BB Curve :: 9300 Unable To Sync With Outlook 2003 Contacts
Apr 13, 2011
I am using curve 9300. I installed blackberry desktop sw and tried to sync my outlook contacts. The sw read all the 745 contacts and asked me to accept or reject. So when I clicked on accept, it just copied 4 items without any contact details and just crashed and gave an error msg "unknown error". I tried to delete those contacts and it's not allowing me to do so without giving any msg. I don't even get a delete msg on the bb. I even tried to press on menu when I go to the contacts and it won't appear on those particular records. I rebooted the pc and the phone and tried again and got "error encountered, error code 0x80040fb3". I even uninstalled the application and tried ver 4 & 5. The result is the same. I am stuck with those records and can't delete them. Further 740 contact that can't have on my blackberry.
This error is encountered when ever I have the calander sync turned on. If it turn off the calander sync option then I have no problem with the contacts sync.I have been searching forums for this error and I found 1 that referenced the fact that if I had put any attachments in the Outlook calander such as meeting notes or PDF's that the Blueberry wouldn't sync. Is this true? I have many files attached to calendar dates.
Blackberry Curve 9320 | Blackberry Desktop Software (7.1 Bundle 1319) | Windows XP SP3 | Office 2003 SP3 Email stored in local pst file (no Exchange server)I'm trying to sync a specific Contacts folder from Outlook to the 9320. I do the following in the software:
- Organizer - Tick Contacts - Configure... - Sync direction: One way to your device only - Contacts account: Microsoft Outlook - Configure... | Outlook Profile: MS Exchange Settings (Only option) - Advanced...
At this point I get a message box twice:"WMS Idle: Rim.Desktop.exe - Unable To Locate Component This application has failed to start because BJABLR32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."Advance Contact Settings still opens so I:
- Folders tab - Select different contacts to sync - Add required mailbox - Change Default Folder - Close and Sync Organiser
Then I get:"Synchronization Error A program error occurred at line 1548 in .OIAccess.cpp. Please report this error by sending a log to technical support."It appears to try and transfer 3 items (there are 100+) but no contacts are transferred.I have reinstalled Blackberry software but the error remains. The missing file is part of Office 2003 SP3 but despite a reinstall of the Service Pack the file was not installed in ..WindowsSystem32 where it belongs.
When I try to sync with Outlook 2003 I get the error 'folder is no longer part of the system data source or the folder could not be found' I have spent the morning updating the BB desktop software which took hours even though the phone is straight out of the box, 250mb worth. The email sync tick box is also greyed out but the wireless sync work a dream no probs at all but I would like to get my contacts on there along with email folders and such.
When I try to synch my BB Tour 9630 with Outlook 2003 (I know, it's really old!) I get this error message: Microsoft Outlook Connector Error - No available message stores. What do I need to do - in laymen's terms please!
When I try to setup the Blackberry desktop to sync with Outlook calendar, the process works fine and it says I did it, but when I hit "finish," it acts as if I haven't done it yet and asks me to do the setup. Backup is working fine. This started when I upgraded a while ago. I just upgraded to version 6.6.6.43
I have just had an automatic upgrade of my BlackBerry software to 6.0, Bundle 2949. I can no longer sync to and fro Outlook 2003. I get a message telling me that my organiser data is not configured and when I try to reconfigure I get exactly the same message!
If I create calendar items on my PC using Outlook 2003, they sync to my Atrix running Android 2.3.4 without problems, but if I enter them on my Atrix (selecting the calendar that syncs, not the phone calendar), they never show up in my Outlook 2003 calendar.
I need to transfer contacts from my iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1, las version) to Outlook 2003 (Windows). Outlook is empty of contact, for it I need to transfer just one way. How can I do?
I have the updated ITunes and IPhone software for my IPhone 4. I have Outlook 2003. I sync via USB. My phone used to sync properly with ITunes, but now nothing seems to be synching. I've tried resetting my sync history, checking the box to replace the info on the phone with the Outlook calendar on my machine, checking and unchecking all calendars vs. choosing each one individually. Nothing has worked. I think I may have had to recreate my outlook pst file the last time this happened but can't remember how I did that.
The sync process between iPhone and Outlook 2003 does not add new appointments entered in Outlook to transfer to iPhone. I have tried all the steps in Apple Support including uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I have checked the boxes in iTunes - Device - Info - Advanced to "Replace information on this iPhone" "Calendars". Still no luck???
I'd like to send (and then keep synched) all my SGS2 contacts (including their email addresses) to Outlook 2003 on my PC. Sounds easy, eh?
Well, it works (over Bluetooth as well as USB), but somehow only the phone number(s) and some other details (postal address, company etc.) are stored in Outlook - but NOT the email addresses of my contacts!
IS it a known limitation? Is it due to the old version of Outlook? Is there a work-around?
I am running Windows XP SP3 with Outlook 2003. When the syncronisation between my phone (6303ci) runs OVI 2.2.0.241 sometimes hangs whilst preparing for calendar sync. After restarting the the PC entries within the Outlook calendar have lost the text within the entry. i.e. the entry itself still exists but any emailed notes within the file, attached files or links disappear in Outlook. This is very frustrating as meeting agenda and other notes are missing.
My Curve willl not Sync with outlook. I have tried removing the desktop software and reinstalling and now it will not install the latest version. This all occured because my calander would not sync and was requesting to sync with .ics file? instead of windows outlook.
We recently upgraded my wife's Blackberry to a Curve 3G 9330. When we try to sync to Outlook (non-Exchange), we encounter an error with the contacts (address book). The Desktop Software simply indicates an "unknown error" - not particularly facilitate. We've narrowed it down to a potentially bad contact record on the Blackberry, but cannot find a way to delete it. The options menu will not come up on the Blackberry for this one record. We've try to sync the device by overwriting the contacts with new data from Outlook, but still get's the same error message. I cannot find any information on erasing/deleting the complete contact list on the Blackberry.
My Blackberry has worked fine for 13 months. Today I looked up a contact in Outlook on my laptop and I only had 11 instead of the 1200+ I used to have. I still have all the contacts on my device. When I synced my device with my laptop it only synced those 11 contacts. I can't get the other 1200+ into Outlook on my computer. Help!
I synced a google calendar with my torch but now I am unable to sync my outlook contacts and calendar. The outlook stuff is more important and I would like to remove the Google info but it has set itself as my default service on my device. How to get rid of google?
I am new to the Blackberry game, having used Nokia smartphones mostly.I got a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 couple of days back. It came with OS 5 pre-installed. I got a BB plan activated with my provider (Airtel - www.airtel.in ) and got it to sync my work email, contacts and calendar using the BIS site. My employer uses Google Apps Premier Edition, so it was a rather painless process.Afterwards, I upgraded the device to OS6. Once the upgrade was complete, my emails started syncing automatically - nothing really needed from my side. But the Calendar and Contacts do not sync any more. I can see that the checkboxes for Calendar and Contacts are enabled both on the BIS site as well as the device, but they simply do not sync.
I have an 8350 nextel, outlook office 07 and desktop software version 6.0.1.18. I recently changes jobs and put my new information into my phone and I am now working from home so I have never needed this before. my email is sending and receiving no problem, my calendar is syncing perfectly but my contacts will not sync. the sync process seems to work from the software (it goes thru the motions) but when I look in outlook, no contactsI have looked around the net for possible solution and even tried most of the things I've seen...to no avail. I just want to get the contacts off my phone and into my outlook.
Have just acquired my first BB Curve 8520 and it's been a total nightmare, it will not sync Contacts from Outlook and although Bluetooth is set to my old Sony Ericsson it will not accept Contacts?
how to sync all my contacts, messages and pictures from my Nokia Ovi Suite to my Blackberry curve 9300. If this isnt possible, is there a way i can export it using another format?
I just got the Curve 9300. I can't seem to sync the contacts and calendar with my Mac's BB Desktop Manager. It shows the message, "... turn off wireless synchronization by opening Address Book on the device... etc." There isn't such an option available.
I have a new Blackberry Curve 8530. When I set it up, I was able to synchronize my Outlook calendar to the BB but not my contacts. I was unable to synchronize my contacts because it said my BB was set up for wireless synchronization. I tried to follow the instructions for truning off wireless synching, but when I go to options in my contacts there is no wireless synchronization field for me to change. What am I missing?
Also, I updated my operating system and now I am unable to sync my calendar. When I try to select the organizer data to synronize, it won't let me select calendar because it says that calendar is not installed (and it won't let me select address book because it says it is syncing wirelessly). I have reinstalled my BB Desktop software and I read on another post that gmail might be a problem so I no longer have my gmail account on my BB. When I open my BB Desktop manager on my computer, I get a message saying "unknown error reported," which is why I reinstalled my Destop software, but I still get this message after the reinstall.
When I try to sync the contact list from outlook I get the error "unable to read application Data". I can sync my calendar, tasks and memos from Outlook, but for some reason I have problems with the contacts. I have a Curve 8520
Everytime I try to set the synchronization settings of the OVI suite from "not synchronized" to synchronize contacts or calendar with my outlook 2003, OVI crashes, giving the following report:
I am on Win7 32bit, with a Nokia E72 on 031.023.203.04
I really need my phones contacts and appointments/calendar to be in synch with outlook! I never had such troubles with my E61 and E61i and the good old pc suite...
My iPhone 4 has been syncing my Outlook Calender perfectly until today. Now it wont sync in either direction and I cannot even force a sync from my computer to the phone. THis seems completely random as i can so no changes in my iTunes or iPhone configuration.
