BB Curve :: Will Not Hold A Charge Longer Than 4 Hours
Dec 16, 2011
My curve soes not stay charged for more than 4 hours. I have deleted almost all apps. It is minimal use at best. I need 2 batteries just to make it through a day I have sent it for servicing what can I do
For the last month (since I bought it) my phone won't hold a charge for longer for 8 hours. This was on 1.26 and 1.57 and now on 1.83
Basiclly I am running corparte sync to Exchange and nothing else right now. I was running a live wallpaper and weather (turned off when battery would die) and same result no matter what I run. Heavy phone use or no phone calls. At my house I have a microcell, but work is low signal. Also Corp HQ where I spend 1 week a month has full H+ connection. All seem to last about 8 hours at all three locations. AT&T gave me a new battery and I have wiped 2 times in the last 2 weeks.
Here is what the battery manager says running after 6 hours.
Now look at the pics, Display seems really high. I am on auto brightness, and have a screen lockout of 2 minutes. This screenshot was from 6 hours of use. No phone calls, vibrate and no signal when picture was taken. Display was used 28 minutes of 6 hours of use.
AT&T just tells me to either wipe device or turn of push on snyc. 8 hours is not right for a new phone with no calls and light use.
My E51 is jjust over two years old and will no longer hold a charge beyond about 30 hours
I have: replaced the battery, do not use Bluetooth, do not scan for wireless networks, cleaned the battery poles, removed the memory card on a trial basis, updated the firmware to the latest version. What else can I do besides return it to Nokia?
Our last nokia phones outlasted their shells over 5 years before we decided to replace them. This e51 has been great until now. Considering moving to another manufacturer.
When i charge it, the battery falls very very quickly (MUCH quicker than usual). as in my 'battery life is about 3 hours. at first i thought it was the battery but after replacing it with many times, i realised it was the phone. so i sent it to the repairs. BUT i am currently using a temporary blackberry which has no faults yetthe same problem still persists! the phone (or whatever the cause is) strains the battery too fast.
Ever since RIM went down and i have installed OS6, my blackberry curve 9300 isnt not holding charge. The battery indicator will get to about halfway with little help and then the phone blacks out. Its starting to do it more frequently, it even did it when it was on charge
Recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 9350. Phone will not hold a charge or receive signal inside structures. Is this a "hardware" problem, or carrier network problem or both?
I have a Blackberry Curve 8300. Can not keep a charge for more than 8 hours, if that. Tried a new charger, tried a new battery. Phone charges, but will not hold the charge and battery runs out in no time.
my iphone battery died and now it wont turn it all it shows is the charging screen with a lighting bolt i left it on my wall charger for 45 mins and still had not turned on so i plugged it in my laptop for another 45 mins and still not turned on i tried restoreing it but the computer wont recognise the iphone i tried holding down the home and power button and the screen went black then took me back to the charging screen there are no signs of it charging do i need to replace my battery
Help! My photon will not hold a charge. It charge up to 100%, but it will be dead after a couple hours with little or no use. I have changed the battery and that did not help. I have check the backlight, made sure that nothing is running in the background and I don't get any emails forwarded to the phone.
I updated my blackberry last Wednesday with the latest OS (7.1), and since then, my phone won't hold a charge. I started noticing it on Thursday, and it's progressively gotten worse.A full charge will last only about 4 hours.I've changed the battery out for a new one, but to no avail. The phone won't hold a charge. It will, however, still charge with either battery (the old and the new), and after it's charged (after being totally dead) it will turn on, andit will connect to Blackberry desktop software.
About 5 weeks ago, I got my iPhone 4s wet. It was not completely submerged in water and had a phone cover on it at the time.I put it in a bag of rice for about 3 weeks and it is now fully functional. The buttons, sound, camera, touch screen, etc... it works the way it did before. The only way the phone will turn on is if I connect it to the charger, but it will only stay on for a few mins before a red line appears across the screen and fades out then will power itself up again. If i leave it connected to the charger it will keep doing this over and over again.
HI my 4 S doesn't take the charge any longer, and sometimes when I turn it off and plug it, it takes a little bit of charge but doesn't hold it long, and the phone get super hot. What should I do to fix that problem, I have donwload all the last version and the phone is only a few months old.
My iphone 4 suddenly died last night even though it said it had about 40% power. When I plug it in, it turns back on but will not connect to anything (no internet, and I can't call or text). As soon as I unlpug it, it turns off, and sometimes when it is plugged in it either says it has 0% or 100% charge. After about 60 seconds of being plugged in it turns off and restarts. It won't start up fully when I plug it into my computer, it just shows the Apple symbol before shutting off again. I am thinking this is a hardware issue. Is it possible that the battery is so drained (since it won't hold charge), even when it is plugged in, that it doesn't even have the power to connect to the internet or call or anything? I have had this phone for about 1.5 years.Â
Important note: I had it fixed about 2-3 weeks ago when the whole front piece of the phone was shattered when it was run over by a car, lol. Even in that state, the phone continued to vibrate when recieving calls, and when the front piece and home button were replaced everything was working except for the camera. Maybe some internal damage is just now catching up to the phone?
Have had my experia x10 for almost a year now, and battery tended to last for 2 days (using for calls/ texts/ internet) In the last few days though- I have fully charged my phone overnight, not used it at all during the day, and it has a completely dead battery 6 hours later. I've not got any applications running except for Cardio Trainer, but have always had this running.
Many people told me that when i get it out of the box i should charge it for 8 hours, others told me that i should wait until it hits 0% then i charge it for 8 hours...
I am worried about my battery, I was told that i had to charge it for 12 hour in a row before I started using my Iphone 4s is. Is it true? What if i didn't do it?
My imessage stopped working. I came from singapore and now in the philippines. It was working for a couple of hours then it no longer allowed me to use it.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Imessage isn't working overseas
My iphone was unlock; i decided to reset and erase everything to factory setting. Now it says the battery is low, but will not charge even though it's been on the charger for 24hours. just the apple logo is on the screen and nothingelse.
Since I upgraded to the iOS 5.1 my battery life on the iPhone 4S has been ridiculous. For example, I left my house at 740am with my phone on 100%, I have browsed a little (safari and facebook) for no more than 20-30 mins in total. No apps are not running in the background as I ensure to close apps once i have finished with them. And now at 1400 I am left with 28% battery. i am not due to be at home until 1900.
Have I been unlucky with getting a dodgy iPhone from Orange?? the model is MD242B if that helps. Also, notifications and banners are all turned off except for phone, messages, whatsapp, remainders, calendar. I am careful not to over charge my phone, I do use an app called BatteryDoc to monitor my charging.
I always let my battery go flat before charging to 100% (with no trickle change), i believe this is a normal charge and what BatteryDoc advises i perform a full charge..
My fully charged phone will be down to 0% battery after 4-5 hours. During this time, I havent even used it. This has occured for the last 3 days, and I have not downloaded any apps or updated any apps for 6 days.
