ive reserved a full price unlocked iPhone in regent street in Londnn for pickup 24 june.
got my reservation mail from apple.now my question: will they sell to foreigners(i'm from Belgium and it's only 2 hours with the eurostar)ive read on forums because it's an unlocked full price iphone you don't have to show a UK ID or have to prove you live in the UK etc. to buy it.
I recently got an iPhone 4S and was looking to sell my iPhone 3G on eBay. I've noticed the unlocked versions sell for more than those that aren't unlocked. What is the easiest and cheapest (free if possible) way to unlock my iPhone 3G to be used with any carrier?

I'm looking to upgrade to the new iPhone 4, even though I don't qualify for the $199 price. Can someone give me step by step directions on how to do this? View 8 Replies View RelatedI mean I keep hearing you end up waiting in line in the reserve line and the advantage is the line goes faster.But, I may be in a situation that I can only pick up the phone much later in the day (I mean after 7 PM) depending on my work schedule.Does this mean they'll actually hold it all day or am I going to be SOL (I think I heard one launch they did end up running out of iphones for the reserved people and late comers had to wait). And please tell me if I'm SOL that it probably won't be a 3-4 week to get one in. Basically the biggest thing for me is I want one before July 21rst which is when I go on vacation (I want to have its camera and video capability by then).

My SIM was still in the phone when I did the restore and after it restored and restarted it still had my number when I clicked on "iPhone" in iTunes. Even without the SIM it still reads my number, is this because the phone was automatically activated with the SIM in it after the restore?
Will I be ok as long as I take the SIM out?
hey i reserved my 32 gig iphone thru the app store app on i phone. I didnt have to put in my c.c. or anything. does that mean it went thru.?

when he syncs i know it will erase the apps pics etc but will it erase the base band unlock and hte jb itself?
Or should i restore to 3.1.2 an re jb/reunlock and then make sure i don't restore from backup then when he syncs even though it has cydia on it already it will still be a new phone according to his itunes when he syncs?
What is the deal wiht my baseband. im still on 07 something. if i just do a restore from my saved 3.1.2 on pc that wont affect my baseband since i never upgraded. so am i good?
I'm prepping my 3GS for selling. I just did:
1) Erase all content and settings.
2) Then I put it in DFU mode, and restored to 3.1.3 (the only SHSH I have on file).
3) Then I jailbroke with spirit.
4) Then I ran the spirit2pwn hack.
5) Then I restored to a custom pwned 4.0 firmware.
6) Then when it was done, the iphone screen says "iPhone is now activated", and on the computer I was at the screen to set up as a new phone or restore from backup.
7) I do neither of those things and then unplug the phone from the computer. Loaded up cydia and installed ultrasn0w.
8) Rebooted the device.
9) On the iPhone, went into settings -> General -> Store, and logged out of my iTunes account. (Don't know why it was even logged into that)
Am I all set to sell it? And how had it gotten logged into my iTunes if I never set up the phone? Maybe when it "activated" it does?
I sold my iPhone4 to stay with my 3GS. ATT said I need to get a new sim to keep my 3GS since I had to activate my iPhone4 which wiped out my old sim. Do I ship the iPhone4 with the micro-sim or no?

I was originally going to have my phone shipped to my college apartment as I live an hour from my parents' home, but then I read that apple will only ship to the billing address (my parents' house) so I opted to have it reserved at the apple store closer to my apartment. I then read that I have to be an authorized/primary user on the att account in order to pick up my reserved phone and I didn't want to hassle with all that. I went through the order process a second time and just decided to have it shipped to my parents' house and just make the drive next week. My question is, do I have to cancel the reserved phone I ordered the first time or will the apple store simply give it to someone else when I don't show up?

However, I reserved an iPhone 4 at launch day and would love to pick it up at BB, especially since I already put $50 into a BB gift card I'm unlikely to use for anything else. In order to get the iPhone 4 and Premier I see two options:
1.On the Premier site's phone selection I will select a phone which requires no contract (my previous contract with AT&T expired long ago so I'm currently month-to-month with them) so at least my account is already switched to Premier by launch day.
2.Keep my existing plan for now and (somehow) switch to Premier after I pickup the new phone on launch day.
I reseved my iPhone over 24hrs ago and no confirmation email.Is there any way to look it up to see if my reservation went through.When I did it, it gave me the same information as everyone else who placed and told me what to bring, but no confirmation email.

I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID.
The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI reserved a 16gb black Iphone 4 online last week for pick up today at the Garden State Plaza Apple store.. I showed up around 9pm because I was working all day.. The "genius" at the door tells me they only have 32gb phones left. If I wanted a 16gb I would have to come back later and they MIGHT be able to hold a 16gb phone for me when it comes in and they don't know when that might be. This is ridiculous, the closest apple store to me is an hour drive away and I work crazy hours.. If I order a phone online I won't get it till mid-July.
The manager at the store basically told me tough luck and if I wanted a 32gb he would give me one after waiting in the huge line that the people who did not reserve a phone were waiting in. Any one have any other ideas of how to further go about this? It is almost like a bait and switch to the 32gb..
I'm eligible for the $299 price on the iPhone 4 32GB but when I reserved my phone at the Apple store, it shows the reservation for $699. Anyone else have the same issue and when I go to pick it up how much are they going to want to charge me?

It is more then 10GB though i have only a couple of small games (i hardly play games on mobile), i dont have any movie on mobile and overall the content i have put on lumia 800 should not have crossed 2GB at max. have onyl a dozen of photos from camera. the big chunk of my content is music and thats all.
