Nokia :: Cant Install Pc Suite Mode Drivers Vista X64
May 5, 2010like the title suggests i cant install pc suite mode, it fails saying no such interface supported. is this a known issue? does anyone have any ideas on this.

Nokia :: N900 PC Suite Mode Fails / Drivers Needed?
Jan 26, 2010I have been trying to connect with Nokia PC suite but as I plug the N900 and select PC suite mode, windows xp asks for drivers for new found device.Reinstalling PC Suite didn't help.I used to have a N95 ... could this be interfering in some obscure way ? Reading Nokia web pages let me think drivers are included with the Nokia PC Suite.

Apr 17, 2010The installer stops after trying to install the files with an error like "Probem detected in the windows installation package. A program required for this installation could not be executed. Contact your technical support or the package editor". I am assuming this is a compatibility issue with SP2. PC suite has the same issue.

Problem: BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) occurs constantly.
I think the problem is the phone drivers (via cable). The program itself shouldn't be it.I made a system recovery, which worked. And my computer was restored. But when I tried once again the same problem occurred.
How can I use the phone with the computer without getting the BSOD?

Feb 25, 2010I have installed Nokia Suite twice (after first uninstalling it and removing all the drivers) and Nokia software update once, but neither product can see the phone connected by the USB cable. Windows is able to load some of the drivers, but depending on the time 3 or 4 of the 7 or 8 items windows tries to install fail. ie Nokia N86 USB LCIF fails, Nokia N86 USB Generic fails. Device manager has a flag on all phone related items, except for Nokia N86 USB Phone Parent. During the software installs the software sees a phone and asks for it to be removed before continuing with the install, which I comply with. So the software at least partially sees it. The phone is connected by the Nokia supplied cable directly to the motherboard in PC mode and this is a fresh (1 week old) install of Win 7 64.

Jan 7, 2010My N900 only seems to be able to connect to PC Suite in 'non-compatibility' mode.This mode doesnt allow me to use any of the PC suite applications.How do I change the mode to 'compatibility' mode, or the 'normal' mode so everything works!No options appear on the phone when the USB cable is connected for PC Suite, like it should do? The phone is automatically charged via the connection though.

Mar 14, 2010I used Ovi Suite to upgrade my ovi maps to 3.03 a few weeks ago when I got the phone. I installed maps for a few US states as well. Yesterday I wanted to add maps for another state. Ovi tells me I don't have maps installed on my phone. Then it says it needs to upgrade Ovi suite so I do that. Then it says it wants to install ovi maps on my phone. Ok, fine. Turns out it's trying to install version 3.01 on my phone which of course I don't want to, assuming 3.03 is better than 3.01. So what gives here? It seems I can only install ovi maps using the Ovi Suite, right? I send an email to Nokia but perhaps someone here knows the answer.

Aug 13, 2010I just got a new 7020 phone which came with an usb cable but no applications disk. I downloaded the latest ovi pc suite and tried to install it. After a bit it's installing I always receive a generic 1622 error and the installer quits. Stopped the avast antivirus and tried reinstalling, still no success. The computer is an acer laptop with a centrino processor, 512mb ram and windows xp sp3.

Jun 11, 2010Trying to get my N97 to connect up to my Win 7 laptop.Every time i try and connect through OVI, when attempting to reach connection it either states "N97 not in USB pc suitemode" (here i have told the phone to automatically connect in PC Suite) there is no problem seeing the phone on the machine thats fine, the main problem is OVI.

Mar 10, 2010I am unable to connect my E72 in PC suite mode via USB. It was working just fine earlier. The weird thing is that it works fine on Bluetooth. Other modes (Mass Storage) are working fine via USB. So USB port/wire is fine. The only thing that isn't working via USB is the PC Suite mode. I have tried selecting PC Suite mode in Settings> Connectivity> USB and also tried changing the Ask on connection option but it doesn't work. When I plugin my phone via usd, it prompts me to select the mode, if I select PC Suite it doesn't work, If I chose a mode other than PC suite, it works just fine.

Apr 21, 2010I got a msg today from Nokia saying there was an update for the 5800.
But I am unable to connect the phone to the computer in pc suite mode.
I updated the software on the computer as required by the update, but then it would not recognise the connection to the phone so I cant update it.
I can connect it mass storage mode, but as soon as I connect via PC Suite the usb connection dies. I am able to connect via bluetooth, but this doesn't help as it says I need to conect via PC Suite to receive the update.
How would I be able to connect the phone to the computer via PC Suite mode to get the upgrade?

Apr 20, 2011I downloaded the X10 Mini drivers to be able to debug using the Netbeans Android SDK addon. Now, how do I install them? I have the sa0101usb.inf file (and all the rest in the SEMC_Signed folder). I right-click and click Install, but I get the following error: "The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation". I have also tried "upgrading the driver" of "PHONE CARD" under "Portable Devices" in the Device Manager, but the driver does not seem compatible with the device (according to Windows).

I am completely unable to install OVI suite. The installation hangs every time. I have tried several times. Firstly from the installer that shipped with the phone (this just hung - no message), then from the most up to date version downloaded from the website. I have seen similar posts to this on the forum - most of which suggested uninstalling PC suite and then trying the install again. However, I have never had PC suite on this machine.

Mar 1, 2010On a number of occasions now I have found that my N900 becomes stuck in Mass Storage mode and I'm unable to change it to PC Suite mode. Things I try each time, removed data cable and plug it back in; clear USB devices; power N900 off and start again. Non seem to work and at some point in the future I'll get asked again and can swap mode. Is there a way on the N900 to make it change once connected?I know PC Suite is next to useless with the N900 but it is so much simpler doing appointments etc on the pc keyboard!

Both the lumia and the laptop have the latest versions of software etc, zune has only just been installed, and says there are no updates available, and the phone installed 2 updates when first connected, and now also says up to date.

Jun 18, 2010I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
