I reserved a 16GB iPhone 4 today but when I got the conformation email it says it costs $599.00. I'm eligible for the upgrade price of $199.00 and I want to see if this has happened with anyone else's reservation email?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI mean I keep hearing you end up waiting in line in the reserve line and the advantage is the line goes faster.But, I may be in a situation that I can only pick up the phone much later in the day (I mean after 7 PM) depending on my work schedule.Does this mean they'll actually hold it all day or am I going to be SOL (I think I heard one launch they did end up running out of iphones for the reserved people and late comers had to wait). And please tell me if I'm SOL that it probably won't be a 3-4 week to get one in. Basically the biggest thing for me is I want one before July 21rst which is when I go on vacation (I want to have its camera and video capability by then).

I was originally going to have my phone shipped to my college apartment as I live an hour from my parents' home, but then I read that apple will only ship to the billing address (my parents' house) so I opted to have it reserved at the apple store closer to my apartment. I then read that I have to be an authorized/primary user on the att account in order to pick up my reserved phone and I didn't want to hassle with all that. I went through the order process a second time and just decided to have it shipped to my parents' house and just make the drive next week. My question is, do I have to cancel the reserved phone I ordered the first time or will the apple store simply give it to someone else when I don't show up?

However, I reserved an iPhone 4 at launch day and would love to pick it up at BB, especially since I already put $50 into a BB gift card I'm unlikely to use for anything else. In order to get the iPhone 4 and Premier I see two options:
1.On the Premier site's phone selection I will select a phone which requires no contract (my previous contract with AT&T expired long ago so I'm currently month-to-month with them) so at least my account is already switched to Premier by launch day.
2.Keep my existing plan for now and (somehow) switch to Premier after I pickup the new phone on launch day.
I did the backdoor move and reserved my iphone 4 through the apple store app, got the confirmation email and it told me that it will hold my phone until the end of launch day.but...I remember previous launches that despite the reservation the phones are moved on a first come - first serve basis which to me is pointless to even have reservations if thats the case. So what's the verdict.am i really guaranteed an iphone this time or should i plan to make a trip early to the store?
View 22 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen this particular scenario discussed, so I finally decided I would ask.I of course dealt with the fiasco that was June 15. I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID.
The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.

I reserved a 16gb black Iphone 4 online last week for pick up today at the Garden State Plaza Apple store.. I showed up around 9pm because I was working all day.. The "genius" at the door tells me they only have 32gb phones left. If I wanted a 16gb I would have to come back later and they MIGHT be able to hold a 16gb phone for me when it comes in and they don't know when that might be. This is ridiculous, the closest apple store to me is an hour drive away and I work crazy hours.. If I order a phone online I won't get it till mid-July.
The manager at the store basically told me tough luck and if I wanted a 32gb he would give me one after waiting in the huge line that the people who did not reserve a phone were waiting in. Any one have any other ideas of how to further go about this? It is almost like a bait and switch to the 32gb..

Placed an order with Premier for iPhone 4 Friday before July 4 weekend but it got stuck in the "Attention" stage. So I placed a second order over the weekend which went through fine and I received it last week. The original order shipped out yesterday. Now I've got 2 iPhone 4's at upgrade pricing. I've already activated the first one and my contract end date has been updated to 2012. What do I do? I'd like to be able to keep the second one and have my wife use it; is this possible?

I've tried creating a new Apple ID to download the app, swapping the Apple ID associated with Apple Configurator, different phones (I have 25 to deploy) and all with the same problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm waiting for the Tour 2 to be released, but no one really seems to know when it's coming. Apparently it was supposed to be Feb 3, but was delayed. So then we were hearing it could be as late as April or May. I knew I couldn't wait that long so I bought a Tour on ebay last week. Now, just as I figured would happen, we're hearing it could be as early as within this week and if not, pretty much for sure within the next 30 days.
So I'm just wondering if you all think the price value of Tours on ebay will drop once the Tour 2 is released? I'm contemplating just turning around and selling mine now so I can be sure to get what I paid for it. But if the selling price will most likely stay the same even after the Essex is out, I'll probably just wait it out. I just don't want to lose a lot of money on the deal when I might only be using the phone for just a couple weeks!
I downloaded Stock Alert from Pocket Tools. It supposedly gives alerts when prices move up or down past a user defined amount. Unfortunately, it gives many spurious alerts with little rhyme or reason. Has anyone had better luck with some other application? I wrote to the developer and got no response so I am ready to forget this one. I am running Android 2.4 on my Atrix.
