I have had the phone for a week or two now and every now and again my contact list deletes several contacts, and I do not know why. It also on a number of occassions adds several contacts from my email account and I have no idea why? and to top things of, yesterday it duplicated most of my contact list. Is it something im doing by accident?

Anytime I add a contact detail via the handset if I let it sync, either via Google or SE, the contact will be wiped which is pretty useless (basically I cannot add new contacts on the handset, proposterous!). they recommended I use the software update program to update the handset software. I have done this but the update software tells me the handset is running the latest software, the problem persists.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a new problem to update with FP2. Suddenly last evening I noticed that all my contacts are showing as unnamed, although their details are intact. Just the names are missing. The whatsapp favorites/contacts list looks fine and the contact search before making a call is also identifying the contacts. The names have disappeared only from the master contacts list. I tried doing the usual restart couple of times.Also did a Nokia sync but the issue hasn't been resolved. I'm worried about restoring the backup lest the problem remains.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a lumia 800 that randomly deletes my contacts from my contacts list, the amount of contacts and when it deletes them is totally random.I contacted nokia support and they suggested a factory reset, which I did and the phone then promptly deleted 4 more of my contacts.I contacted nokia support again and they suggested a rollback to the previous backup before the latest update, tried to do this(twice) but this does not work and I get error code 801812eo.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. how do I do this?it seems all my contacts are not synching from my Outlook on my computer to my phone and I want to change that also when i use options in Contact List it asks me to Show All Contact Lists, which shows 2 e-mail addresses but not all my e-mail addresses that come in on my phone; I think that is where the problem stems

After adding a new contact, it does not integrate into the contacts list. It just sits at the top of the list.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has probably been covered, but i recently went to update OS to the 5.0, but while it was loading, the thing crashed and said a fatal error had occured. i had to go back to an older version, 4.6 i think, and now my contacts will not go in the contact list. I see them on my sim card, but when i try to copy all contacts to my contact list, it copies 1 contact, 8 times. its the damndest thing i have ever seen. i did not do a backup before the new install, my fault, but now i cannot get my contacts in my list. Has anyone had this problem or even heard of such. I called tech support, the only thing they said was it was probably a bad sim card, and to take it to the local repair store.

I successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then my Nokia N8 contact list freezes when I try to select a contact fom the list, when starting a call or by accessing the contact list directly. A reboot, factory reset nor firmware reinstalling doesn't solve the problem, it only works temporarily. When the list freezes I am able to swipe through it up and down, though selecting contacts is not possible. I do see a cursor blinking in the lower half of the screen, at the position where the search window normally is. The search window itself is vanished.
