I just got the Sony Xperia Z3 about a week ago. My contacts have repeatedly simply disappeared from the phone. It happened again just now. I clicked the contacts icon, and I could see the contacts rapidly disappear, and now I am only left with:
* ICE - In case of Emergency
* Myself
What's going on?
I have downloaded latest update but still the same.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I discovered that when I navigate to a particular contact (it just happens to be the people I talk, email, text with most often) their information doesn't open up when I click on the trackpad.This only seems to be happening with specific contacts and not the majority of people in my address book.At this point I can only get my frequent contact's specific information (phone numbers, email addresses etc) by clicking the trackpad to find their contact name, clicking again on the menu key (I cannot click view either) and then selecting email, call, sms, mms etc and only then can I do the specific task.This is a new problem so I'm wondering if I've turned off some feature on my frequent contacts when I updated my FAcebook app on my phone.

When I click on it I get an error message "uncaught exception:java.lang.IndexoutOfBoundsException and I have taken the battery out, and also turned the power off at the icon. View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
Recenlty my browser has stoppe working. If I click on the browser icon nothing happens. If I try and switch applications the phone states that your device dose not currently have any browser configuration service book entires. Please contact your service prodiver to enable the browser on your device. The thing is I have just recently moved from Ireland to Canada and I am currently on an Irish provider, but I have not got the data plan and never have had a data plan. I access the browser through wi-fi connections. The wifi has always worked even when I arrived in Canada. now that I have been here for a week it has suddenly stopped. I have trid the host routing table, taken the sim out, taken the battery out and tried rebooting it.

I can search for names in messaging and everyone from my phone contacts, to my facebook friends and even Fearne cotton from twitter is there! I would like just my phone contacts visible in my phone book. I've tried to back up contacts from before the software update yesterday, and it takes ages to get through to 100% but the names are still missing

Even when I am not using the phone, the battery is draining very fast, upon checking I see that Android OS used up atleaset 50% when on Idel and it has a Keep awake of over 9 hrs in a total period of 10 Hrs. I do not have any apps running. I just have Trillian on which is a chat app. It also has Push messaging. It reset my phone to factory defaults even today but same thing. I also do not have Wifi or Bluetooth on. Main question is what can I do to increase the battery life from 100% to 0 % in less than 12 hrs.

I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own.

T-Mobile forced an updated to my Samsung 5 Android last evening. Now the Contact shortcuts created by the Widgets have disappeared from my home screen. I created them again they sat there for a few hours and then disappeared, now I'm creating them for the third time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?

I can't be using cell data while on Wifi because I have the limited plan on Verizon. The only way I could get it to disappear was to go into Wifi settings and disable mobile data. I've started having a problem with my Moto X (2014) since upgrading to Lollipop (or shortly after). When I received a voicemail I cannot get rid of the notification unless I restart my phone.
I'm using my phone in the UK on the EE 4G network. I'm using Android 5.0 which is the latest update available.
Having read through advice given to others in this and other forums and spoken to Motorola customer support, I've tried the following:
1. Leaving myself an additional message, listening to it, deleting it. The new voicemail notification arrives but does not clear after deleting the message.
2. Rebooting to safe mode which clears the notification on the reboot, but once I have another voicemail the same thing happens again. This rules out one of my third party apps causing the problem.
3. Clearing all the app defaults.
the red dot does not go away after listening and deleting message.tried going back into messages and there is not any.Tried restarting phone to no avail.

In my old Xperia phone, I can create Direct Dial shortcut on Home Screen. In which the icon displayed for the shortcut is the photo in the Contact. However, after I changed to the new Z2, the photo can't be displayed as icon on the Home Screen.
