BB Torch :: Sms Error Message When Clicking On The Icon?
May 22, 2012
I am receiving text messages; however, I cannot open nor send. When I click on it I get an error message "uncaught exception:java.lang.IndexoutOfBoundsException and I have taken the battery out, and also turned the power off at the icon. Everything else seems to be working fine except for this.
I can not open any message icon by clicking.Every other icon will open. When i scroll over sms or email it will high light and identify by will not open.
When I try to access my text icon I get an error message that says "uncaught exception: java lang,. Index Outofbounds exception" I have no clue what this means or how to fix it - but it is very annoying. I have the latest software updat and I have rebooted - even took the battery our and restarted the phone
I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
Message inbox icon (notification/ indicator) for Text message does not appear on my Torch 9860 when I receive text message (the little tiny text message bubble icon).I get it for email and blackberry messenger (little envelop for email, blue bubble for messenger) but nothing for text message.
before this problem happends, about 3 days ago i've got an error message saying built in media got an error so must repair it or wipe it.. i tried to repair it, but it keeps saying built in media repair failed. so i wipe it..but, a couple of seconds after i click wipe built in media, my blackberry reboots by itself..after it finished rebooting, my blackberry tells me built in media got an error again.and i tried to wipe it again but my blackberry still rebooting it self again.this happends 4 times in a rowand yes, the blackberry still rebooting itself again.but, this time, my blackberry didn't finish rebooting, the loading bar stuck in 3/4 of the bar.of the bar.so today i tried to fix it with tried to restore it to factory default.. but it keeps failed connecting to the device..the third time i tried, it got a white blank screen when reaching the 3/4 loading bar..
For a week now, my torch has the icon in the upper bar that improperly shows how many unread msgs I have. I have read all my messages and it always shows me one unread.I realize it's not a serious issue, but could somebody offer advice on how to fix this? Seems like the OS hiccuped somewhere. Batt pull does not help. Otherwise the phone works perfectly
Recenlty my browser has stoppe working. If I click on the browser icon nothing happens. If I try and switch applications the phone states that your device dose not currently have any browser configuration service book entires. Please contact your service prodiver to enable the browser on your device. The thing is I have just recently moved from Ireland to Canada and I am currently on an Irish provider, but I have not got the data plan and never have had a data plan. I access the browser through wi-fi connections. The wifi has always worked even when I arrived in Canada. now that I have been here for a week it has suddenly stopped. I have trid the host routing table, taken the sim out, taken the battery out and tried rebooting it.
I'm using a Torch 9800 and I have a message icon in the little notification bar in between the profile selector and the search but I have no messages. I have no voicemail that I haven't listened to, no unread facebook messages or emails, no missed calls, nothing that I can see that would create the little envelope message icon and if I click on it it does not show that I have any messages - only my calender entries. This happened about a month ago and then happened again 2 days ago so I now have 2 messages showing but no messages which is so irritating. Not stopping my phone from working or anything horrid like that, just an irritation as I think I have a message when I don't actually have any unread messages. I have also tried to reboot a number of times but then 1st thing I see when it reboots is those 2 stupid messages that don't exist.
So all of my emails used to show up both in the address specific icon as well as the general message icon. Now they are only showing up in the general message icon.
When I try to access specific emails that I know are for the specific emaill adddress the icon opens but it just displays "*No Messages*" even though the little red astrix is on the icon indicating I have received a new email for that specific address.
I just got the Sony Xperia Z3 about a week ago. My contacts have repeatedly simply disappeared from the phone. It happened again just now. I clicked the contacts icon, and I could see the contacts rapidly disappear, and now I am only left with:
My little message notification icon doesn't count how many new messages I have anymore... Not that it's a necessity, but all my other notifications still count, why doesn't this one how to get it to work properly again?
My Torch 9800 has developed a weird problem with the text icon on the home screen. When I tap on it, my desktop messages open instead?it used to work fine when I first got the phone. The only way I can write a text is to select a contact from the contacts list and then select to send that person a text message. This all works but is a pain. I'm sure this is just finger trouble and a setting has been changed somewhere but where.
i've been noticing that while I'm on apps such as Facebook or Instagram that my phone will start clicking on people's profiles, liking posts, or clicking links unprovoked. I thought maybe it was a problem with the apps, but I started noticing it happening whike sending a text the phone will click on suggested words by itself, and even if I'm just on the home screen apps will open on their own.
After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox. It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all! I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck. So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I have not issue synchronizing my 9810 with my outlook calendar and contacts. But I now get an error message when it is almost complete the calendar synch. The error message is: Error Encountered Error Code 0x800fd28 Check Documentation.I can find no reference to this. The synch stops with no progress or transfer of information.
My phone randomly turned off earlier and only turned back on when I plugged it in, but as it was turning on a message appeared and says, "Error 102 Reload Software". When I went to the site it told me to, to find more information it said the page was no longer available.
I did an update today with my Blackberry Torch and when syncing with my Computer continue to get the following message:CRTranRec::GetLinkedRecordld :Invalid linked record ld
I am trying to sync my phone with my pc Outlook and it keeps giving an error message Ox80040fb3 that I've already looked up and the solutions I found have not solved the problem. When I sync the Calendar button only is when this kicks out.
Torch 9800 and Curve 8310 and Playbook.I'm trying to send using bluetooth to all of the above and get the error message "Abort FTP operaton, no services found"
I can see all the devices on the laptop, and on each device I can see the laptop.
Since upating the software on my BB Tour 9630, I am often unable to click on links and web buttons in the browser (or during games like the pre-installed Texas Hold Em poker). Often I'll have to click a link/button 2 or 3 times (or I'll need to click "menu" then "open link" while the cursor is on the link). This is NOT problem with the roller ball it's the software and I never experienced this prior to the update. I've read suggestions on other boards to remove the battery for 30 seconds and then re-install it, but that hasn't help.
I am getting the following error message when trying to synchronize my calendar (contacts synchronize with no problem):"CRTranRec: GetLinkedRecordid: Invalid linked record Id"
For last 2 weeks I've had a SIM card error message on my Torch 9800. It also shows an SOS message where the signal strength should be. The error message goes away when I'm in range of a wireless network which my phone has been set up for (my home, and where I work). Otherwise it won't receive/sent messages when I'm outside one of these zones. I've had tried opening the phone up and removing/reinserting the SIM card. It doesn't work. Now I have a phone that pretty much doesn't work, except in very small zones. What can I do to get my phone fixed. Does this sound like something I can do myself, or do I need to send it to RIM to be fixed.
When I try to download Blackerry Bridge I get a message that it's not available for my device. Is there any way to get the Bridge to my Playbook (OS2) to work
Blackberry Torch 9860. When I try to sync using the desktop software the syncing starts as usual but then I get the error message 0x8386003e and I find that the tasks and contacts have not synced at all. I use Outlook. It says refer to documentation but there's no note of this error message anwhere.
when I reboot my BB (Torch 9800, OS 6), I always have this message "Uncaught exeption: Application Registry. Get Or Wait For (0x70170be9d2fc292) owner died Thread [Thread-399124480,5]".
