i can't set the digital signature on my device's email settings?. There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual. The only thing that the manual mentions is how to set the digital signature for Blackberry Enterprise Server devices, and those settings are not present on my device.
My device is a Blackberry Curve 8520 v 4.6.1.314

however i did not make a backup
now when i go on Internet and try to watch a video i get this "an error has occured attempting to play media" message
i re did the settings however the service book entries were deleted so the error is still present
can anyone give me a hand or at least point me in the right direction? if nothing can fix this i was thinking of doing a restore however i'm with fido and would lose the "my account" app and am unsure about how to regain it
i cant really make a backup now because when i wipe out and restore my settings will still be without wap. lets say i used the advanced option in backup restore and backed up everything except options and wap settings would that leave me with a new restore and keep my fido my account apps and just have to resync my email etc with the device?
i pretty much can't watch Internet videos and it hurst.
I have only had this for 2days and I am unable to get the emails working, in the set up tables the email setting icon is not there and when I try to set up the email in the set up wizard, email set up only gives 1 option 'I want to use a work email account with blackberry enterprise server' which I don't I wan to connect to my home email address with Sky Email
View 14 Replies View Relatedim hoping this will make my problem come across easier, I think the problem im having connecting to the bbm and facebook etc on my phone through wifi is that after id been using them fine while connected to wifi, i had blackberry settings sent to me via vodafone. Now im looking to go back to bein able to connect through wifi as someone else is using the phone, so would i have to restore the original setting and if so how do it do it?

Enable HTML email yes/no
Download Images Automatically yes/no
Confirm Delivery yes/no
Confirm Read yes/no
Send Read Receipts yes/no
There is no mention of auto signature.
Anyone else missing the 'Edit Signature' option under Email Settings on their 9650? I just noticed this afternoon it's not there. I'm running 5.0.0.810 on BES.Not sure how long it has been missing; if it has been gone since June since I switched from my 8330 to this 9650 or if it was when I upgraded from .732 to .810.
Just wanted to check, I'll probably try downgrading back to .732 to see if it brings it back.I've actually only got three options under Email Settings; Enable HTML, Download images and Confirm external image download.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to the Blackberry Curve 9360 from a previous Curve model. I used my hotmail account as the primary account on my old blackberry with no issues. Now when I send an email from my blackberry / hotmail account, the signature either gives my my name twice followed by </div> or if i delete my name from the signature, the resulkt is that i just get the </div> appended to the bottom of my email.
I have searched for a solution to this problem, activation and deactivating HTML etc, but to no avail. Is there something I can do to get this resolved?

I went to the email, chose options, and then email preferences. Now here I had a problem. I don't have a tick box for auto signature. All I have are options for HTML email and Delivery.
I'm pretty sure this is not a software problem, because there is no newer version available, according to my device.

I'm writing now one day after the original post. I figured it out and it was in front of me the whole time. Don't go through Options if your with Metro PCS. Click the menu key> Click email set up> Click your email account> Click edit> and then you can change it. I think it is just Metro PCS that does this.
I would like my auto signature within Outlook to also be my auto signature on my Curve 9300. This is for an Enterprise/work account, not anything else.

When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

I seem to have gotten everything working on the Curve, except for the email.I had the same email accounts (gmail, hotmail) set up on both phones, but for some reason now that I've switched over to the Curve on the Fido network, I can't send or receive email.I've checked all my settings, and they seem right.I can access the web, my Wi-Fi is set up, and I can send & receive texts. Anyone have any ideas about this email problem? Also, I can't remember my account username for the BB website to access my account online to change the email.When I ask to send my password, it says it has been sent to my BB, but of course I can't receive email, so I'm not getting it.
