IPhone :: 4 - Clock And Calculator Icon Disappear From It?
Jun 13, 2012
I just notice that my clock and calculator icon is no where to be found on my iphone, i tried spotlight and resetting the layout and nothing came up, i try googling and all said that clock and calculator can't be erase so it have to be in the iphone somewhere and the others who have the same problem seem to have their problem solved with resetting layout. My iphone is jailborken so I'm not sure if that is what causing this problem...
Thinking it is time for Apple to stop working on these apps and let folks download apps from the app store for all this? Would seem Apples time is best spend working on the core apps - Mail/Safari/iPod/Contacts/Camera etc. Am not sure if the Maps app is one of the core apps though Apple has bought a couple of companies to enhance this.
What do you guys think. There seem to be very good apps in the store for many of these utilities??
I can not fathom how they spent all this time and effort to make this new OS really sleek then they go ahead and take a perfectly good icon and make it look like meatloaf....Apple I just don't get it
the red dot does not go away after listening and deleting message.tried going back into messages and there is not any.Tried restarting phone to no avail.
Info: iMac 24" intel core 2 duo, Mac OS X (10.6.2), iphone 3gs 32 GB
I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen. Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
The text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?
Message icon on my nokia 6303i won't disappear, my inbox also says that it has on unread message despite the fact that they have all been read! I have turned it on and off, deleted my sim messages and it stubbornly remains
since I've update my OS with the v5.5.5.593 official, my AppWorld icon has disappear ! I've downloaded it again from the blackberry website but it doesn't change anything ! can see it in my applications list but I didn't find the icon !
How do I get rid of a message icon in the header bar when there is no message there? I have deleted all messages on facebook, removed the battery and it still is there. I have searched for hidden messages and can't find any.
Currently have a Nexus 5 running Android Lollipop and after someone left me a voice message, I have been unable to get rid of the voicemail icon, even though I don't have any messages at the present time. I already tried leaving/deleting a new voice message, icon remains.
Text icon disappear from home page and go to search menu and d ont know when I get a text so I have to check my contact one by one what a pain How do I fix that witout wipping every time
Every time I connect to Wifi, the 4G icon doesn't disappear... I can't tell if 4G is still connected. I can't be using cell data while on Wifi because I have the limited plan on Verizon. The only way I could get it to disappear was to go into Wifi settings and disable mobile data. How do I get it to not use 4G or make the icon disappear when I'm connected to Wifi?
Is it just me or does "GPS icon" take ages to disappear on exiting OVI Maps since updating phone firmware? Happy to have helped the forum in a small way from 2007-10
I just got the Sony Xperia Z3 about a week ago. My contacts have repeatedly simply disappeared from the phone. It happened again just now. I clicked the contacts icon, and I could see the contacts rapidly disappear, and now I am only left with:  * ICE - In case of Emergency * Myself  What's going on?
I've started having a problem with my Moto X (2014) since upgrading to Lollipop (or shortly after). When I received a voicemail I cannot get rid of the notification unless I restart my phone.
I'm using my phone in the UK on the EE 4G network. I'm using Android 5.0 which is the latest update available.
Having read through advice given to others in this and other forums and spoken to Motorola customer support, I've tried the following:
1. Leaving myself an additional message, listening to it, deleting it. The new voicemail notification arrives but does not clear after deleting the message.
2. Rebooting to safe mode which clears the notification on the reboot, but once I have another voicemail the same thing happens again. This rules out one of my third party apps causing the problem.
Most of us from Africa, Nigeria in particular prefer to use Liberty Reserve as our payment option becuase it very easy for us. How possible it is for you to add it to your payment option so that one can buy applications from nokia store. My c7 problems are too much; camera not working, most app disappear, gallery picture disappear and so on,
I started using an E72 recently and installed the latest software. However there is an annoying problem with it, from time to time, i.e. once a day, it freezes. The phone won´t respond to any key (you can press and nothing happens), except the email key if keep it press it will display the screen to send an email, but that is all.
I found that the problem in clock related. The clock icon disappears from the main screen and anything after will led to a frozen phone, reboot is the only option. Sometimes going to the clock applications solves the problem but not always.
I disable the automatic sync of the clock and left it manual. But that only has halved the occurrence of the problem.
While I was attempting to move my alarm clock icon higher up on my menu, I hit the track ball to put it down and the icon disappeared. I restarted the phone and I cannot find it now. I hit the "show hidden" option, and it isn't there. The indication that the alarm is set still appears on my home page however.
Is there a way to get the alarm sound to be louder? I can sleep right through it. I downloaded another alarm app and the same thing happens. When I listen to the alarm sound in the settings it sounds loud, but then when it goes off I barely even hear it.
All too frequently my BB 9900 touch decides to just flash up the spinning clock icon and be generally unresponsive. Similarly sometimes the phone refuses to wake up for a minute or two when the unlock button is pressed / having been in the holster etc.
About 5% of the time when I send an email, ithe message does not get sent immediately but shows a clock icon where there would be a check mark if it had been sent. I don't find any documentation on what the clock icon is supposed to mean. Any message that exhibits the clock just sits and does not get sent until I manually select "Resend". On my old 8800, occasionally if the service could not be contacted or was busy a message would hang around until the service became available and it would be sent automatically. In the current case, no matter how long I wait (days) it never gets sent automatically.
I'm a relatively new Smartphone user and am still getting used to my 8530 Curve. Over the last couple of days whenever I go to do anything on my phone (check facebook, check email, switch to another application, etc) I get this little black clock in the middle of my screen and it's like everything freezes for a few seconds. What is this and what does it mean?
