View 4 Replies View RelatedWell i have a problem with my nokia 5530 Xpressmusic , today i put it to recharge and when it was finished the i couldn't unblock the phone , so i restart it and then it goes mad , the phone signal is off and i cannot access some part of the phone like settings and other stuff , and after some minutes he freezes and i cannot do anything so i have to restart it again .I don't know exactly the problem but this is what is happening , what can i do? please help because i need very much the phone i don't have other one and i expect some calls ... but if the phone doesn't work i can't do anything ... please tell me that is an solution for this ...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI really want to get this phone on a 24-month long contract but I have done some research on the web and it seems that this faults with this phone are very common.I dunno if all phones have common faults associated with them, or if the Nokia 5530 has more common faults than usual. Also, are there any known-faults and are they easily fixed? I was wondering what the reputation for this phone is here on this forum.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought my 5530 xpressmusic a couple of weeks ago. and it works just fine with me. until last week, the network operator logo at the top of homescreen disappeared as well as the date and my current profile setting. the only thing left at the top is the signal bar, time, and the battery bar.my friends call me often and i seem to have no problem with taking incoming calls, so i just left my homescreen that way. last night, when i tried to call my mom's phone an error showed up and it says "Emergency Calls Only". must've accidently clicked something to make it that way, but i dont know what. what should i do?

1. The phone always keeps connecting to my GPRS network (Tele2). When I go to the connections I can see that connection being active and transferring some data (not much, it's almost always at 7 kb). When I put my phone on the table I can hear that strange radio sound on the speakers (=some radio activity from my phone). I checked but there are no other programs that require the connection. I'm not using any email account on the messages menu.
2. Same thing happened when I connected to my neighbour's wlan. It always keeps connecting to it, even after I go to the wlan menu and disconnect it. It just refreshes and goes all the way again to connect to it by any means possible.
Sorry if this was asked before.I am trying to Convert some of my movies from avi to mp4 to play on the mobile and wish to ask you the following.What would be the optimal settings (of the following) for the 5530 with it's 360 x 640 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio:
1) Video Size, should it be same as screen resolution or something like 320x240?
2) Frame rate, should it be 30 or is 15 good enough?
3) Should i set the aspect ratio to 16:9 or leave it intact?
4) Change the bitrate or leave it as it is?
I could leave them in avi but each of them ranges from 600 mb to 4 gb.I am looking for good to excellent video quality and average to small size.
When i made a call or received a call my phone shut down by itself .any solution for this problem?

The problem is, I formatted my handset a month ago but now when I check the Memories, it says Phone Memory 1.3 MB Free (Almost Full) while my Memory card's memory is doing good. how to tackle with this situation? Because when I connect my phone to PC and check the Phone Memory, I only find files sizing 89 kb.
View 9 Replies View RelatedGot the phone in trade, so no warranty...Phone works perfectly fine before any of this happens. Basically got the nokia software, updated ect. Go to update the firmware and do what the instructions says. It downloads the firmware and starts to install...halfway through says cable disconnected. Clearly it is not, but i do what the instructions says to reconnect it. It tells me to disconnect, take out batter, reinsert usb then battery and then hit retry. Works, but same problem, halfway thought it "disconnects". After trying this about 5 times i give up. I hit cancel. Now the phone is dead, nothing, can't hard reset, can't turn on. NOTHING.Currently have the phone without battery as someone online (googled) had similar situation and he left the phone for 6hours and it magically worked again...i don't think it will work but i have to try...

That's a pity because some of the stuff on offer is really attractive!Is there no way to simply have the apps downloaded to my PC and then transfer them (as .sis files?) by cable to my phone for installation? My SIM was still in the phone when I did the restore and after it restored and restarted it still had my number when I clicked on "iPhone" in iTunes. Even without the SIM it still reads my number, is this because the phone was automatically activated with the SIM in it after the restore?
Will I be ok as long as I take the SIM out?
selling 3gs tonight Ive read all the posts about the best way to prepare. cant I simply erase my email, notes etc and then give it to him.
when he syncs i know it will erase the apps pics etc but will it erase the base band unlock and hte jb itself?
Or should i restore to 3.1.2 an re jb/reunlock and then make sure i don't restore from backup then when he syncs even though it has cydia on it already it will still be a new phone according to his itunes when he syncs?
What is the deal wiht my baseband. im still on 07 something. if i just do a restore from my saved 3.1.2 on pc that wont affect my baseband since i never upgraded. so am i good?
I'm prepping my 3GS for selling. I just did:
1) Erase all content and settings.
2) Then I put it in DFU mode, and restored to 3.1.3 (the only SHSH I have on file).
3) Then I jailbroke with spirit.
4) Then I ran the spirit2pwn hack.
5) Then I restored to a custom pwned 4.0 firmware.
6) Then when it was done, the iphone screen says "iPhone is now activated", and on the computer I was at the screen to set up as a new phone or restore from backup.
7) I do neither of those things and then unplug the phone from the computer. Loaded up cydia and installed ultrasn0w.
8) Rebooted the device.
9) On the iPhone, went into settings -> General -> Store, and logged out of my iTunes account. (Don't know why it was even logged into that)
Am I all set to sell it? And how had it gotten logged into my iTunes if I never set up the phone? Maybe when it "activated" it does?
I sold my iPhone4 to stay with my 3GS. ATT said I need to get a new sim to keep my 3GS since I had to activate my iPhone4 which wiped out my old sim. Do I ship the iPhone4 with the micro-sim or no?

I was thinking maybe because I was using slideshow as my wallpaper or because it had too many songs and pictures. Is it because of those? Is it normal? But I actually don't think it's normal because it restarts like twice or thrice a day.
