I had to restore my factory settings to change my default google account on my moto xprt, but after that I couldn't get updates from news (rss feed) and social networking, as well as facebook mails (in universal inbox) and fb contacts. no news, no mail, no contacts! I have tried the following:
- Turn device on/off, remove the battery - Erase facebook account and reenter it - Remove motoblur app from my fb account, then reenter the fb account - Turn sync social networking via WiFi only on/off - Leave the phone on battery maximum performance to sync through the night - Clear data from social networking and news app (in app manager) - Restore factory settings again - Tried updating it via gsm data only
Nothing seems to work, but it worked fine before the factory reset. I couldn't find motoblur registration option. is that common for android phones? When I factory reset I don't get that motoblur registration window!
Why isn't Phase 3- Testing ever identified. It seems to be either Phase 1,2,4 but never 3. I would like to know what phones are being tested, then at least gives you a better ideal of whats going on and possibly when or if it will be updated.Don't put (Phase3) if your not going to share the info/status!Does "soak testing" equal/ represents "phase 3-testing"?
Is there a way to adjust/add to the auto-correct dictionary for the physical keyboard of the XPRT? On my SOLD BB9650, this was done the first time I picked up the phone. Now, I can't. This phone (while waiting for Gingerbread), would be THE BEST, if it could fix this little problem...
I have a completely stock Moto XPRT running 4.1.15.MB612. When I select to check for updates, it says 4.1.110.MB612 is available so I click to download. I'm on wifi so thankfully it's not too slow. The phone reboots, shows the Android guy doing his thing then quickly boots back in to Android before eventually popping up with the error "failed to update". So I lurked the forums and see to hold the @ symbol down when in recovery and do so, here's what pops up.
Currently I'm living in the Netherlands and I own a Motorola XPRT that I bought at Sprint in the US.I'm trying to update my phone to 4.1.110.en.US, the firmware does download, asks me to install.I accept offcourse, the phone reboots, tries to flash new firmware, suddently stops and reboots again and after the phone is fully booted there is a message displayed that says that the update has failed.I already did a factory reset and a hard reset.
I have been having problems with my (non-rooted) Sprint Motorola XPRT failing to update. After I download and attempt to install the update, the phone reboots, I get the installation screen, the yellow bar proceeds approximately 20%. Then I get the screen with a triangle/exclaimation symbol, which flashes on the screen for less than one second -- giving me no chance to press "@" to obtain a reason for why it cannot update. The phone then reboots, and gives me a message saying that the update has failed.I have also tried to update my phone after a hard reset two different ways, including (a) via the menu > privacy > etc, and (b) via the 'hold R and M' keys methods. Today I brought my phone in to the Sprint store, and the tech support employee also attempted a "more low level reset" which he called the "##RTN" (or something like), and even after doing this the update still failed.
The Sprint store tech support employee then searched an internal support forum, and he told me that some, but not all, Sprint Motorola XPRT users have been reporting a similar issue with the update. He said "it looks like Motorola is aware of the problem and is working on it". This update was current as of Nov 2. Because this is an issue that Motorola is currently working on, he said he could not swap out my phone (i.e., pay $35 for a replacement) and that I need to wait until the Motorola fix.
What are the plans for future software updates for XPRT?Is Gingerbread going to be the last one? Any chance for 4.x?Because, see, as of today XPRT is lagging behind for like a year on Android updates. It was released (June 6, 2011) with outdated FroYo (released May 20, 2010).Now, if stars align, we'll get GB 2.3.5 update (released July 25, 2011) hopefully in August '12.And that also means that phone that's been out only for a year is already 2 major Android versions behind current one.
i recently downloaded the update 4.1.110 MB 612. so far the audio issue we have all been discussing seems to be fixed. Now, i am having freezing screen issues. the screen just stops responding to the touch. for example, yesterday someone called me, i saw them calling, it was ringing, i tried to slide the green button to answer but nothing happened. it was frozen/stuck. this has happened 2 times now. not just when someone calls but just in general when i am trying to unlock my phone. when i tried unlocking my phone, nothing happened. i pressed the power button to wake up the phone but nothing. it was just a black screen. finally i held down the power button and it eventually turned off and powered back on.
Motorola XPRT has stalled in the download of the update to Gingerbread. I set it to download in the first evening it was available, it got to 6% or so and seemed to stall out. When I go to the update firmware function it tells me that the update is currently downloading. How to Stop it downloading ?
Got the 4.1.22 update last night and it fixed my vibrate problem but I can't reply to emails anymore. When I open an email, click reply, the device opens a reply email (like it's supposed to), but then the screen flashes, and reverts back to the original email, and also puts a blank draft email in the draft folder. This is happening with my Activesynch account. My Gmail account works fine.
I can't seem to get my phone to vibrate. I set to "vibrate when in silent mode", then set to silent mode, but no vibration. I have also set vibration to "alwasy" but still nothing.
Since February 12 my news widget doesn't update anymore. It keeps synchronizing but it always goes back to feb 12th. Shutting down or restarting the phone won't help, when i select subscriptions which i didn't use it still won't go past februari 12, 10:00 am. Twitter and weather widgets and such still work
I have a shortcut on one of my homescreens to the News & Weather App (version 1.3.04) which was supplied with my ATRIX 4G. When I open the app, it used to come up with the weather for my location (which I have manually set with a zipcode), but lately it just says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable". If I scroll the screen to the left the other "News" tabs do display current content like they always have. Only the "Weather" tab seems not to be working. I've tried messing with the app's weather settings, but it doesn't seem to be able to find a location from a zipcode any longer. Again, this was not an app that I downloaded, so I can't uninstall and reinstall it. Force stopping and clearing data doesn't fix it either.
how to turn off the CNN "Breaking News" feed? My Xoom chirps at me all day long; not with calendar appointments (which I like) but with stupid newsbites (which I don't). If I can't turn it off, I would at least like to know if I can disable the notification audio for just that program!
I've subscript with [URL] RSS feed before. But for some reason, i've removed the news widget, and now, when i create the news widget again, i can't subscipt to the RSS feed. i've tried inputing the website to custom feed, and also from the browser, click on the RSS icon and add to news widget.i just have the loading wheel spinning for a long time. I can tap the back button and it will shows up, but no news feed. And i was trying to add some RSS feed from kotaku.com, and i received an error message. Now i've lost the tip and tricks subscription and digg feed. And i can't add any feed at the moment.
i have a stock AT&T Atrix shipping version Blur_Version.4.1.26.MB860.ATT.en.US. im planning to SIM unlock it and send it to the Philippines. Is it possible to update to version Blur_Version.4.1.57.MB860.ATT.en.US to Blur_Version.4.1.83.MB860.ATT.en.US and to Blur_Version.4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US here in the Philippines? what should I do?
Since I got my baby back ladt week, I've had some reocurring problems. While in the browser, I find it closes without warning or message, often. Sometimes it even reboots.
Also, i've had several reboots when touching anything in Settings. I've factory reset a couple of times, and will again shortly.
Can Moto provide an update to the Upgrade Schedule? It has been about three months since the last update and a lot has changed since then. We lost one of our favorite Forum Managers and probably many other Moto support staff. As we only have two more weeks in Q3, i have a feeling that the Atrix ICS upgrade has gone yellow or red status.
With all due respect, how about someone updating the cycle chart. It's been about 29days now(but who's counting). Seems ICS has been pushed up to Moto XYBoard 10.1; per rumors/leaked info and official sites, etc. They were doing good there for awhile, what happened? Surely the Forum Manager is not responsible for this too!!! Or did Motorola dispose of this part of the team/section too!!!
I HAVE BOUGHT A MOTORLA XPRT A MONTH AGO AND I ADDED THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT TO IT A WEEK LATER. FOR A WEEK MY PHONE WAS DOING FINE AND THEN WHEN I USE THE 3G MOBILE HOTSPOT I KEEP MY PHONE PLUGGED IN AND THE BATTERY SAYS IT IS CHARGING BUT IT IS DOING THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND GOING DEAD. MY PHONE KEEPS TURNING OFF IN 4-5 HOURS AND IT IS SAYING IT IS DEAD. AND ALSO MY PHONE GETS HOT AT THE TOP OF THE PHONE, THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE STAYS COOL.
Does the XPRT phone need to be activated by Sprint to get a HEX MEID? I have been using the XPRT off Sprint's network since purchase. It doesn't appear that I can activate the device from Sprint Zone while not on their network. Can I phone them to activate the XPRT?
When I am in camera or video mode my screen is black. When I hit the shutter button there is no sound and it goes away. On video I get the same screen but do get the sound when I try to record. There is no picture on either screen and the flash does not go off .
I prefer to use Wifi when I am at home. I'm showing as connected to wifi, but the 3g icon never turns off. Also, the 3g icon shows traffic. I just want to use wifi for all data. Not 3g.
I have at least 6 XPRT's in my company that users are complaining they turn on by themselves in the middle of the night. This started happening after the Gingerbread update and has happened on phones that I've done a factory reset on. I've had them remove them from the cases to make sure they are pressing on the power button but the problem persists. I've seen some posts from Droid users having had the same problem and one XPRT user on the Sprint forums.
Could it be an app that get's installed. I've confirmed they are shutting them off and not just putting them in "low power" mode.
