My E51 is jjust over two years old and will no longer hold a charge beyond about 30 hours
I have: replaced the battery, do not use Bluetooth, do not scan for wireless networks, cleaned the battery poles, removed the memory card on a trial basis, updated the firmware to the latest version. What else can I do besides return it to Nokia?
Our last nokia phones outlasted their shells over 5 years before we decided to replace them. This e51 has been great until now. Considering moving to another manufacturer.
I updated my blackberry last Wednesday with the latest OS (7.1), and since then, my phone won't hold a charge. I started noticing it on Thursday, and it's progressively gotten worse.A full charge will last only about 4 hours.I've changed the battery out for a new one, but to no avail. The phone won't hold a charge. It will, however, still charge with either battery (the old and the new), and after it's charged (after being totally dead) it will turn on, andit will connect to Blackberry desktop software.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got the BB Torch 9800. It's my first touchscreen phone, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. While I'm on a phone call, the following buttons automatically appear on the touchscreen: Mute, Hold, Speaker Phone, and Add Recipient. I have yet to complete a phone conversation without hitting one of these buttons with my cheek. I cannot for the life of me find a way in Options to stop these buttons from appearing during phone calls.I am actually considering returning the phone over this.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Blackberry Sync Pod and for some reason the phone will not charge while on the dock. The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?

Last friday I went to sleep with my bb torch 9800 dieing. I woke up to charge it and there was no response besides a red light when plugged in then it went out and then no light eventually. I ordered a new battery and got it today. It charged for 10 seconds then tried turning itself on and died and kept repeating this process and now im back to the red light when I plug it in and thats all..The light keeps going out then no response.

It send me the message saying welcome to bb but when the battery died i havent been able to get it charge again. When I connect it to the charger the light comes on but stays on only for like 10 seconds and thats it. When I connected to the computer the same the light stays on for like 10 seconds and it goes off. I haven't been able to even turn it on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running into an issue, periodically, where my Torch 9800 appears to be charging when placed within my dock, but loses battery life (appears to actually drain the battery) over the course of an evening if shut off. This never used to be the case, as the device would charge regardless of whether it remained on or was shut off. I also cannot rely on the flashing light (when put in charger) as the device does not do this on occasion, even when it does appear to be charging. I am wondering if this is a common occurance and whether there is anything I can do to ensure this problem is fixed, as I would like to rely on my Torch as an alarm clock, but need to know that the battery will not die over the course of an evening.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry Torch 9800 won't turn on or charge. I've tried removing the battery, SIM and memory card. I've tried both AC and USB charging and nothing is working. When I connect it to my computer to charge through the USB the phone is not showing on my computer. I suspect the USB port on the phone is defective. What can be done?

When I plugged the Blackberry into the USB, it said the charging device doesn't have enough power to charge the Blackberry. It says the USB output is 5VDC, 1 A max.How much power is required to charge the Blackberry and do you have any recommendations for power converters/adapters that are compatible with the Torch?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB Torch 9800 on my AT&T network is constantly not holding any battery charge, it's constantly dying on me even though I constantly have in plugged into a car charger or a wall charger at all times, it also started to reboot itself and then once its complete it reboots itself again and again and again. I've tried leaving the battery out for 15min and then trying to reboot it again, that does nothing. I've gone into the Options section under Device and disables the Compression, that did nothing, I've check the CPU Usage for the day and the week nothing is really eating the power up. I have also held down the menu button and switched off all my apps in there and still no better.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i charge it, the battery falls very very quickly (MUCH quicker than usual). as in my 'battery life is about 3 hours. at first i thought it was the battery but after replacing it with many times, i realised it was the phone. so i sent it to the repairs. BUT i am currently using a temporary blackberry which has no faults yetthe same problem still persists! the phone (or whatever the cause is) strains the battery too fast.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout 5 weeks ago, I got my iPhone 4s wet. It was not completely submerged in water and had a phone cover on it at the time.I put it in a bag of rice for about 3 weeks and it is now fully functional. The buttons, sound, camera, touch screen, etc... it works the way it did before. The only way the phone will turn on is if I connect it to the charger, but it will only stay on for a few mins before a red line appears across the screen and fades out then will power itself up again. If i leave it connected to the charger it will keep doing this over and over again.

I recently got a replacement for my torch 9800 from t-mobile as it had broken but the battery was fine. I tried to connect it up to the replacement phone and it didn't work. T-mobile did not send the phone with a new battery. Is there anyway of getting the old battery to work on the new phone?
