I am posting here because all of a sudden, 3 days after purchasing the phone (Nokia 5530 XpressMusic), it will no longer charge. I plug the charging cable into the phone but nothing happens ! (I charged the phone yesterday and everything was working fine).

So the update is available for the UK phones and I updated my 5530 to the v.20 firmware. Unlike what most users say that the phone is faster, I dont really find that to be the case. When I startup, it takes awhile longer. Sometimes the wallpaper appears and then disappears and then reappears again with the contacts bar and everything. The problem really seems to be the home screen. Every time I go back to the home screen or click on menu, theres a black line in the center, a flash n nothing happens or a flash n it works. Sometimes, the flash is not there and the menu just opens up. I dont really know how to explain that, but I hope uve got an idea of what i'm saying. I'm wondering if I should soft reset.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've just got my 5530 XM.. only one bug about battery.. after full charge it stays only about 8 hours having the full bars then it goes to only one bar and notify me that battery is low then switching off after only 8 hours of normal work (most of time doing nothing in standby mode)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my S6 the week it came out, so I've had it for a decent amount of time, without any problems until last week. One day I experienced a sharp battery drain, and plugged it in my PC to charge. To my surprise it wouldn't charge! It shows that it's charging, but it wont go up in charge. The only way to charge it now is with its own fast charger. I fiddled with it a bit, (cleared cache, uninstalled apps, etc. ) and I can say the battery drain problem seems to be fixed for now. But I'm still unable to charge it up via the PC (or a laptop) USB port.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy nexus 5 sometimes shows 1hours 40 minutes which is the exact time it should charge from 0 to 100 but sometimes it shows 3 hrs sometimes 2hr sometimes 6 hrs.I have a sony 5000 mah power bank. when i connect my nexus 5 to that with nexus 5 usb cable it still shows the same problem. I have connected a couple of chargers but still same problem.

I have: replaced the battery, do not use Bluetooth, do not scan for wireless networks, cleaned the battery poles, removed the memory card on a trial basis, updated the firmware to the latest version. What else can I do besides return it to Nokia?
Our last nokia phones outlasted their shells over 5 years before we decided to replace them. This e51 has been great until now. Considering moving to another manufacturer.
Well i have a problem with my nokia 5530 Xpressmusic , today i put it to recharge and when it was finished the i couldn't unblock the phone , so i restart it and then it goes mad , the phone signal is off and i cannot access some part of the phone like settings and other stuff , and after some minutes he freezes and i cannot do anything so i have to restart it again .I don't know exactly the problem but this is what is happening , what can i do? please help because i need very much the phone i don't have other one and i expect some calls ... but if the phone doesn't work i can't do anything ... please tell me that is an solution for this ...

Also, are there any known-faults and are they easily fixed? I was wondering what the reputation for this phone is here on this forum.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought my 5530 xpressmusic a couple of weeks ago. and it works just fine with me. until last week, the network operator logo at the top of homescreen disappeared as well as the date and my current profile setting. the only thing left at the top is the signal bar, time, and the battery bar.my friends call me often and i seem to have no problem with taking incoming calls, so i just left my homescreen that way. last night, when i tried to call my mom's phone an error showed up and it says "Emergency Calls Only". must've accidently clicked something to make it that way, but i dont know what. what should i do?

1. The phone always keeps connecting to my GPRS network (Tele2). When I go to the connections I can see that connection being active and transferring some data (not much, it's almost always at 7 kb). When I put my phone on the table I can hear that strange radio sound on the speakers (=some radio activity from my phone). I checked but there are no other programs that require the connection. I'm not using any email account on the messages menu.
2. Same thing happened when I connected to my neighbour's wlan. It always keeps connecting to it, even after I go to the wlan menu and disconnect it. It just refreshes and goes all the way again to connect to it by any means possible.
Sorry if this was asked before.I am trying to Convert some of my movies from avi to mp4 to play on the mobile and wish to ask you the following.What would be the optimal settings (of the following) for the 5530 with it's 360 x 640 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio:
1) Video Size, should it be same as screen resolution or something like 320x240?
2) Frame rate, should it be 30 or is 15 good enough?
3) Should i set the aspect ratio to 16:9 or leave it intact?
4) Change the bitrate or leave it as it is?
I could leave them in avi but each of them ranges from 600 mb to 4 gb.I am looking for good to excellent video quality and average to small size.
When i made a call or received a call my phone shut down by itself .any solution for this problem?

The problem is, I formatted my handset a month ago but now when I check the Memories, it says Phone Memory 1.3 MB Free (Almost Full) while my Memory card's memory is doing good. how to tackle with this situation? Because when I connect my phone to PC and check the Phone Memory, I only find files sizing 89 kb.
View 9 Replies View RelatedGot the phone in trade, so no warranty...Phone works perfectly fine before any of this happens. Basically got the nokia software, updated ect. Go to update the firmware and do what the instructions says. It downloads the firmware and starts to install...halfway through says cable disconnected. Clearly it is not, but i do what the instructions says to reconnect it. It tells me to disconnect, take out batter, reinsert usb then battery and then hit retry. Works, but same problem, halfway thought it "disconnects". After trying this about 5 times i give up. I hit cancel. Now the phone is dead, nothing, can't hard reset, can't turn on. NOTHING.Currently have the phone without battery as someone online (googled) had similar situation and he left the phone for 6hours and it magically worked again...i don't think it will work but i have to try...

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy iphone 4 has died after running out of battery and now will no longer charge. I have tried different plugs and different cables, held both home and power button, left it in to charge for several hours. Nothing.
When I was charging it previously before it stopped working it kept stopping and recharging again, I could tell this as every few moments it vibrated twice as the phone does when you put it in to charge on silent. I was trying to sleep and I just gave up and stopped it. Since then it's just given up. It's not jailbroken and has suffered no damage and I believe it's on the latest version of iOS.
I have a bug with my Nexus battery that no longer charge, the temperature of the battery is rated for -30 C but it does not recharge, whether in the ROM, the recovery, the bootloader , I ' have already connect - disconnect the battery several times but still nothing , I wonder if the fact that the phone has heated yesterday (CPU at ~ 85 C for 1 H) have damaged the sensor , I would like disabled or ignore it to allow charging of the phone.It happen once already , I just disconnected - reconnected the battery and it was gone, but here it does not work again.

Basiclly I am running corparte sync to Exchange and nothing else right now. I was running a live wallpaper and weather (turned off when battery would die) and same result no matter what I run. Heavy phone use or no phone calls. At my house I have a microcell, but work is low signal. Also Corp HQ where I spend 1 week a month has full H+ connection. All seem to last about 8 hours at all three locations. AT&T gave me a new battery and I have wiped 2 times in the last 2 weeks.
Here is what the battery manager says running after 6 hours.
Now look at the pics, Display seems really high. I am on auto brightness, and have a screen lockout of 2 minutes. This screenshot was from 6 hours of use. No phone calls, vibrate and no signal when picture was taken. Display was used 28 minutes of 6 hours of use.
AT&T just tells me to either wipe device or turn of push on snyc. 8 hours is not right for a new phone with no calls and light use.
My iPhone 5 is over heating on charge and it is no longer showing anything on the screen. I was using it when the screen went white and it hasn't worked since. I have tried to both restart it and to restore it. as the screen doesn't not work it is hard to tell the condition of the phone. However it occasionally makes the lock noise when pushing the lock button and also occasionally vibrates when operating the side switch. I can not leave it plugged in on charge as it gets very hot and it is no longer recognised in iTunes unless i put it in recovery mode.Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated the software on my phone and downloaded the OVI Chat with the Here and Now software etc. The download and installation of the software went smoothly. I even turned off and turned back on the phone to ensure that all went well AFTER the installation was complete.
Today, however, my phone isn't working. This afternoon the phone displayed a white screen for 2 seconds -- I wasn't doing anything on the phone. When the screen came back I noticed that the phone wasn't locking anymore so I restarted the phone. It's not coming back on.
So far, I've tried the following:
1. removed the battery from the phone and put it back in
2. removed the memory card and tried to restart the phone
3. tried connecting the phone to the computer to see if the computer could read it
4. tried the hard reset (3 + * + call button + power button)
I connect the phone to PC and switched to offline mode, so it shouldn't consume much electricity, when I come back an hour later I find the phone stopped charging, it on and off refuse to charge for no reason, this is very annoying
