IPhone :: Cancel A Reserved IP4 At The Apple Store

So I was able to get through and place an order. I was originally going to have my phone shipped to my college apartment as I live an hour from my parents' home, but then I read that apple will only ship to the billing address (my parents' house) so I opted to have it reserved at the apple store closer to my apartment. I then read that I have to be an authorized/primary user on the att account in order to pick up my reserved phone and I didn't want to hassle with all that. I went through the order process a second time and just decided to have it shipped to my parents' house and just make the drive next week. My question is, do I have to cancel the reserved phone I ordered the first time or will the apple store simply give it to someone else when I don't show up?
I did the backdoor move and reserved my iphone 4 through the apple store app, got the confirmation email and it told me that it will hold my phone until the end of launch day.but...I remember previous launches that despite the reservation the phones are moved on a first come - first serve basis which to me is pointless to even have reservations if thats the case. So what's the verdict.am i really guaranteed an iphone this time or should i plan to make a trip early to the store?
I reserved a 16gb black Iphone 4 online last week for pick up today at the Garden State Plaza Apple store.. I showed up around 9pm because I was working all day.. The "genius" at the door tells me they only have 32gb phones left. If I wanted a 16gb I would have to come back later and they MIGHT be able to hold a 16gb phone for me when it comes in and they don't know when that might be. This is ridiculous, the closest apple store to me is an hour drive away and I work crazy hours.. If I order a phone online I won't get it till mid-July. The manager at the store basically told me tough luck and if I wanted a 32gb he would give me one after waiting in the huge line that the people who did not reserve a phone were waiting in. Any one have any other ideas of how to further go about this? It is almost like a bait and switch to the 32gb..
I'm eligible for the $299 price on the iPhone 4 32GB but when I reserved my phone at the Apple store, it shows the reservation for $699. Anyone else have the same issue and when I go to pick it up how much are they going to want to charge me?
I haven't seen this particular scenario discussed, so I finally decided I would ask.I of course dealt with the fiasco that was June 15. I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID. The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.
I mean I keep hearing you end up waiting in line in the reserve line and the advantage is the line goes faster.But, I may be in a situation that I can only pick up the phone much later in the day (I mean after 7 PM) depending on my work schedule.Does this mean they'll actually hold it all day or am I going to be SOL (I think I heard one launch they did end up running out of iphones for the reserved people and late comers had to wait). And please tell me if I'm SOL that it probably won't be a 3-4 week to get one in. Basically the biggest thing for me is I want one before July 21rst which is when I go on vacation (I want to have its camera and video capability by then).
my child took my iPhone without my permission and he started downloading song with his Apple ID, somehow he associated his ID with my iPhone, now I want to download old purchases and when I tap on "download" it appears a message that tells me "an iPhone can be associated with only one Apple ID every three months, I've been waiting but it still tells me that I have to wait other 65 days...
I Have given my old phone to a friend and they can't register their Apple ID as my old Apple ID is registered. Is there a way they can de-couple it without me giving them the password?
There are a number of 'error download' files on my downloads page of itunes store that i would like to cancel. but how?! i cannot have itunes on any other devices.
Anyone have similar experience? I preordered 2 16GB Blacks on @ 5:15am yesterday. I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? Is this sufficient backup to secure my phone on the 24th?
I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
I'm currently on T-mobile but I have an Iphone that is within its warranty, If I bring it into apple to try to exchange it for a refurb or new one within the warranty period if something happens to it, will I need to have an activated att sim or can I go in there simless or with with an unactivated att sim?

Haven't used in-store pickup during previous launches, but may this time. Does anyone know if you have to specify the store for pickup at the time that you preorder? Asking as I will be on vacation on the June 24 launch date, and would like to ensure I can receive that day.
I don't know if its just me but the Apple Online Store is redirecting me to Google now. Apple.com works fine for me, its just store.apple.com. Is this happening to anyone else? Maybe they're putting in the iPhone 4 preorder stuff.
just got off the phone with Apple Store The Grove (in LA) the lady told me, just because I have a reservation for the phone, it doesn't guarantee me from getting the phone. I'd still have to go wait in the line. Even the people that don't have the reservation could be in front of me as long as they get there earlier than me.
AND, according to that "genius", Apple store don't give you discount on iphones even with you are suppose to get it with early upgrade. So, if you want to get an iphone from the store, you are paying full price.
I called-up my local Apple store and asked if they would be getting another shipment of iPhone 4s on Friday if they sell out on Thursday. The manager (who I was speaking with) said that they would probably get another shipment at the end of NEXT week. Can anyone confirm this with their local Apple store? I have been phone-less for about a week now and can't afford another week.
I went to my local Apple Store in Jacksonville, FL. I went to take back my Apple Bumpers, I had 2 of them. They gave me my money back. Me and my wife had purchased 2 cases at Best Buy. I saw a Retail Associate, I said mam, do yall have any cases for the iPhone 4? She said NO, with a tone, we only carry bumpers, with a tone, a bumper is all you need. It was like she read a script to me.
I bought my iPhone at the ATT store on June 29th.. Since then I got a replacement. Will I be able to return my iPhone at the Apple store despite buying it at the ATT store and it being a replacement iPhone? WIll my two year contract be canceled as well?

After trying all day i finally got through on the Apple website. I wanted to do a store pick up. After picking my plan (I am an existing AT&T customer) it said can not pre order online please visit a store. Then let me pick from 3 local stores. I picked one and it sayed bring government id on June 24th. Did it go through? I am I suppose to get a confirmation. Can I check? Was I suppose to put money down?
How often do you think the Apple stores will get in new stock? I was not going to wait in line and dont want to wait till mid July to get one. Should I try an ATT store or just keep checking the Apple store and hope to getlucky? Or is mid July my best bet?
I placed two iPhone 4s (32gb) on reserve at the Apple store last Friday evening. They estimated it would be approximately 2 weeks before they came in. I just received notice that the phones are in and I have until COB tomorrow (Friday) to pick them up. This was a no-committment on my part reservation - the Apple guy said pick them up if I want them, don't if I don't. I will probably just cancel these since I also and placed an order with AT&T on Tuesday. That order is supposed to be 7-10 days but now I'm wondering if the order from AT&T might come earlier than predicted.
