BB Tour 9630 :: Wiped Media Card Up - Now Device Memory Just Shows Up Not Media Card
Aug 12, 2010Ok, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........

I had a lot of music on the card and up until a few days ago it was working perfectly.Yesterday I switched on the phone and it would not recognise the card. In fact, it said the card needed formatting! I re-formatted the card and put more music on it and it works fine again now but I do not understand what went wrong.

Apr 27, 2010Can someone tell me how SMS messages are stored on a Nokia N86 and in what kind of file? I need to restore from a memory card. I have always stored my SMSs on my micro SD memory card with no problems, but today they completely disappeared, I have nothing left in my Inbox, Drafts or Sent folders - over a year's worth of messages that I wanted to keep!It happened today when I went into the photo settings on the N86 and noticed that my photos were being saved in 'Mass Storage', so I changed the option to 'Memory Card'. For some strange reason this seems to have had the effect of wiping / overwriting all my saved SMSs on the memory card. Strangely other files seem to have been left untouched, e.g. in the document folder.
Can anyone help?

Apr 27, 2015after the update was finished all my contacts were gone all the photos for the past year and a half everything on my SD card was completely gone even my sim card didn't have any more contacts on it. It was updating when I went back inside and didn't even pump me for the update or to remove my sd card.

Jan 25, 2010Well, I've been running 5.0 OS's for months, and I'm not sure exactly when this problem happened, but my video camera stopped recording sound. Speaker phone and the voice notes recorder work fine.
I wiped the phone, formatted the SD card, and went back to the 4.7.1.65 os.I've still got no sound. Is there actually a different mic for the video camera than the speaker phone and the voice notes recorder?I've pulled the files onto my computer to verify that there is absolutely no sound.
BB Storm :: Return A .REM To Decrypt It?
Apr 4, 2011I've never had a problem downloading photos from my Storm to my laptop till today, so I set the download to "erase when complete". The videos came over just fine, but all the photos disappeared, leaving only ONE .RE'M file which of course I can't open. I'm sick about it - so many photos of my grandchildren on the carousel.
Can I upload that one .REM back to my Storm and decrypt it?

May 21, 2012I have an old bb curve 8900 with over 1000 pics and I am trying to download the pics, but every time I try they all have the .rem extension. I've tried transferring them to my mac using the bb desktop manager but it is only reading 168 pics and ignoring the rest. I've tried changing the media card settings as suggested by another site, and I have tried using the media card adapter but neither has worked. Is there something I need to do differently?

Jul 11, 2011I have recently upgraded my Pearl 3G 9100 from OS5 to OS6, and now I can't seem to decrypt my encrypted files for use on my computer. Under OS5, if I plugged the phone into the computer and engaged media transport mode, all the files that I copied onto the phone would be automatically encrypted and all the files that I copied off the phone would be automatically decrypted. I would also be given the option to have video files converted into a form the phone could play, Under OS6, when I connect the phone to the computer I get two options for data transfer, USB Drive and Media Sync, but neither of these modes seems to automatically decrypt files that I copy from my phone to my computer. All of the files that I have tried to copy off my phone under either mode are unviewable on the computer. Is there something I'm missing? If I can't find a way to accomplish the same automatic en/decryption and media conversion that was possible under OS5's media transport mode, under OS6 then I will have to downgrade back to OS5 again.

Oct 10, 2012After upgrading from gb to ics I am having problems decrypting digitally signed email in Exchange. I had a similar problem in gb but it only effected the attachements. Now I can't read the message in addition to the attachments.
I have *.cer, *.crt, and *.p7b files for certificates, but the exchange client on the Atrix 2 doesn't seem to accept them (looks like it only accepts *.p12 and *.pfx). I did manage to add the *.crt files to the credential storage storage section in the main settings window, but that doesn't seem to help with the exchange client.

Jan 3, 2016As the title states, I flashed the lastest Cataclysm (stable) and ElementalX kernel(also TWRP asked me that SuperSU wasn't present and to flash it so I did, that might've messed it up), phone booted up fine and set my fingerprint password and everything. I decided to reboot my phone and the phone encrypted itself and now the ROM is force closing and I can't do anything. It asks for a password every time the recovery starts up (I tried default_password, no go) and TWRP won't let me decrypt.
So my question is, is there a way to decrypt without erasing userdata? Would really like to keep my internal storage. I have lots of important pictures and files.

Jun 27, 2011I've lost my old bb and bought the same model (Bold 9000) on ebay. I've blocked the SIM card in the old device and registered the new device (PIN / IMEI) to BIS. The registration was without problems so the old device should not have any registration. Furthermore I deleted any IT policy with KB14202: method 3 (loader.exe).However, my bb get no connection to the BIS so that I can receive emails etc.. calls, SMS, data transfer etc. works. The device do not recieve service books and HRT-registration messages stay without any answer. My mobile network operator (O2) has confirmed that there is a small amount of data exchange between my new BB and the BB server.Has somebody any idea where the old equipment could still be registered (or the old SIM card?) or is still preventing me to the register at bb-server (BIS)?
