Xperia X10 :: Remove Groups From Contact View - Phone Contacts?
Nov 17, 2010
I've created Contact Groups that are placed under Phone Contacts (Not Gmail Contacts!).Now I try to delete them and they do disappear from my apps like Contacts GroupU.But if you check the View Contacts - Display Contacts - Phone Contacts from the Phonebook (top left icon in Contactlist) all groups are still there. Some that were created twice are even listed double.I would like to know how I can remove those groups from the list.If I keep a group from the Gmail lst pressed, then I get a popup offering me to delete the sync group.I hope you understand my problem. If not I will take a picture and upload it.
I am unable to add contacts or edit contact groups. I can create a new group and get as far as checking the check boxes in add contacts to group but it will not update.
When I add specific contacs to a group, I do not see that contact listed under the main contacts list. They are available only under the groups. It looks like a bug with the xperia neo v. Is there a way I can have the contact seen in both the main contacts list and in the groups? I use the xperia neo v which is upgraded with ICS 4.0.4
I just recently upgraded to android 2.1 via PC_companion. And so far everything went through just fine. Using "contacts groups" I created few groups. For some reason I decided to remove the groups and my first option was delete it from contacts_group which was fairly easy. However I notice though the groups was deleted, if I go to phonebook I still see the groups. How to completely remove them?
i got the N900 and i have some Qs, 1- how i make contact groups ? 2- how i can make speed dial ? 3- how i can make voice command ? 4- how it increse the font size on contact names ? 5- why the missed call come with the full name and all phone no. , i need to know the missed no. of the contact person.
I have updated to 2.1 and since I have done this the contacts are all messed up How can i remove all of them in the phone , as then i could import the file from my memory card
How do I remove all my FB contacts from my phone book? they are all in there and I don't want them in there. I never knowingly asked for them in there. The manual for my phone does not help as it bears no resemblance to my phoen anymore. Not sure I like this new software. It doesnot even have the alphabet for easy scrolling in the music.
I just added my google account to my Z5. All google contacts transfered correctly, but no contact groups are shown under contacts/groups/myusername@gmail.com section.
Droid 3. Trying to group my contacts but when I give the new group a name and hit OK, the group does not show up in the listing. All I have is System Group: My contacts.
Also, in Gmail, I have my contact grouped but don't know how to sync them down to the phone, if that's possible. If I could do that it would be much easier and faster than manually setting them up on the phone, since the categorization is already completed.
This is my first Android phone. i am coming from iPhone. In the contact list section, there are different platforms that you can choose your contact lists to be imported from. I am trying to remove some contacts from my WhatsApp contact list, however it is not letting me. How to remove them? I have no contacts saved on my SIM card either.
Can't edit, add/remove contacts. Only can open a few contacts of the contact list not all. When turning on the device appears: "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (245) is not responding; process terminated"How can I repair this error?Blackberry Storm 9550
just got my Mini Pro two days ago and I sucessfully updated it to Android 2.1.
Now my question is : is there a way to create "Contact Groups" and assign one ring tone to that group instead of doing it for each contact 9one by one)?
I synchronized my X10mini pro with the SE service [URL] and all contacts were uploaded successfully. I edited a contact (changed the e-mail address from "home" to "work") through the web interface and saved it.-However, when checking the contact through the web interface, it appears blank (I've tried using both Firefox and Internet Exploder, logging in and out etc)...When synching from the phone, the contact showed up with the updated information, so that worked fine, but it's not good I can't see it anymore....
I have the iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1. Is there any way for me to organize my contacts into groups so that I can send a text message to a large group of people without having to individually pick out their contact? On my old phone I could simply assign each contact to a group name. I'm sure there is a function like this on the iPhone.
On the E72, if you have tingtones associated to Caller Groups and a particular Contact is a member of 2 (or even 3) Groups, which ringtone will sound when he calls in?
Ive created a list of sub-groups for my fairly extensive contact list, but I can't figure out how to add contacts to these subgroups without having to re-enter the contact info as a "new contact". Is it possible to select from my "All Contacts" list those numbers I want included in a particular subgroup?
When I enter the mobile number the auto dash ( - ) come automatically after 4 digits Even when I tried to update number in the contact
why I don't want it , because when I make a backup , the numbers will be with dash ( E.g. 1111-1111-1111 ) and this format I can't restore it in another website or software
It seems that the E71 does not support groups like older models used to: apparently groups are listed alongside contacts, and it is no longer possible to see and search groups directly. I'd like to see my groups straight away (e.g. clients, business partners, friends, etc), open and search them, rather than finding them among the contacts. Actually, this setup misses the whole point of classifying contacts into groups! What on Earth was Nokia thinking? Is there any way around this? A firmware update or a third-party app? Also, how are contact groups managed in the N97 mini? Is it the same, or does that mobile finally allow you to see and search groups directly?
Here is where I get stuck: When I am at the "New Group" screen, and it asks me to "Add a Member," I click the trackball and it brings me to my contact list. Then, whether I click the trackball or the menu button on the contact, I seem unable to add a member.
My iPhone4 Contacts has duplicated contacts "From My Mac" and from "iCloud". This probably happened becasue I was syncing to myMac before iCloud services came on line. How can I erase all the contacts from my mac?
why when I go to write a text message and go to a group, more than half the members of the group are grayed out and it says these contacts have no numbers.I am a massive group texter and now I am stuck in quicksand over this.and one more thing, what is with these "My account groups" that were normal functioning groups before GB and now they cannot even be edited.
there is any way to make groups of ******* Say you want to separate work people from normal people? That way, I could just turn off ******” when I don’t want to be bothered with any calls.
I found one option to go on icloud and make new groups and add the contacts I want to those groups.
I cannot figure out how to get those new groups to actually show up on my phone.
I don't use icloud for anything, other than backing contacts, thats it.Â
BTW, without using any additional programs or downloads.Â
Anyway to surpass the 20 members per group limitation...I have to say this is really annoying why is it old androids phone let you have close to unlimited members per group according to your SD card storage, but not for Lumia 900
so I am thinking Nokia should mark this as a play phone not for business usage? I am quite frustrated that I got a new phone but force to use back my 5800 xpress music because most of my contacts transfer over is kinda screw up, and yes I have went to a Nokia care center and all they can reply "is a new software is like that".
The max number of persons allowed in a contact group is (as far as I know) restricted to 20 persons. This seems very low and I wonder why this restriction is applied. A limitation of 20 persons in a group is not practical.
