Recenty purchased an N97 mini -- great versatile little phone. Downloaded the free Joikuspot application that turns it into an Internet Access point (serving WiFi.) If I then try to make/answer a phone call at the same time, it reboots itself.Is this normal? Is the power supply not up to it? Or is it faulty? Happened twice so far.
View 5 RepliesIt's done it about four times in the past week. It's usually when i tap on a button or function on screen. Today was when i tried to activate wifi on power widget after i'd turned my phone on. It's been really laggy recently as well but i do have a few apps installed. It shouldn't be resetting itself though.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was loving the phone tll the screen started to freeze black during call. I tried all the buttons with no joy and the screen remained black after call. I had to remove the battery to reboot, this reset my time and date to 1980!
I've got to try using my phone for work today, old spare being repaired. I can't even hang up a call.
Each time I sync my 5800 NAM Xpressmusic with Ovi Suite, it resets all ringtones for either groups or individuals. I am not synchronizing all items. I am only synchronizing Contacts, Messaging, Calendar and Notes.

I'm not sure if this is common, but my n97 is running software version 20.2.019. I bought just recently and it was working fine for the first 2 months. Then i started having problems, like the usual resets and lags.
Lately my phone has been resetting more, my music is constantly corrupted, when i do play a podcast or a song it the audio will stop playing but the progress bar says the song is still going. I have also been having issues where when i restart my phone it doesn't recognize mass memory and all my media (photos, music) are gone. Backgrounds back to the original and all my apps on mass memory are gone. I check file manager and I it says memory in use. I also recieve Disk write error, retry or lose data message everytime i'm trying to download something into mass memory.
I don't really know what's going on with my phone, i've done the resets soft and hard and even reformatted my mass memory. I still get all these issues. It sees mass memory after a soft reset but then i turn off the phone and it doesn't detect it again. Is this normal with s60 v5? Or does my phone need to go back to nokia care?
I was one of the first to recieve a Nokia Luma 800. I was quite happy with it because I had wanted one since Nokia first announced they would build a Windows Phone.
During the software update to build 1600.2487.8107.12070, my phone froze. The update went well, but during the final restart, the screen just showed "Nokia". Eventually the batteries went dead, even thought the power cable was plugged in.
I brought the device to an official Nokia repair point, and got it back factory resetted. That first time it cost me half a day to restore my settings.
However, since that day, every now en then the phone just completely resets: I get to enter all my windows live account again and to reinstall all software. Today even installing software didn't work: I got an error message whenever I tried to install a program. I also noted an extra options in my settings page, starting with "@ApplicationsInstallfd7.." That time I manually restored my phone to factory settings, so I could reinstall everything again.
My guess is that it's either a hardware problem, or that the last software update failed. There doesn't seem to be an option to re-install the latest firmware, so I'm not able to check this.
When I reboot my phone, the volume sets itself to 20/30. I set it to 30/30 and reboot, it goes back to 20/30.
BTW, my phone has rebooted itself about 5 times since I got it on Friday.
My N97 keeps on resetting all the time, completely turns off by itself even when the battery is full the phone won't even turn on at time and my phone firmware is V20 and I want to update to V21 but is not letting me. I also have hard reseated the phone once and done soft reset multiple times.After getting it replaced once its still resetting more frequently than my other one before I got it replaced.

After this my N8 is getting reset everyday (at least one time per day). For example yesterday when I was driving using Nokia maps my phone was restarted in the middle of a city. Before this update I had no problems, I used my N8 weeks without getting a reset.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I don't, the phone will not change time zones (when I am traveling) and sometimes will not pass smoothly from cell tower to cell tower. It came to my attention while traveling with a companion who had an identical 4S, bought 4 weeks after I bought mine in December. Email delivery to the iphone also is effected. When I found I was not getting my emails, or even my phone calls I went back to the sprint store I bought it from for help. The Sprint staffer there performed a Network Reset which cured the problem for the time being.

Well a few minutes ago the phone reset itself and I look at the screen and I believe it said JUM ERROR, I could be wrong with this but it was something like this. It said continue below it so I pressed the track ball and now when it gets to the home screen it's not reading any pictures, messages, or phone numbers. I pulled the battery out, pulled the sim card, and mem card out and put them back in. Everything seems fine and I just got the phone about a month ago due to my other one effing up. Is there a way to reset it with certain combo of buttons or anything?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 9300 which I bought in January this year and from practically the first day I turned it on I've had problems with it. The phone freezes a lot and on a regular basis the phone just turns off and resist itself. I can be texting and look away and look back and the phoneheads just reset and it does this a couple of times day. Less than a month ago it was sent for a repair with Tesco (who I bought the phone from) and they sent it back saying that they couldn't find a fault on it. The phone still does the same and I've phoned tesco again and they have said that the only thing they can do is to send the phone to the repair shop again to be checked. What do you suggest I do as I need a phone that works and cannot just keep sending it to be repaired to be told there isn't a fault over and over again.

Definitely something to consider when you're toggling that switch because I've noticed some what significant battery lost and it's always scanning on that mode.

I have a new iPhone 4S that has developed the habit of shutting off randomly by itself. When I pick it up after it has been on standby for a while, the buttons are not responsive, then after a few more tries I get the apple logo, which I presume means the phone is resetting itself. It concerns me, since my family and I keep in touch via texting during the day, so if the phone has shut off, they can't reach me and I don't know that they are trying to.
I took it to the genius bar today, and they suggested I do a restore. My concern is that some of the games I have accumulated a lot of points in will be set back to zero. I have tried the regular reset procedure by holding down the button and swiping the 'shut off' option

I'm worried that it somehow contracted a virus, or the phone's security software has been compromised. Is there any way to wipe the handset without the phone being powered on 100% (via the keypad or something)? The phone is under 3 months old and should be covered by the manufacturer's warranty - but until I get this fixed, I have no phone to use.

So every time I play Temple Run the background scroll resets itself. I don't have this problem with any other apps (I must say I didn't try that much apps yet though)

I would hope Apple doesn't configure the phones to quit BEFORE most people can upgrede or IMMEDIATELY AFTER the warranty runs out. Â

I just got a 8530 from work and the second I plug it into my pc by the USB cord, it shuts the phone off and the red led comes on. Then the white spinning clocks comes on and then back to the red led and keeps resetting. It does this on both curves we just purchased for work. Same PC works without a hitch for a 9550 and a 9630 same usb cord. As soon as I remove the usb cord from the curves, they boot up fine. Any help would be nice.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy BB Curve 9300 is reseting every time it connects to my Car handsfree speaking system via bluetooth. (Only if the phone is in locked state). I have a VW Golf and I didn't had this problem with the 2647 bundle version. After the update to Bundle 2949 my BB phone does this anyoing reset, it does the initial connection and when the information should be displayed which bluetooth functionality is enabled, it does the reset, after the reset it connects without issue. The only way to stop this behavior is to unlock the phone before I start my car. I did try to delete the paired device connection and establish a new one, but this did not change the behavior. what I can do? The last step would be going back to 2647 ....
