Looking for any good hacks/tricks for this phone. In particular I would like to be able to rearrange the icons on the menus and have all the ones I want listed first or hide ones I done want.

Is there a way to rearrange icons for apps on phone and ipad in iTunes while having multiple screens open. It looks as if you can only move apps when you double click one screen, but then you don't see the other screens so it is kind of hard to put apps on different screens according to kind....
Is it really that much of a pain to move icons? It is for me now...Or are there video's available for people who need visual clues?

Yesterday I start trying to use it to forward certain emails I receive on my home desktop computer (Thunderbird) to the Caliber phone.
I would say 95% never make it and a few bounce back out of those so I never get a clue as to what happened. On occasion, one gets through..I have no clue why as its the SAME test email every time. Sometimes the phone will go into downloading message mode eternally (until I remove the battery and re insert it). The files forwarded are small text files.
I have contacted MetroPCS and they were not very much help at all. They are supposedly "opening a support ticket" but I don't know what if any good that will do.
At this point I gather the phone or network behind it is still in development mode. I would strongly advice anyone contemplating this phone to hold off for a while. Seems there are bugs since it is so new.
Someone (maybe from metroPCS or Samsung) may come on and post a rebuttal, but you'll just have to decide for yourself. I am quite frustrated.
The phone seems to do ok on most other things, but messaging is very important to me and it simply fails on this phone so far.

In fact, every screen had a message in the middle saying to drag items to add them to the screen, like it was *supposed* to be blank. Before today, turning the phone off and on again resolved this.In fact, when I clicked on the Applications icon at the bottom, got nothing but a spinning circle. After a minute or two, I pulled the battery, returned it, and powered up again. This time, everything is again normal. But I am concerned. This phone is just 5 weeks old.

most pages stay correct but the main page 1 keeps changing from how i set it on rebooting.

A message tell me it is "preparing the cache and soon the search command will be available again" (?). It could take up to 2 minutes to start an app And then it is very slow to run that: no other apps running in the background other than email. View 2 Replies View RelatedThis isn't a major issue either but something that keeps bothering me.I recently acquired the nokia 6700 slide phone to replace my older samsung slide phone.So far I'm fairly satisfied with the 6700 and the functions and applications suits my needs.There is however one thing which I haven't been able to change nor do I know if it is possible to change.my old samsung slide, when browsing the menus and applications, closing the slide would automatically close the menu or application I was using and return the phone to the home screen. In 6700, it doesn't close the application or menu that I'm browsing but rather keeps it open in the background as long as I manually navigate away from the menu or application. I know that the power button returns you to your home screen but is it possible to change the slide setting so that simply closing the slide would automatically close the menu or application and return the phone to the home screen?This is not a major issue but I still find it irritating since I'm used to just closing the slide to be able to see the home screen the next time I open it. Do I just have to get used to pushing the power button to get back to the home screen before closing the slide?
View 4 Replies View RelatedConsidering upgrade from Windows 7.5 device (not Nokia) and looking at 820 or 920, but really like speed, integration and features of Bing Maps - looking at reviews/comments, removing the menu item for Bing Maps is putting me off the Nokia and pushing me towards the HTC!Why not have both available on the phone? You have the codee there so it does not affect the underlying platform. User choice is and should be king on these devices, so why remove the Bing Maps option? This must be a simple fix for you to do.... so make yourself another customer, and a load of people out there happier by adding the menu item back in ---- you don't have to have it pinned to the start menu by default, just available for those of us who want to use it instead of -- or as well as -- Nokia Maps.

I tried to unlock the phone, connect with the internet by BIS, deleted branding, gained access to engineer menu etc, but even though all those things were done properly, i can't get those options back.
EDIT: My OS: 6.0.0.723 (3106) Phone have been branded in Orange, but i've installed other kind of os.
