View 2 RepliesI was trying to set up an auto signature for my emails. I found the part in the user manual here at the BB web site, which was very clear. I went to the email, chose options, and then email preferences. Now here I had a problem. I don't have a tick box for auto signature. All I have are options for HTML email and Delivery.
I'm pretty sure this is not a software problem, because there is no newer version available, according to my device.
Is there a way for my to set up an auto signature
I seem to be having trouble setting up email on my Curve 9300. When I press the trackball with internet mail highlighted it does nothing. This is a work phone for I am not the first user of the phone. This all started with the outage we had ealier in the month.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using this unit for just over a year and now the battery is acting up. I've reset to the factory setting but the battery still keeps dying without any warning. When I charge, it takes less than 10min to reach 50% but it dies faster. There are no other apps running on it now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout three weeks ago I upgraded my BB from Curve 9300 to 9380. I copied settings using desktop software and transferred over to my new device. All apps reinstalled fine and I set five email accounts including 3 (business emails) provided through a hosting account with Media Temple. These all work fine and still do.My old phone was to be given to a colleague, so I reset the device and put all setting back to default and followed the process indicated for a new SIM. When we tried to set up email on the old device (9300) it wouldn't work giving an error message stating unable to verify account contact email provider. I am the administrator of the email accounts so I know that the settings are correct., the network provider reset all settings for email etc and BIS account details etc are all correct. The email account works through outlook and can be accessed via webmail and we've tried password change and even deleted and set a new email account up but still the same problem - error message stating user or password incorrect.
I hoped that this was a problem with the settings on the old device (9300) which we could pin down and resolve however it seems not to be as now when I try to set up a new email account on my new device (9380) I get the same problem!User password error - when the details entered are 100% correct and on a device which I successfully set up the same type of email account!
I have been trying to set custom ring tones for certain callers. I have tried changing the ring tone by going to Contacts, selecting the contact, and changing the ringtone listed under Custom Ring Tones/Alerts for the contact. My Sound and Alert Profile is set to normal. I have also tried going to Sound and Alert Profile and clicking on Change Sounds and Alerts. From there I have selected Sounds for Contacts and tried to Add Contact Alert. After doing this my phone still rings with the ring tone for the Normal Profile. How can I ensure that the ringtone for the custom alert comes up for these contacts?

I have 4 emails in my BB, I noticed it created multiple Calendars for each email account . I would like to have only One calender and have all Apt appear in both BB and Outlook. Now all the Apartments in BB are still there but even choosing to put them on Outlook only one way not mutually it still does not work. It only syncs the Default Calender into Outlook.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got a blackberry curve 9300 and have an email account on Microsoft Outlook on a PC at home and am trying to get it to sync so that I can check emails while I am away from home - one of my primary reasons for getting a blackberry. It seems as though I need to use an Enterprise Account but I can't seem to get anywhere - every time I try to 'set up' an email address it's asking me for an email address & password which won't work and it's not giving me an option to go for an Enterprise Account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my work emails on my Blackberry for the last few months. Yesterday it asked me validate my account. I re-entered my password, but it said it couldn't connect, password/details were incorrect.
I have deleted the account, and tried to add it back in - but still comes with the same error. I can access Outlook Web Access on my laptop, so the connection details are definitely correct, but it wont let me link to my phone any more?
Not sure if this is linked to the problems this week, and therefore may work once everything is back to normal, or if there is another error?
My signature is not appended automatically while Replying and Forwarding an e-mail. For a newly composed e-mail it works.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen setting up the desktop software to sync with BB, a stage is reached asking for a source to be selected (Yahoo / Outlook / none / etc). As I am working with Outlook only, if I could I would select this for each, but it only appears as an option for 'Contacts'. For some reason Outlook is not offered as an option for either calendar or tasks. What is more odd is that I have successfully used the same BB and PC in the past with the Desktop software, but for some reason it just stopped working. I have tried removing and reinstalling both v5 and v6 without success. I suspect the problem might be the phone rather than the software - but heh, what do I know!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the same auto signature for over a year. Need to change the company name in that auto signature. I can make the change in the auto signature box, hit save, everything looks great. Except when I send messages it's still the old auto signature. If I go and click auto signature "off", the auto signature box goes away, everything looks great. Except when I send messages, the old auto signature is still being applied. I've reconciled, pulled the battery, did a quick on/off.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe recently upgraded my wife's Blackberry to a Curve 3G 9330. When we try to sync to Outlook (non-Exchange), we encounter an error with the contacts (address book). The Desktop Software simply indicates an "unknown error" - not particularly facilitate. We've narrowed it down to a potentially bad contact record on the Blackberry, but cannot find a way to delete it. The options menu will not come up on the Blackberry for this one record. We've try to sync the device by overwriting the contacts with new data from Outlook, but still get's the same error message. I cannot find any information on erasing/deleting the complete contact list on the Blackberry.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using curve 9300. I installed blackberry desktop sw and tried to sync my outlook contacts. The sw read all the 745 contacts and asked me to accept or reject. So when I clicked on accept, it just copied 4 items without any contact details and just crashed and gave an error msg "unknown error". I tried to delete those contacts and it's not allowing me to do so without giving any msg. I don't even get a delete msg on the bb. I even tried to press on menu when I go to the contacts and it won't appear on those particular records. I rebooted the pc and the phone and tried again and got "error encountered, error code 0x80040fb3". I even uninstalled the application and tried ver 4 & 5. The result is the same. I am stuck with those records and can't delete them. Further 740 contact that can't have on my blackberry.

Confirm Delivery yes/no
Confirm Read yes/no
Send Read Receipts yes/no
There is no mention of auto signature.
