i can't set the digital signature on my device's email settings?. There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual. The only thing that the manual mentions is how to set the digital signature for Blackberry Enterprise Server devices, and those settings are not present on my device.
My device is a Blackberry Curve 8520 v 4.6.1.314

I have a Galaxy S2 GT -19100 from Sprint. I am fairly computer/tech savvy and previously had an iphone which I jailbroke, but have moved on to the wonderful, open architecture of Android.Right out the box I downloaded Odin and quickly figured out how to root the phone. After customizing it and downloading numerous apps, I quickly realized that the phone has a bug that causes it to drop calls and lose it's signal. I waited patiently for an update, however when the update finally came out, it was apparent that my phone would not update. It would try to reboot and then it would hang on the message of E:"Failed to verify whole-file signature". I tried some simple solutions such as wiping out the data and doing a factory reset. When I tried solutions that involved loading something from the SD card, it gives an error that it won't mount. I don't know if that's because it is looking for an external card (which it doesn't have) or if it's not "mounting" the internal one.
I have ROM Manager on my phone which has a Clockwork Mod Recovery option that I tried using, but like the example above, it hangs on the same message.Another site suggested that when something like this happens, you need to flash the kernel. I was going to try and use Odin to do that, but I am unsure of which kernel would be appropriate. Half the problem seems to be figuring out which kernel I currently have. I do not seem to be getting the same information as other get when looking at "About Phone" in the settings.Here are all of my specs:

Other websites tell you to find your kernel version by checking the phone and that it should be something like: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKF1-CL256340 root@DELL106. All I have is 2.6.35.7.
I have installed Nokia Suite twice (after first uninstalling it and removing all the drivers) and Nokia software update once, but neither product can see the phone connected by the USB cable. Windows is able to load some of the drivers, but depending on the time 3 or 4 of the 7 or 8 items windows tries to install fail. ie Nokia N86 USB LCIF fails, Nokia N86 USB Generic fails. Device manager has a flag on all phone related items, except for Nokia N86 USB Phone Parent. During the software installs the software sees a phone and asks for it to be removed before continuing with the install, which I comply with. So the software at least partially sees it. The phone is connected by the Nokia supplied cable directly to the motherboard in PC mode and this is a fresh (1 week old) install of Win 7 64.

I have the sa0101usb.inf file (and all the rest in the SEMC_Signed folder). I right-click and click Install, but I get the following error: "The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation". I have also tried "upgrading the driver" of "PHONE CARD" under "Portable Devices" in the Device Manager, but the driver does not seem compatible with the device (according to Windows).

But now when I use the 64-bit version the application installs all the drivers and even loads. However, when I connect my Satio via USB, it gives driver error (unrecognized). I am running the DROIDX, Android 2.3, on Verizon. For my problem I have coined the term "Ghost Fingers" because the major symptom is my touch screen reacting to input that doesn't exist. I have been unable to link a pattern of occurrence or duration to any combination of external circumstances. Though I have noticed that symptoms seem to flair after hours and the condition in general has been deteriorating. The symptoms occur independently of any apps running. The condition has survived two o.s. updates and a Master Reset (actually forced me to perform said reset). I do not currently have nor have I ever had root access. The summation of the aforementioned conditions has led me to the assumption that the drivers for my touch screen have been compromised and that I need to replace or rewrite that section of the kernel that translates position sensitive capacitive changes into computer commands.

There seems to be a problem either with installing the drivers for the device or the device not being recognized because it "doesn't have a signature".?! It can be recognized and connects properly when in USB mode, which is strange, but it no longer has a 'phone mode' option, only a 'PC mode' option. The phone works fine by itself but I need to restore all my data to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software many times and checked my USB ports and cable. Any other ideas for me to try?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated my Z3 (D6603) to Android 5.1.1 by OTA update. After the update I appear to have a weird encryption issue. My phone was encrypted before I updated.
I have a device policy that needs my phone to be encrypted. I am getting en error via the status bar saying 'Device encryption required'. When I click this it takes me to the device policy app where I am unable to do anything re encryption.
So I had a look in the security settings and it shows my phone as encrypted. So I thought it would be best to decrypt the phone and then re-encrypt it. However when I click the 'Encrypt phone' setting nothing happens, the menu just stays where it is.
I have restarted my phone and cleared the cache just in case, but the problems persists.
We lost our BES serer at work and had to set up a new one. To re-activate my device i was required to wipe it. I am now back on the network, but have lost my internet email account. I go to the setup screen and my 3. Accounts show. I am asked to verify but get the message that 'your session cannot continue'. I cannot re-activate the accounts, or delete them or add new ones.
