View 24 Replies View RelatedIf you have the phone plugged in, is there any way to set it so the screen doesn't go to sleep? Basically I have the Clock on to run the timer, and I would like it to stay up and not dose off in the middle somewhere.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo as well all know, AT&T uses a ridiculous set of cellular frequencies that not only produces a lower signal (compared to Verizon,) but also puts a lovey "DA DA, DA DA, DAT DAT DAT DAAAA!!!!" sound in my speakers! (GSM interference) I've tried the tricks with the little things you put on your speaker cables to catch the stray RF noise but they did not help and I am SICK of this stupid sound that gets transmitted into every set of speakers I have.
The only way to fix this is to shut off the cellular network by putting the iPhone into airplane mode. Then, I can play music from my iPod and not have the stupid interference playing as well. The only problem is, now I can't stream online music like Pandora, etc because Airplane mode shuts off my WiFi? So is there any way I can shut off the phone, but leave on the WiFi?
I haven't figured out why but when I have music playing while the phone is in my pocket, it seems to preview or skip songs after a couple seconds. Does it have something to do with my trouser snake messing with the touch screen?
It makes that beeping noise when songs change the moment it's in my pocket. I thought the screen was finger touch sensitive. What's going on? How do I stop this?
I went to the store yesterday to play with the torch. I like it a lot and will probably upgrade from my 9000. however, I dont like the lock (rather, the unlock) and the sales guy said he didn't know of an answer for me.
in short, you lock it by hitting the button on the top left. no worries. however, to unlock, you either open the slider or hit the lock button again. this is not a very "positive" way of unlocking, if you ask me. its quick and easy, but not a very good way to keep the phone locked in your pocket or whatever. I can easily see me bumping the unlock button when the phone's in my pocket and dialing or browsing or any number of functions from touch enable home screen. I dont think the slide is likely to open in a cargo pocket, but the button could definetely get pushed. for those of yall that have had one for a while, am I missing something? is there a way to "override" this and make it so it only unlocks when you manually do something?
When someone calls me and the phone in my pocket it mutes while I'm walking. I opened the setting and disabled (Quiet ring on pickup , Pocket mode , Auto answer calls) and i found something on setting called (Flip to mute) , i want to disable it too but i can't ! , it's options are (Mute once , Always Mute)...

The issue is that I have my phone in my pocket and I am walking in the street.
When I need to use my phone, I just noticed that it has factory reset itself.
when This happen, I am not able to make any call till I connect to a Wifi Network to perform some configuration.
Just thought I would share this, thought it was kinda of funny. So in my sons room he has a older TV/VCR combo, a sylvania tube model. Well, strangely when I walk into his room with the phone in my pocket or in my hand, the TV turns on? I believe it's when it is sending data back and forth, b/c it only seems to happen then. It only turns on that TV, the others in the house don't respond at all. My 4yr old gets a kick out of it.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAbout 3 times a day it unlocks and calls somebody up. Well it's not a software fault, it's just because I hit a button and the inside of my pocket just touches the screen and it unlocks. I saw on the xperia you have to slide your finger to unlock it, that would do the trick.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my S5 for about a month or two now and have been having a problem with the screen waking in my pocket. I'm guessing the home or power button is being pressed which is fine but I need the screen to turn back off in a reasonable amount of time. There is a setting called "Screen timeout" but no "Lock screen timeout" like I used to have on my S3. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like both the screen timeout and the lock screen timeout are both controlled by this one setting. Just about every 20 minutes I feel my pocket getting hot and sure enough, the screen has been on for who knows how long.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to control music so that if my Turbo is in my pocket, I can speak something like "Ok Google, next track."?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis recently started happening. I will be walking with my phone in my pocket and it is locked, but suddenly my music will pause for no apparent reason. I look at my phone and nothing has happened except my music is now paused. I didn't even touch my headphones. It happens around 3 times every time I take a 30 minute walk. It is so irritating to have your music abruptly stop. One time it went completely haywire and the voice dialer came up and the volume cranked itself all the way up and the robotic google voice nearly damaged my ear drums. Now sometimes the voice dialer comes up once it pauses, but very rarely. It will normally just pause randomly.
I use to believe it was my pocket pausing the music because the touch screen is very terrible on this phone and would skip my music when I was walking but I've since flipped my phone the other way in my pocket so thats not possible.
I've turned off all the gestures, motions, airview, etc.
One of the things I thought would be really amazing about having a Motoactv would be to check text messages without having to take my phone out of my pocket or backpack if I was on my motorcycle (not while moving.) Unfortunately I cannot seem to receive any of them on my Motoactv. I use a Droid X2 and use Handcent as my text messaging client. Is anyone else having similar issues??

I was hoping with OS 4.0 that I'd be able to keep Pocket Tunes (Internet radio) running while using other apps. If I'm listening to pocket Tunes, I double tapped the home button, and if i scroll to another app, pocket tunes stops playing? I thought that multiple tasking meant this would not happen??

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't take my phone into where I work b/c its a secure facility where absolutely no electronic devices (no beepers, no phones, etc) can come in, but its getting too hot here to leave it in my car all day. Any thoughts on what to do? There's a lot on line about not leaving the phone in a hot car but not many suggestions as to what to do with it!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI own a pair of Audio-Technica MTH-50 headphones that sound great with the iPhone. The one problem is that the input is large, and needs to fit flush against the phone. I like to have my phone in a case, so I can't really use the headphones unless I'm willing to leave my phone unprotected.
I've received about getting around this is a simple headphone adapter, which would plug in to the top of the phone, then allow me to plug my phones in above the case.
This seems impractical, as I don't think the trade-off is worth it. I wouldn't, however, mind it if I could add an extra feature. So is there a headphone adaptor/extender out there includes a remote for basic volume / play / track functions?

If it's not safe to leave an iPhone in the car, even turned off, what do I do? Leave it home? If I carry it around all day, I'll worry about it and if I leave it in the car (trunk). I'll worry. Options? I could leave it in an EMPTY (no ice) cooler.
