Anytime I add a contact detail via the handset if I let it sync, either via Google or SE, the contact will be wiped which is pretty useless (basically I cannot add new contacts on the handset, proposterous!). they recommended I use the software update program to update the handset software. I have done this but the update software tells me the handset is running the latest software, the problem persists.

It also on a number of occassions adds several contacts from my email account and I have no idea why? and to top things of, yesterday it duplicated most of my contact list. Is it something im doing by accident?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Contacts are not syncing to iPhone after making lots (200 - 300) edits in Address Book on my MBP. The edits do not appear on the iPhone. It's asthough the data is not even recognised. I've r=tried resetting sync history in iSync prefs, as well clicking on 'replacing data for next sync only' option in iTunes. No success.

I successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with firmware v5.0.0.545. The DM syncs over USB.
I have just clicked calendar sync - hoping to sync all my calendar events with google calendar.However it has deleted all my events both past and future.

I downloaded Desktop Manager version 6 per a prompt from version 5 to update my software. Now everytime I sync my BB, it erases my wallpaper and sets it to the default. Totally irritating!My phone is a 9000 Blackberry Bold, my service provider is AT&T.

So I have to fish them out of the deleted items in Outlook and put them back. Memory seems to be fine on the BB and settings are "forever" and "two way sync."

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I've had this phone for about 5,6 months with different problems over the course of my time with the phone.Was wondering if anyone has had the same problems and if there are any solutions. So first, sometimes my phone will randomly delete contacts from my phone and place them in the "hidden" folder. I haven't hidden them, but I've gotten text from people and be unsure who it is,but then find out it is someone that I know and who has been in my phone.Also, since my contacts are synced with facebook,it will randomly delete the FB picture to my contact so instead of it showing their default picture on facebook in my contacts, it just shows the blank face. In the past it has deleted the picture and will eventually come back after a coule of days or weeks but currently it has deleted multiple of my contacts pictures and has yet to come back. I dont know if I am accidentally hitting something or if there is a way to prevent this but it is aggravating. Also, sometimes if I go to send a text message, say for instance to Sally Sue,I'll click Sally Sue, send the text but then in my messaging folder it does not show the name "Sally Sue" nor does it show their picture, but just the phone number alone as if I texted someone who was not inputed in my contact list.It eventually goes back to showing the name but it still annoying nonetheless.The last issue is with the gps sattelite that will not shut off and for whatever reason prevents me to use facebook on my phone.I've read that this has been an issue with others in the past and tried some of the suggestions people offered.I have uninstalled FB, reinstalled in, callibrated my phone, taken out the battery, turn on/off, etc and nothing works.Under settings in the securty tab, it is always checked next to GPS Satellites on. I will uncheck it, but it never stays that way, it will always go back to being checked and I can never use my FB app as it will open for like 2 seconds then cut out.

I've worked out how to manually sync contacts profile pics from FB onto my contacts list, but it won't let me do it on my own contact details. (Basically, in text messaging, pics of my contacts are there, but I can't link mine to do the same).

I've just gotten a Bold 9700 and noticed that even though I have the option to sync the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts profiles on the phone, the pictures for my phone contacts remain blank. The Facebook profiles are linked to my contacts and sometimes will show the Facebook profile picture but after a while the picture reverts to a blank icon again. I've also unselected the option to sync and re-enabled the option to update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try and force the pictures to update but no success.
I was thinking that it might also be because of a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact pictures seeing as I originally imported all my contatcs from my Gmail account but I am unable to figure out which other apps, if any, are updating contact pics and thereby turn them off.
Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pics correctly though and other than that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are linked to my Blackberry contacts.Any ideas on how I can get my contacts' pictures to sync correctly with Facebook?
After updating to Lollipop (months ago I think..), whenever she gets text message phone shows notification , but STOCK sms app doesnt show message AT ALL.
With Google Hangouts she can open the message ONCE, when she clicks back and opens contact/message list again its GONE.
I have tried clear messaging cache but no lock. Yesterday installed newest 5.1.1 with no dice. I have same phone (Z3 D6603) with NO problems myself.
This is no way acceptable!
I just got a replacement iphone and restored it from a backup, however, upon trying to sync it again, the 'sync apps' checkbox is not checked. I can see my apps that are greyed out but as soon as I check the box to sync the apps, they all disappear! I haven't synced it since for fear of having to start over every time.

I've created Contact Groups that are placed under Phone Contacts (Not Gmail Contacts!).Now I try to delete them and they do disappear from my apps like Contacts GroupU.But if you check the View Contacts - Display Contacts - Phone Contacts from the Phonebook (top left icon in Contactlist) all groups are still there.Some that were created twice are even listed double.I would like to know how I can remove those groups from the list.If I keep a group from the Gmail lst pressed, then I get a popup offering me to delete the sync group.I hope you understand my problem. If not I will take a picture and upload it.

I cannot make my contacts sync with facebook.
I have added my facebook accounts and made sure the filters are correctly set, I have synced the facebook account several times manually, but no profile pictures nor any facebook related data is shown in the contacts.
After the update to 2.1 last year, i have not been able to sync my contacts with SE sync and Gmail contacts sync. Everytime i try syncing from the phone i get an error. I did not bother because i assumed that gmail automatically syncs. Over the weekend i used SEUS to repair the phone, after which, my contacts were automatically downloaded from gmail. This morning i tried calling one of my contacts and realised they are not on my phone. Manually checked my Gmail contacts and realised most of my contacts were missing. I deleted all contacts on gmail and requested a fresh sync. Everything except my contacts gets synced. The same is the case with SE sync. Has anyone noticed this? Is there a way to correct this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI got some kind of problem with duplicate even triplicate contacts on the pc when i log into SE sync so i press the button on screen to merge contacts and it just says there are no duplicates to merge but they are there I can see them. And when I syn with my phone the contacts list of the phone is totally different to my contacts list on the SE contacts sync on the pc, like in the list on the PC there could be 3 contacts but on the phone there is just 1 - yet after the sync it says sync was succesful I just dont get it.
