Windows doesn't have the driver for the USB cable for the X6 i'm using Windows XP Home Service Pack 2, when i plugged the phone in, it searched for the drivers but said, windows can't find the drivers bla bla bla, any idea's on how to solve this issue, or where i can Download the drivers?
I'm using bluetooth for everything but i need the bloody USB cable for software updating....
I have installed Nokia Suite twice (after first uninstalling it and removing all the drivers) and Nokia software update once, but neither product can see the phone connected by the USB cable. Windows is able to load some of the drivers, but depending on the time 3 or 4 of the 7 or 8 items windows tries to install fail. ie Nokia N86 USB LCIF fails, Nokia N86 USB Generic fails. Device manager has a flag on all phone related items, except for Nokia N86 USB Phone Parent. During the software installs the software sees a phone and asks for it to be removed before continuing with the install, which I comply with. So the software at least partially sees it. The phone is connected by the Nokia supplied cable directly to the motherboard in PC mode and this is a fresh (1 week old) install of Win 7 64.

I have restarted both Phone and laptop several times. I did connect successfully to my HTC Radar. I don't even get the "Charging" symbol on my Lumia. Connecting My Lumia to another laptop running Windows 8 works just fine. How can I install the correct driver, and from where to I get it? I expected to get it from Windows Update as it should "just works".

I downloaded the X10 Mini drivers to be able to debug using the Netbeans Android SDK addon. Now, how do I install them? I have the sa0101usb.inf file (and all the rest in the SEMC_Signed folder). I right-click and click Install, but I get the following error: "The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation". I have also tried "upgrading the driver" of "PHONE CARD" under "Portable Devices" in the Device Manager, but the driver does not seem compatible with the device (according to Windows).

HTC Sync ( v3.2.20 ) says "No device connected" I guess thats because I'm missing the Android Phone drivers. In device manager there is two devices without driver: Android Phone and RNDIS ( USB Tethering ) Device manager is not finding any driver for my phone when I press update driver. But now when I use the 64-bit version the application installs all the drivers and even loads. However, when I connect my Satio via USB, it gives driver error (unrecognized). It seems SE didn't provide support for the 64-bit version OS.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust to be more specific, the phones charges, but if I want to use it as media device, I'm told you have to unlock it, fine, but when I finally get to see my storage on my PC screen, after a couple seconds it disconnects, meaning I don't see it anymore, anywhere on my PC, but phone still charges.
Couple of seconds afterwards, back up again..as you imagine, backing up photos/videos is impossible, I don't have the time to transfer huge amount of data before I'm prompt with a message telling me it has been cancelling due to not finding the file anymore..

USB OBEX
MTB USB Device
USB Phonet
USB LCIF
Subsequently I cannot use PC suite or OVi suite. I have tried uninstalling PC suite but each time I start again the same thing happens, even if I change USB ports.I have successfully loaded same drivers on my Samsung laptop (WIN 7 64 bit home premium) using the same cable and can connect to PC suite OK.
I own a Nokia 5230. I am having problems using the Bluetooth functionality. When connecting to my computer (Windows 7 64) via usb I have no issues, but over bluetooth I get 3 uninstalled components which are listed as Bluetooth Peripheral Device in Device Manager.I have not fully tested my bluetooth functionality yet, but I do know that when I try to listen to the audio through my computer speakers or use a headset set up to my computer it doesn't work properly. What do I need to do?

Coming off a bad relationship with the E-7, the Lumia Looks good and feels good..HOWEVER, I have noticed that when holding the phone in my hand it gets quite hot? As well as the charger plug heats up considerably after about a hour.. Another issue I have encountered is that the drivers do not seem to want to work, im running windows vista, (not that great i suppose) but if i upgrade my OS to Win8 would it make any difference to the use of the phone?

View 11 Replies View RelatedMy old 5310 had no problems connecting through bluetooth or cable to my PC. Now I updated to a X6 and nothing but issues connecting. The bluetooth works sometimes, when it feels like it, when it doesn't work and I disable bluetooth on the phone, I can't enable it again, it just says something along the lines it can't execute bluetooth operation. First time I experienced it, I gave up and a little later I tried again, bluetooth enabled as normal and immediately connected and worked as normal.
Then I try to connect through USB cable, on which it only tries to find drivers (which it used to have when I first got the phone) and eventually I get a message the phone is still transferring files (which it isn't) and I need to enable PC Suite mode while that's what it's on. I think there's something very wrong with the software.
I have been trying to connect with Nokia PC suite but as I plug the N900 and select PC suite mode, windows xp asks for drivers for new found device.Reinstalling PC Suite didn't help.I used to have a N95 ... could this be interfering in some obscure way ? Reading Nokia web pages let me think drivers are included with the Nokia PC Suite.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have received this week my new N900. Everything superb until last Friday when I was in my car listening music through the A2DP profile (stereo bluetooth), received a call, was using also 3G and all this meanwhile the N900 was plugged to the car charger (borrowed from a N97). That was quite usual with my HTC Diamond. But suddenly when I left the car the N900 bricked, so I restarted but since then the only thing I could see is the NOKIA logo with the white wallpaper.
Later at home i tried to remove the battery, put it back again, plugged to the adapter and i could see a small usb logo on the right top corner. Then I followed the guides found here to flash und update the firmware (flasher-3.5 and so on, with my windows 7 pc). First I reinstalled the latest firmware file (.bin) and it seems to be OK, with no error comand. Then I rebooted the N900 but the result was the same, it stopped 30-40 segs later and switch off. I though it was also necessary to do the eMMC, so i repeated following the new steps, but in this case i found these messages from the flasher:
-USB not found
-USB raw data transfer EP found at EP2
-SU_GET_UPDATE_STATUS_REQ terrminated with error code 1.
I have no idea what do they mean but the case is that now I can see no usb logo on the top when I plug the usb adapter (either USB or AC), so it is now impossible to comunicate with the pc. I have tried again to remove the battery, even in a Nokia center with another battery from the 8500 which i didn't know was the same, but no result. The most strangest thing is that the N900 refuses to be charged as once it is plugged to the AC, a yellow light appears and on the screen I can only see the nokia logo on a dark backlight (as I said, with no usb logo now), but 30 segs later it is continously switching off.
I am already mentally prepared to ask Nokia for a replacement, but I still resist to accept there is no solution to revive this little but complex device.
Recently I've downloaded the new Ovi Maps and I find that it has finally added useable maps for my country. Now I can't seem to find to "Go to My Position" option on the map, like the one on google maps.

It would find my router at home and conect to it, it would find wireless hotspots everywhere and connect to them etc... Now, all of the sudden, it will not find anything anymore. Even if I am standing in front of my router, it will say "No WLAN network found".
I just updated her phone to the newest firmware and reset everything to factory defaults, and the phone still refuses to find any WLAN's. I went into the menu and made sure that it does show WLAN availability etc...
When i try to flash my n900 it says usb device not found. waiting. when i connect my n900 in usb mode it does nothing.im using windows vista please help!

View 14 Replies View RelatedI bought a N900 from UAE last week and I am using it in Surat, Gujarat, all works fine but I am not able to find nokia messaging to configure email accounts and also I am not able to connect any widgets or messenger( msn, gmail, yahoo) on the phone. Only I am able to browse internet on the maemo browser and firefox which I installed later. Please give me any tips or tricks how can I get it up and working. As even if I try to configure the default email account of hotmail or gmail, it is configured quickly but cannot send receive emails in the inbox. Just gets the error message " could connect to imap and or server proxy port number is wrong. Tried all I could from the help of service providers, but no luck as they are all totally unaware of any settings regarding this phone in India. Please people help me with this..
