There's another contact in the list with all of my detailed info, but there's no way for me to merge the two. My N5 would update my personal info based on my Google+ profile, but my S6 apparently isn't doing anything.

May 21, 2012My Outlook contact information on the PC ended up corrupted so I created another folder and moved all of the Outlook contact data to that folder (just as a precaution).
I then deleted all of the data in my Outlook contacts.
What I was hoping to do was push the data from the Bold 9650 to Outlook, effectively repopulating my contact list. The data on the phone is good. However, when I connect to the computer and it Desktop Manager attempts to sync the contact, it senses all contacts deleted in Outlook and asks if it can delete all contacts on the phone. I want to have it do the opposite, I want it to take the data from the phone and upload it to Outlook.

Jan 2, 2011I have just bought a new X10 mini pro and want to transfer ALL the contact and calendar info from my olld Sony Ericcson W595 not just th info on the SIM card - have tried syncing - only takes numbers from SIM card.Old network 3 new network Tesco mobile.
I have copied all my contact and calendar details from the old phone onto Sony Ericcson PC companion but when I try and copy the data to the new phone I don't seem to have the same options. My number will tansfer on 04.01.11 and am now concerned that I may lose this info

I'm not even sure where or how to search for the answer.I am a former Blackberry user and, as with my Atrix, my phone can be turned on but is non-accessible without a passcode, finger swipe, etc. However, with my Blackberry, as soon as the phone was turned on, I had my name and work telephone number typed on the wallpaper, asking to be contacted if my telephone was found. I haven't found a way to put the same info on my Atrix. Perhaps creating my own wallpaper?

Sep 6, 2011After a hard reset of my N8 I tried to restore my contacts from OVI Sync.But for some strange reason contacts that have only "Phone (work)" as a number loose the number (all other details are restored). But they end up without any phone number Contact that have additional info (like "Mobile phone") don't loose the "Phone (work)". Also some of the "standard" settings are lost (as they are when syncing with OVI Suite).Very annoying since you then have to choose number or address when calling/smsing.

Sep 2, 2015I am facing a bit of an irritating problem on my samsung galaxy s6. When I go to phone -> 1-9 keyboard and use it for the letters (2=a,b,c; 3=d,e,f, etc.), I can easily find the number I need. The problem is that for most of my contacts, when I click them, a second window pops up, asking me exactly which number for this contact I'd like to dial. Now.... I don't have a second number for any of my contacts.
When I go and check them in the contacts menu, they only show one mobile number per contact. When the window thingy pops up, it always shows multiple options of the same exact number, or maybe the same number with some spacings added / removed between the digits. I am 99% sure that the problem is because of google contacts, viber, whatsapp, etc., but do not know how to fix it without removing the contact from the app.

Jul 1, 2012My IPhone 4 connected to my mac today. Took a call, then looked through my phone and all the phone numbers have lost there contact name details. It seems that the problem is related to Sync as my contacts are located via microsoft outlook. But sync details are turned on and they are not syncing. Have backed up office 2011 and reinstalled fresh, and still not syncing is happening. So that would say that this is not an office related software issue. I'm lost to backup all and start from scratch.

Mar 12, 2012I have many contacts that are couples and have a phone number for each individual. For example, if I had a contact for Jack & Jill, I would have a mobile number for Jill and a mobile number for Jack. In the Contacts I also custom label each mobile number as Jill's mobile and Jack's mobile.When I receive a text message from either of these phone numbers, in Messages I just see that the text is from Jack & Jill. I can't see if it is from Jack's mobile or Jill's mobile.Is there any way to see in Messages exactly which mobile is sending me the text? Or am I going to have to have a separate contact for each person, i.e. Jack & Jill will have to be split up as a contact for Jill and a contact for Jack?

Contact With Multiple Phone Numbers Indistinguishable In Messages On IPhone
Jun 23, 2014I have a contact with two phones - for instance, John and Jane Doe. I want to text them each separately, and easily see who I'm texting. But in the Messages history, it displays "John and Jane Doe". And it's a hassle to click on the message, then "Contact", then "i" to see which is colored blue.
I've even added custom identifiers to each phone number in gmail contacts. Instead of "Mobile" or "Work" I used their names, "John" and "Jane". I'd like to see those custom identifiers in the Messages app.

I got a new phone on the 18th, a Nokia C3-00, but when I click the ovi store app, it says "a new version of the Ovi Store is available. You must download the update before proceeding." So I click download. It says loading... Then Requesting please wait.. Then download... The "Replace version 1.8.20 with newer version 2.6.0?" so I click yes... "Application source differs from original. Continue?" Yes... "Keep application data?" Yes... Then it comes up with info "Store version 2.6.0, size: .3 MB, Vendor: Nokia, Certificate: Yes, Organization: Nokia, Country code: Note Available. So I press Accept. Requesting please wait... Downloading Store... Wait about 2 minutes and it comes up "Invalid Application" "Ok". And that's it!
This has been **bleep** me off for 4 days. I have tried doing it with Wifi and Local cell internet in 2 different countries, and it still doesn't work. I've tried pressing No when it asks to keep application data. Still doesn't work. I've tried resetting, updating with ovi suite, and updating with nokia SW updater, none of them work!

Jan 2, 2011i bought my Nokia C7 a few weeks ago and , suddenly , liek a week ago , the OVI Store stopped working ... I havent done any hard resets , nothing of that . I only installed games and apps , and the Qt . When i try to run OVI Store , it shows the " OVI Nokia " screen for like 10 seconds , and return to the phones main menu .... i tried uninstalling it from the app manager , but it does nothing when i choose " unisntall " , tried to download the newest ovi store from their page , but the isntallation reaches 100% and returns " installation failed " .
