IPhone :: Bought 3gs At Full Price / Should Qualify For 4 At Subsidized Price?
Jun 19, 2010Last year, about this time, I bought my 3GS at what I believe was full price (no att discount)... doesn't that mean that I should qualify for the iphone 4 at the subsidized price?i was just at the apple store and i supposedly will qualify for the subsidy on february of 2011... If I should indeed qualify, who should i talk to?

Jun 15, 2010Well I am able to buy the new phones at the subsidized prices of 199/299 and I want to buy the 32gb for 299. Since I was having so much trouble pre ordering, I decided to reserve it for the local Apple Store. When I reserved it, the price said 699 and I was wondering if this was normal and they would give me the actual price when I come.

After picking my plan (I am an existing AT&T customer) it said can not pre order online please visit a store. Then let me pick from 3 local stores. I picked one and it sayed bring government id on June 24th. Did it go through? I am I suppose to get a confirmation. Can I check? Was I suppose to put money down?

Jun 21, 2010I just got off the phone with my local Apple store here in New York and asked them if my reserved iPhone 4 would still be there when I get out of work at 4 to pick it up.He told me to call back on Wednesday to make sure that they are not releasing reservations, but he thinks it will be held for me. He said that they're not sure if they are going to be releasing reserved phones to customers.In my opinion, them releasing reserved phones to the public is pretty crappy and doubt it will happen, but you never know. Call your local Apple store and see know what they say. We're probably going to get different stories.

Jun 21, 2010I didn't see this posted yet but I got an email from Apple today reminding me of my pickup reservation at my designated Apple store on Thursday.Glad to know I wasn't bumped or canceled from the reservations list like i've heard from some other members here.It also mentions how the price I was shown when I reserved (599.00) was a mistake and I could confirm my upgrade price via the link in the email which I did. $199.00 now shows up correctly.I guess i'll come Thursday I'll be one Iphone 4 happierI managed to place my reservation via the iphone apple store app on the first day.

I received email confirmation on both Apple IDs I used, however, my store (Oak Brook, IL) does not show my reservation on the main website, but does confirm my reservation on the iPhone App? May 2, 2012I'm trying to import an free app to the Apple Configurator. Every time I attempt this I get the error message "Unable to determine current price of app."
I've tried creating a new Apple ID to download the app, swapping the Apple ID associated with Apple Configurator, different phones (I have 25 to deploy) and all with the same problem.
I can only find one other mention of this problem [URL] and there's no solution. I'm hoping somebody else will ahve experienced this and found an answer.

Jun 17, 2010I just got off the phone with iPhone sales at Apple. I was told in no uncertain terms that a reservation just means that they have all your information and know what you want to buy when you show up at the store on launch day. It does NOT mean you're guaranteed a phone or that they're holding one for you. He recommended I get there super early and wait in line like everyone else.Apparently, the only people that are guaranteed a phone are those that managed to get a full paid pre-order through on the 15th.

I can set up the Blackberry to use my wifi connection no problem, just can't figure how to set it up to use the mobile internet included in my price plan?
Also when I try to install the Blackberry Appworld, it says my device is not supported - even when I try viewing on the Blackberry's browser and connecting to my laptop! Why is this?

IPhone :: Restored Ip To Sell
Jun 10, 2010Restored my iPhone to sell it today. My SIM was still in the phone when I did the restore and after it restored and restarted it still had my number when I clicked on "iPhone" in iTunes. Even without the SIM it still reads my number, is this because the phone was automatically activated with the SIM in it after the restore?
Will I be ok as long as I take the SIM out?

Jun 21, 2010selling 3gs tonight Ive read all the posts about the best way to prepare. cant I simply erase my email, notes etc and then give it to him.
when he syncs i know it will erase the apps pics etc but will it erase the base band unlock and hte jb itself?
Or should i restore to 3.1.2 an re jb/reunlock and then make sure i don't restore from backup then when he syncs even though it has cydia on it already it will still be a new phone according to his itunes when he syncs?
What is the deal wiht my baseband. im still on 07 something. if i just do a restore from my saved 3.1.2 on pc that wont affect my baseband since i never upgraded. so am i good?
IPhone :: Prepping To Sell
Jul 6, 2010I'm prepping my 3GS for selling. I just did:
1) Erase all content and settings.
2) Then I put it in DFU mode, and restored to 3.1.3 (the only SHSH I have on file).
3) Then I jailbroke with spirit.
4) Then I ran the spirit2pwn hack.
5) Then I restored to a custom pwned 4.0 firmware.
6) Then when it was done, the iphone screen says "iPhone is now activated", and on the computer I was at the screen to set up as a new phone or restore from backup.
7) I do neither of those things and then unplug the phone from the computer. Loaded up cydia and installed ultrasn0w.
8) Rebooted the device.
9) On the iPhone, went into settings -> General -> Store, and logged out of my iTunes account. (Don't know why it was even logged into that)
Am I all set to sell it? And how had it gotten logged into my iTunes if I never set up the phone? Maybe when it "activated" it does?

Jun 15, 2010We've all been struggling to get through Apple and AT&T's servers since 4AM this morning. I've just been trying to get two 16GB iPhone 4's, preferably white, for me and my wife.With enough perseverance, I managed to wrangle one (1) pre-order for black 16GB iPhone 4 from AT&T's Premier site, and it luckily shows "processing." At the same time, I also managed to grab two (2) reservations for black 16GB iPhone 4's at Apple's site, one using their website, and one with the Apple Store app (which, by the way, was extremely fast).
The bottom line is I have an extra reservation (possible because of two Apple IDs, I guess?). I'm still aiming to preorder the second 16GB iPhone 4 at AT&T, if the site will let me.Come launch day, the lines will be long. The stores will be crazy. Someone is bound to walk away without an iPhone 4, and someone will want one bad enough to pay money for it. If you had an extra reservation, would you sell it?

Jun 17, 2010Or those who made reservations, called the store, and was told that they weren't in the system. In my case, I received an confirmation email. So I plan to arrive around 5AM at the Apple store and stand in the reserve line with my printed confirmation email. What happens when we get in, they see we don't have a reservation in the system? What are the chances they'll give us a phone seeing that we have the confirmation email? I talked to a rep at my Apple store, he said I should be fine as long as I bring a printed email.
