My 8520 is totally frozen and will not respond to either soft or hard resets, it simply boots to the initial page and then hangs. I have the iBerry 4 theme loaded? Is there a reset button on the back below the battery ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedQuick question on build 71 and I am having all sort of issues with batteryand emails not syncing. I've done the hard reset but i reinstall everything from scratch or do i restore from a back up. or is that encouraging more problems.reset done so back to where i was, went in to windows account and cant see the apps which have downloaded in the past, im sure in the past you could resend it to the phone maybe i'm thinking of the 8.1 software. so not really sure if i should restore from a back up of yesterday or download apps all again, massive pain if its the latter.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy friend is a repairman at a Sprint repair store and he was gonna put the latest rom with sense 2.5 on my TP2. Well apon arriving, he warned me against it due to the fact he woke up this a.m. and the phone had done a hard reset overnight. Anyone else have this annomoly? I want to wait till all the bugs are out. Other news is he was told by Sprint that our version of 6.5 upgrade would be ready soon. I asked why the long wait. He said our version was the 6.5.3. I hope this is true as it would be worth the wait.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis issue has been happning for a while, but for the last week or so it has been happening more frequently. A phone call arrives and sends the phone into a reset, similar to what QuickPull would do. No open apps, no error message, it just resets.I have searched a bit, but have not found anyone posting a similar issue so far. I run the stock T-Mobile OS, and a few extra RIM and 3rd party apps.
View 10 Replies View RelatedRecently my phone has been resetting itself. It doesn't do it every day, but the screen will go white and then everything will come back up ok. Well a few minutes ago the phone reset itself and I look at the screen and I believe it said JUM ERROR, I could be wrong with this but it was something like this. It said continue below it so I pressed the track ball and now when it gets to the home screen it's not reading any pictures, messages, or phone numbers. I pulled the battery out, pulled the sim card, and mem card out and put them back in. Everything seems fine and I just got the phone about a month ago due to my other one effing up. Is there a way to reset it with certain combo of buttons or anything?

View 8 Replies View RelatedIn two days, I had this issue Twice.
The issue is that I have my phone in my pocket and I am walking in the street.
When I need to use my phone, I just noticed that it has factory reset itself.
when This happen, I am not able to make any call till I connect to a Wifi Network to perform some configuration.
I just got a 8530 from work and the second I plug it into my pc by the USB cord, it shuts the phone off and the red led comes on. Then the white spinning clocks comes on and then back to the red led and keeps resetting. It does this on both curves we just purchased for work. Same PC works without a hitch for a 9550 and a 9630 same usb cord. As soon as I remove the usb cord from the curves, they boot up fine. Any help would be nice.

I've just now experienced this in the course of fixing another issue.
Normally in spite of how much i change ROMS whenever I set time manually and uncheck network derived time the date/ time maintains across restarts, now it doesnt.
What I did so far:
clean ROM not dirty flashed
switching between stock OMNI and Minux OMNI
all combinations of option in date/ time settings while
Each and everytime after reset the date time is 13 Aug 1970. Even if is set to automatic that date briefly appears before a connection to the net is made.
I've never had a problem before, and now out of the blue it restarts itself every time I try to send out a text. This is highly annoying and inconvenient and I really have no clue how to stop it. My trackball is also jammed, but I don't think they're related at all.

I know there is no way in contacting blackberry support without paying with money i dont have.. But am hoping that some blackberry profesionals actualy go on the forums sometimes.Firstly is there anyway to contact someone who really knows something about the device. correct me if im wrong but if we could talk to the people who made the device they would for sure know exactly wat is wrong with the device and be a huge help.

Any ideas on what to do. there is no fix for this error any where on the web and have only read of it happening to two different people.
Basically my K850i, has always remembered the time + date when I've removed the battery for a short period of time. However recently this no longer work, which is really annoying.I don't know how it used to remember it, but is it a capacitor and could this be broken? Or is there a smaller battery inside.Real time clock says 'ok' but I'm clueless as to what that means!

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
I tried to root my phone but couldn't root properly so need to reset my phone completely ....

I have lost my password and I want to know if it is possible to retrieve my password without resetting my phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn every single call the phone resets the in call volume to max. I set the volume to the lowest in every call but phone resets it back to maximum volume in next call automatically.
It's a horrible nuisance to reduce the volume each time and my ear now hurts badly. Though I reduce the volume each time, the first one or two sounds are still loud before volume reduction. Â
I set it to finger print unlock and within 45 seconds of setting the lock I tried to reopen my phone and it didn't recognize my fingerprint. No big deal, that's why we have the secondary password right? Nope. It said incorrect password every. Single. Time. Which it can't POSSIBLY be incorrect because me being the small brained blonde that I am only use 3 possible passwords at any given time as it is!!!!
So I got onto the device manager and for the first few days was not able to lock it because it was already locked....so I left it for a few days. NOW I am currently on the device manager and the option to lock the phone WILL let me set a new lock on the phone....so I tried it. I go to punch in the password on the screen of my phone and it still says it is incorrect. I have now tried this at least 5 times using the most simple passwords and it still says it is incorrect.
I just sold my iPhone 5S and plan to buy the new phone when it comes out. Before reseting, I set my number to forward calls to another phone. Then I reset, removing all data, etc with it set to forward my calls (which it does).Â
When the new buyer activates the phone with a new sim card, will my forward call setting be visible to him?Â

My N73 has been slow for some time, so I've been browsing these pages for a solution. This is what I've done so far: -
I changed my log history to one dayI moved all contacts and messages to my memory cardI reset the phone to factory defaults (my code was 11111 as default btw, not 12345 as suggested).
After powering up my newly restored handset I'm saddened to say that it's just as slow as before and is driving me nuts! Does anybody have any other ideas I could try?
Just purchased the HTC M8 phone and its great...........apart from one thing:
Every so often but at least once/twice a day the screen goes blank and i can't unlock the phone without resetting (Volume + and Power Button) ...
I recently reset my phone to factory mode and lost all my pictures. I need to recover those photos.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a new phone and set fingerprint password. It didn't really work so I got rid of it and just used a PIN. Now that I got my scanner fixed I want to use it again but it needs the backup password which I don't have. I tried scanning my finger and it didn't work. It will not let me scan again and is asking for the backup password for it to be able to open. I am not locked out of my phone rather I just need the backup password to change some settings. I would like to know if there is a way to reset the backup password without resetting my phone and keep in mind I am not locked out and still have full access just not the backup password?

I can't get past the checking connection stage on my phone. I live behind great CHinese Firewall. When I first got the phone I set it up at work which has a VPN-ized network. I waited until my holidays (now) to unlock, root, etc.
However, I do not have access to vpns that are router based - only computer based. I can't seem to share these connections to get the Nexus to register and check a connection - phone times out rather than taking suggested 2 minutes. I can't seem to skip the process either. I CAn't get back to work at the moment so I am left with 'Couldn't connect to the Internet' message and of course LTE won't work either as it's behind the great firewall.
How to gain access to my phone?
So I'm having a few problems with my iPhone. About 30 hours ago, I dropped my phone into a full sink. It was immersed for probably one or two seconds. I made the mistake of trying to turn it on right away, and it started spazzing - i.e. the startup apple icon screen would come on repeatedly and for a while the screen was flickering.
I looked online and followed people's advice of turning it off, letting the battery die, and leaving it in a cool place to dry. Since this morning the phone has been in a bag of rice drying off. I tried plugging it in tonight (impatiently) and to my delight the phone revived itself after charging for about half an hour. I synced it with my iTunes and sent one or two texts with no problems. But almost immediately my signal went down to no bars and I lost 3G connection.
Since then, it was displaying "Searching..." at the top of the screen, and got bursts of connection enough to receive two texts. Literally I would turn my phone on and all the bars would be there, along with 3G, then within a few seconds no bars again. For the last while it's just said "No Service."
I tried resetting the network settings to no avail, took the sim card out and cleaned it lightly with an eraser, nothing. When I go to "Carrier" under settings, it "searches" for, then finds (after a few minutes), my wireless network, but as soon as I leave the page my connection disappears again.
My question is- does anyone know if water damage can cause this particular kind of problem? Even though my phone is working perfectly otherwise (besides a somewhat mottled, water-spotted screen), is it possible that something within the phone was damaged that will not allow me to get a connection? Or could it be the sim card that is damaged?
