4 via Bluetooth. Music audio is outputted through the RCA sockets into the AUX in of my stereo. Every 10 minutes or so of playing music there is high pitched noise which comes over the top of the audio. Lasts about 20 seconds and then the audio is OK again. Has anyone had this problem? Both latest firmware's.
Has anyone else observed a high-pitched whine (fairly quiet) coming from the phone at low screen brightness levels? I would just like to know if this is a characteristic of all Atrix 2 phones or just a few (like mine).
i was wondering if anyone else had the problem with a high pitched noise in the background of a video recording during the playback of the video? I couldnt really find any good explanation over the web. i can only hear it after ive recorded the video and ive tested it in a quiet room with no interference but its still there in the background.
I've found in the Market many apps named like "Anti-mosquito", which claim to be able to keep mosquitos away: indeed, they achieve this by playing high-pitched sounds which are annoying to mosquitos and - yes! - they work.
Of course, this can be done by just playing repeatedly high pitched sounds, which, depending on the kind of mosquito you want to get rid off, may be in the range from 14 to 25 KHz.
Since I don't know whether playing so highly pitched sounds for a long time could damage the phone, I've asked the Italian support. They looked confused, indeed.
At first, they asked which app was I asking about and said that, anyway, all apps from the Market "are developed and managed directly by Google" (sic).
Then, when I pointed out that, put aside the fact that apps in the Market are not being developed by Google, I wasn't talking about apps and software but of particular sounds and hardware, they escalated the question to their technical department.
I was asked again which app I wanted information about (!!) and then, after telling again that I meant nothing more than playing a 14-25 KHz-pitched mp3 for a long time, they answered that no, that may not harm the phone but they couldn't be 100% sure.
I've asked them about the audio playback hardware, about who produced it and whether those latter could answer. The final answer, that they suppose is enough to close my ticket, is that "nobody could say for sure that playing high-pitched tones for a long time wouldn't damage the phone".
This is a nonsense to me, since hardware must have technical specs. Does Motorola International have got a better answer?
Sometimes when the camera starts focusing to make a picture, it makes a really high pitched sound. It continues when the camera has focused until the picture is made. The sound certainly doesn't come from the speakers and isn't triggered by the phone itself but purely by the camera on the back, so it has to be something hardware related.
It isn't that big of a problem, the camera certainly isn't malfunctioning, but I was with a friend today who asked me what that sound was and I'm wondering as well, since it isn't supposed to produce sounds like that.
I record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.
Basically my phone was fine when I got it a week and a half ago and then it started, when I touch the keys at the bottom or type the vibration is on low but there's a loud buzz when I touch the keys. I've tried turning the vibration intensity up and down and the buzz is still there. I've seen other posts on google about this but nothing to say what happened after they complained. My partner has the same phone and his only makes the buzz sound every two or three types. When the phone rings it's the same. I tested it against a note 3 and there was no noise when the keys were pressed with the vibration on.
I got a brand new Xperia z3 and I was really really happy about my purchase, at least for the first 5 minutes, when I realised that the top speaker makes this buzzing sound during calls or listening to music. It is really annoying, tried everything with the settings but nothing changes.
the sound my x10's media is so low-pitched.. however, the sound of ringtones is very good... knowing that, I did augment the sound of the media to its maximum.
I bought a D6633 on Tuesday and the phone updated itself as soon as I took it out of the box, so I have been on Android L almost all the time, the thing is, my phone lasts longer on normal mode than it does on stamina mode. I literally see 2 days on standby and almost 5 on normal mode.
Have had my experia x10 for almost a year now, and battery tended to last for 2 days (using for calls/ texts/ internet) In the last few days though- I have fully charged my phone overnight, not used it at all during the day, and it has a completely dead battery 6 hours later. I've not got any applications running except for Cardio Trainer, but have always had this running.
So lately I have not been getting hangout notifications and it's driving me nuts. I have it paired to my android wear watch and 80% of the time it works fine but other times I get text messages and nothing, no buzz, not even a notification in my task manager letting me know I have a unread message, totally blank. It's not until I go into hangouts and I see the bold text that I know I got a message. Even when not paired to the watch, same thing, no buzz, sound, notification icon, nothing until I open hangouts and see it.
Fully stock and on 6.0.1 as of a few days ago and still the problem.
Just got my S6E about 1 hour ago and still setting it up. I have vibration turned off under sounds and notifications, however I'm still getting a buzz every time I pick the phone up.
I've had my Z3+ for a week now and Clean Master App has now three times warned me of "little RAM left". I had the Z3 for a little over 4 months and never got this message. The phone works OK, it does not slow down or anything. I may have had 5-6 apps open (Phone, Messages, Chrome, Mail, Facebook, Messenger) - nothing unusual, when i got the messages. Clean Master then proceeds to clean a couple of hundred MB (not much).
I have had a Xperia Neo for 2 weeks now, and the available internal memory already dropped from 260 to 209. Just today I still had 221, then I updated 4 apps (I only have like 5 extra apps, it updated speech recognition, touchnote,..) and it dropped to 209. At this rate I will have no internal memory by the end of the year.. I move everything to SD with APPS2SD when possible. Any tips on keeping the internal memory high?
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.
The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up.
I've tried monitoring CPU frequency with auto rotate on and off and noticed that with auto-rotate on if that phone is being moved about then the CPU cores all ramp up quite a bit.
To re-create: use on-screen cpu frequency monitor*shake* the phone in front of you whilst watching CPU frequencywith phone locked portrait I have 4 small + 1 big at 384 Mhz.with auto rotate I get 4 small cores at 1500 and 2 big core at 1.5-1.8The only record I can find of this kind of bug online is some entries in Google's bug databases for the Nexus S back in 2013-2014.
What does this mean? well, assuming you don't have rock-steady hands, or perhaps you want to use your phone in a dash-clamp in the car, this random CPU spiking with drain the battery and heat up the phone for no reason!
I've been able to get a notable increase in battery and reduced heat output of my phone by leaving rotate off unless I really need it, but this is clearly an issue that needs to resolved.
After upgrading my xperia z2 to latest firmware I noticed that the mobile temperature is very high (Getting a lot of alerts via Clean Master and 3rd party apps). Also I noticed that the screen has a print I think its due to high temperature ! I don't know what I have to do!
I was sitting at my desk and all the sudden I hear a high pitched whistle or whine coming from my phone. I picked it up and it is locked. I can't turn it on, I can't turn it off and it just keeps making that noise. A minute later, the noise stops and the phone reboots.
I have Sk17i phone and recently the screen of it got damaged. But now as per service center, It will cost me 11k rupees for the repair. The phone cost is 13.5k? How can the maintenance cost be too high?
I am a Sony Xperia Z5 user. I have problem while i am talking in phone the incmoming voice are too high. There is any shortcut available that could reduce the volume?. I know one option that volume botton can reduce while talking.
I bought Sony Xperia Z3 Dual 4 days ago and update it . I have one big problem in camera because when i want to record video , after some minutes i receive this message :
"Camera is temporarily unavailable due to high temperature. Please wait for your device to cool down before you can use the camera"
even for rear camera images are noisy in bad quality ||||
I received a new Blacberry bold 9790 but the battery lasts only about 2 hours. Also the phone gets very hot after about 20 minutes. I returned the phone stating the problem. I received a new phone only to experience the same problem. I again returned the phone and are now awaiting feedback.
So I have had my blackberry for a bit over a year now. And it was all working fine until a couple of days ago.Now the battery only seems to last for about 2.5hours, from being 100% to shutting off because of low battery. I havent got applications running in the background, and have read and followed all of the maximise battery life posts.I used to be able to leave it for a day or more with it being fine.
What can I do to solve this, as it is really inconveniencing my life at the moment, because it just isnt staying on long enough for me to do anything.and its a blackberry curve 8250 and the battery says 'capacity 1150mAh' and C-S2.
I have two fairly new 9320 phones. Both phones do not hold their charge for more than 24 hours. Is there a setting on the phone which I can check to potentially fix this problem? This is a new phenomenon. The phones were OK ( for holding their charge) when I purchased them. If it is relevant I recently spoke to my service provider about the poor signal in my area and followed their instructions to make certain adjustments on the phones to (marginally) improve the reception. Is it possible that this operation/adjustment could have changed the battery life characteristics?
