I know that unlocked iPhone 4's are out of stock all over UK right now. I'll be visiting London on 13th of September for 5 days. Do you think, Apple Stores will have constant stock by then? I mean, will I be able to walk in and buy 2 iPhones?

I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? View 6 Replies View RelatedI made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
My company surprised me with one so I don't need the one I purchased.

Looks like Apple confirmed you can get unlocked iPhones at Apple stores. Too bad you still have to go with AT&T for 3G.I wonder if this changes the mandatory data plan?

I have an Apple-unlocked iPhone 3GS which I bought in Australia 2 years ago. It's always worked fine with various SIMs and varuious carriers - I travel a lot so unlocked was my chocie as I use SIMs in each country I visit. Recently in UK, I bought and installed a prepaid (pay as you go) SIM while I was there and now I find the phone is locked to that carrier. Well, at least it will not make calls - it'll recieve calls and it'll send and recieve SMS messages, but I can't make any calls - it just begins the calling process then gives call failed message. Now I find the problem, I've moved on to another country so getting the carrier to see to it is impossible for me. So now I have a locked phone because somehow a carrier has been able to disable the factory unlock by using their SIM I installed. This is a carrier I have not used before with this phone.
how can that happen? How can a carrier have that sort of power over the device? How can I get back to the original unlocked state? I've tried a total Restore, but no change - still locked.

Not sure when and if they will change it but it is still online, so I am not sure when all the new products will be available.

the lady told me, just because I have a reservation for the phone, it doesn't guarantee me from getting the phone. I'd still have to go wait in the line. Even the people that don't have the reservation could be in front of me as long as they get there earlier than me.
AND, according to that "genius", Apple store don't give you discount on iphones even with you are suppose to get it with early upgrade. So, if you want to get an iphone from the store, you are paying full price.
I called-up my local Apple store and asked if they would be getting another shipment of iPhone 4s on Friday if they sell out on Thursday. The manager (who I was speaking with) said that they would probably get another shipment at the end of NEXT week. Can anyone confirm this with their local Apple store? I have been phone-less for about a week now and can't afford another week.

After picking my plan (I am an existing AT&T customer) it said can not pre order online please visit a store. Then let me pick from 3 local stores. I just received notice that the phones are in and I have until COB tomorrow (Friday) to pick them up. This was a no-committment on my part reservation - the Apple guy said pick them up if I want them, don't if I don't. I will probably just cancel these since I also and placed an order with AT&T on Tuesday. That order is supposed to be 7-10 days but now I'm wondering if the order from AT&T might come earlier than predicted.

My daughter recently used my iPhone 4 to purchase apps. She changed the Apple ID but now I cannot change it back to mine. On Settings>Store, the ID is mine. I logged out, switched off the phone, logged in but when I go to App to update and purchase, the ID is still my daughter's.
