I was one of the first to recieve a Nokia Luma 800. I was quite happy with it because I had wanted one since Nokia first announced they would build a Windows Phone.
During the software update to build 1600.2487.8107.12070, my phone froze. The update went well, but during the final restart, the screen just showed "Nokia". Eventually the batteries went dead, even thought the power cable was plugged in.
I brought the device to an official Nokia repair point, and got it back factory resetted. That first time it cost me half a day to restore my settings.
However, since that day, every now en then the phone just completely resets: I get to enter all my windows live account again and to reinstall all software. Today even installing software didn't work: I got an error message whenever I tried to install a program. I also noted an extra options in my settings page, starting with "@ApplicationsInstallfd7.." That time I manually restored my phone to factory settings, so I could reinstall everything again.
My guess is that it's either a hardware problem, or that the last software update failed. There doesn't seem to be an option to re-install the latest firmware, so I'm not able to check this.
I have a problem with my new Z5 phone. It keeps rebooting itself. Sometimes i see information about optimizing 81 applications and after that ... reboot. After reboot the red diode blinks, 3 short blinks and one long. Can I do something or is it a faulty unit ?
After the 5.1.1 update u changed something in the dialer so when you press any number or contact it call immediately. Have the option to remove it plz bcz sometimes when the phon is in my pocket it Calls people randomly.
I've recently noticed that whenever I disconnect my bluetooth device from my phone, it changes back to the default volume on Sound, rather than staying on Silent or on the lowest volume I had set on the Sound profile when I connected the bluetooth device ...
I've come into work on a few occasions after disconnecting my bluetooth headset, only for the phone to ring when a call comes through, despite having the phone on Silent before leaving the house when I connected the headset ...
This issue has been happning for a while, but for the last week or so it has been happening more frequently. A phone call arrives and sends the phone into a reset, similar to what QuickPull would do. No open apps, no error message, it just resets.I have searched a bit, but have not found anyone posting a similar issue so far. I run the stock T-Mobile OS, and a few extra RIM and 3rd party apps.
My 3 day old Z3 rebooted to factory settings while having it in my pocket. I was out for a five hours walk and have used it serveral times during the walk to take photos. They were stored on the SD card. Battery was on 73%. At the end of my trip I noticed it asked for my pin code to unlock the sim card. I used my newly set pincode for simcard and it worked fine. The telephone was set up with screenlock as well, but that has disapeared together with all my installed programs and my photos and videos on the SD card.
Because my phone was quite spoiled during the time, i decided to do a factory reset. I connected my Z3 (5.1.1. / / 23.4.A.0.546) to the PC (Win10) and resetted the device by using PC Companion.
The reset took some time, and, because i wanted to restart all over again, i decided to manually restore the app-collection (so i turned off the auto-restore option in my google-account).
I've been busy with this during the day, and last night I turned my phone off and connected it to the powercharger.
I recently updated my Neo v to ICS...I wasnt able to see songs album images in music player...so i did factory reset...music player problem is solved but now my cell is consuming too much of battery then before... Also google market is not opening...internet browser is slow.
I just purchased a Xperia Z3+ dual and the first time I turned it on with both sim cards it was working fine. Then for some reason the second sim stopped working on the 2G gsm network. I factory restored the phone and it worked again. The thing is that yesterday as soon as I activated the Find my xperia service the 2nd sim stopped working again.
I went to the store yesterday to play with the torch. I like it a lot and will probably upgrade from my 9000. however, I dont like the lock (rather, the unlock) and the sales guy said he didn't know of an answer for me.
in short, you lock it by hitting the button on the top left. no worries. however, to unlock, you either open the slider or hit the lock button again. this is not a very "positive" way of unlocking, if you ask me. its quick and easy, but not a very good way to keep the phone locked in your pocket or whatever. I can easily see me bumping the unlock button when the phone's in my pocket and dialing or browsing or any number of functions from touch enable home screen. I dont think the slide is likely to open in a cargo pocket, but the button could definetely get pushed. for those of yall that have had one for a while, am I missing something? is there a way to "override" this and make it so it only unlocks when you manually do something?
When someone calls me and the phone in my pocket it mutes while I'm walking. I opened the setting and disabled (Quiet ring on pickup , Pocket mode , Auto answer calls) and i found something on setting called (Flip to mute) , i want to disable it too but i can't ! , it's options are (Mute once , Always Mute)...
i have noticed when i take my x10 out of my pocket(locked) it has opened some of the apps installed on it eg the browser, ebay link it even rang my daughter.Being as you know you have to press the button then swipe the screen how is this happening?i do not want to change it but i can not have it doing this
Recently my phone has been resetting itself. It doesn't do it every day, but the screen will go white and then everything will come back up ok. Well a few minutes ago the phone reset itself and I look at the screen and I believe it said JUM ERROR, I could be wrong with this but it was something like this. It said continue below it so I pressed the track ball and now when it gets to the home screen it's not reading any pictures, messages, or phone numbers. I pulled the battery out, pulled the sim card, and mem card out and put them back in. Everything seems fine and I just got the phone about a month ago due to my other one effing up. Is there a way to reset it with certain combo of buttons or anything?
Just thought I would share this, thought it was kinda of funny. So in my sons room he has a older TV/VCR combo, a sylvania tube model. Well, strangely when I walk into his room with the phone in my pocket or in my hand, the TV turns on? I believe it's when it is sending data back and forth, b/c it only seems to happen then. It only turns on that TV, the others in the house don't respond at all. My 4yr old gets a kick out of it.
About 3 times a day it unlocks and calls somebody up. Well it's not a software fault, it's just because I hit a button and the inside of my pocket just touches the screen and it unlocks. I saw on the xperia you have to slide your finger to unlock it, that would do the trick.
I have had my S5 for about a month or two now and have been having a problem with the screen waking in my pocket. I'm guessing the home or power button is being pressed which is fine but I need the screen to turn back off in a reasonable amount of time. There is a setting called "Screen timeout" but no "Lock screen timeout" like I used to have on my S3. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like both the screen timeout and the lock screen timeout are both controlled by this one setting. Just about every 20 minutes I feel my pocket getting hot and sure enough, the screen has been on for who knows how long.
I use tap to wake feature. I keep my phone in pocket and when I take it out the display is on. My guess would be that phone is not able to detect that it's inside pocket and tap to wake feature powers the display on.
It's done it about four times in the past week. It's usually when i tap on a button or function on screen. Today was when i tried to activate wifi on power widget after i'd turned my phone on. It's been really laggy recently as well but i do have a few apps installed. It shouldn't be resetting itself though.
This recently started happening. I will be walking with my phone in my pocket and it is locked, but suddenly my music will pause for no apparent reason. I look at my phone and nothing has happened except my music is now paused. I didn't even touch my headphones. It happens around 3 times every time I take a 30 minute walk. It is so irritating to have your music abruptly stop. One time it went completely haywire and the voice dialer came up and the volume cranked itself all the way up and the robotic google voice nearly damaged my ear drums. Now sometimes the voice dialer comes up once it pauses, but very rarely. It will normally just pause randomly.
I use to believe it was my pocket pausing the music because the touch screen is very terrible on this phone and would skip my music when I was walking but I've since flipped my phone the other way in my pocket so thats not possible.
I've turned off all the gestures, motions, airview, etc.
One of the things I thought would be really amazing about having a Motoactv would be to check text messages without having to take my phone out of my pocket or backpack if I was on my motorcycle (not while moving.) Unfortunately I cannot seem to receive any of them on my Motoactv. I use a Droid X2 and use Handcent as my text messaging client. Is anyone else having similar issues??
I just got a 8530 from work and the second I plug it into my pc by the USB cord, it shuts the phone off and the red led comes on. Then the white spinning clocks comes on and then back to the red led and keeps resetting. It does this on both curves we just purchased for work. Same PC works without a hitch for a 9550 and a 9630 same usb cord. As soon as I remove the usb cord from the curves, they boot up fine. Any help would be nice.
I've just now experienced this in the course of fixing another issue.
Normally in spite of how much i change ROMS whenever I set time manually and uncheck network derived time the date/ time maintains across restarts, now it doesnt.
What I did so far:
clean ROM not dirty flashed switching between stock OMNI and Minux OMNI all combinations of option in date/ time settings while
Each and everytime after reset the date time is 13 Aug 1970. Even if is set to automatic that date briefly appears before a connection to the net is made.
When I'm at the home screen of my Xperia Ray, the background won't move while scrolling, because I chose this option via the Wallpaper Wizardrii app. Now, when I open up Temple Run and close it, the background is still the same but it scrolls again. So every time I play Temple Run the background scroll resets itself. I don't have this problem with any other apps (I must say I didn't try that much apps yet though)
I haven't figured out why but when I have music playing while the phone is in my pocket, it seems to preview or skip songs after a couple seconds. Does it have something to do with my trouser snake messing with the touch screen?
It makes that beeping noise when songs change the moment it's in my pocket. I thought the screen was finger touch sensitive. What's going on? How do I stop this?
