Why isn't Phase 3- Testing ever identified. It seems to be either Phase 1,2,4 but never 3. I would like to know what phones are being tested,then at least gives you a better ideal of whats going on and possibly when or if it will be updated.Don't put (Phase3) if your not going to share the info/status!Does "soak testing" equal/ represents "phase 3-testing"?
View 3 RepliesWith all due respect, how about someone updating the cycle chart. It's been about 29days now(but who's counting). Seems ICS has been pushed up to Moto XYBoard 10.1; per rumors/leaked info and official sites, etc. They were doing good there for awhile, what happened? Surely the Forum Manager is not responsible for this too!!! Or did Motorola dispose of this part of the team/section too!!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to extend battery life and kill some native apps. One that shows as a big battery drain is Geo News but I can't find the app to uninstall it. When I go to the Play Store it only gives me the option to install it. This is on my Galaxy S5 which I've had since November and the last couple of weeks I've been going through the battery huge. Trying to follow all the advice here to delete and disable, but so far not terribly successful.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought an iPod Touch and love it. (No, I don't want to buy an iPhone). I really liked my Moto Q, but then bought a used Q9C because I thought that it, along with a Cradlepoint PHS300, would allow me to utilize my iPod Touch when no hotspots were around.Well, so far no joy, but that's another story (and several threads).The question here is:
1) If I upgrade to a Touch Pro 2 (or other SERO-compatible phone), will I have an easier time "tethering" the iPod Touch? I've already sunk $100 into the PHS300, so if I act quickly, I can return the PHS300 and get the Touch Pro 2 for "only" another $100 or $200.(I do NOT have "phone-as-modem" [PAM] on my plan)
2) If I say 'forget my SERO' and get an Android phone, how will I fare?
Can Moto provide an update to the Upgrade Schedule? It has been about three months since the last update and a lot has changed since then. We lost one of our favorite Forum Managers and probably many other Moto support staff. As we only have two more weeks in Q3, i have a feeling that the Atrix ICS upgrade has gone yellow or red status.

I tried three time and the installation failed. Unit is well connected to his docking station and strong wifi signal. Download was OK.
After the ANDROID icom appear and install started, I got a yellow triangle and after then a message that the install failed. The fact that I'm not in the USA righ now, could be a problem for the dowload ? I tried 3 times.
When can we expect to get an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly bean?

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust update my Moto-X 2014 (or at least it was bought in 2014) to Lolipop. Went to use messaging and found the Contact entry was broken. When I went into Contacts to correct it I found I could no long get the contacts in the groups I had created. Family, Friends, etc.
Add the fact that the new look sucks a bit. Way too much white space with no clear delineation of the entries. This I can live with but not both.
Is there a fix for either of these? If not is there a way to go back to Android 4.4.4?
I have a shortcut on one of my homescreens to the News & Weather App (version 1.3.04) which was supplied with my ATRIX 4G. When I open the app, it used to come up with the weather for my location (which I have manually set with a zipcode), but lately it just says "Sorry, weather currently unavailable". If I scroll the screen to the left the other "News" tabs do display current content like they always have. Only the "Weather" tab seems not to be working. I've tried messing with the app's weather settings, but it doesn't seem to be able to find a location from a zipcode any longer. Again, this was not an app that I downloaded, so I can't uninstall and reinstall it. Force stopping and clearing data doesn't fix it either.

But for some reason, i've removed the news widget, and now, when i create the news widget again, i can't subscipt to the RSS feed. i've tried inputing the website to custom feed, and also from the browser, click on the RSS icon and add to news widget.i just have the loading wheel spinning for a long time. I can tap the back button and it will shows up, but no news feed.And i was trying to add some RSS feed from kotaku.com, and i received an error message. Now i've lost the tip and tricks subscription and digg feed. And i can't add any feed at the moment.

Of course there are two ways to manage tabs in Chrome browser the old traditional way, and then the overview mode. Just curious as to which one everyone prefers. The overview mode is lollipop based but at the same token, you can lose track of how many times you actually have open.

I want my phone to be encrypted, but I also do not want a password/lock screen at home. If I encrypt my device if Smart Lock locations and bluetooth devices will still work? I want to make sure because if I encrypt and it *doesnt* work then I'll need to factory reset and start all over.

Since I couldn't connect to a WiFi where I was, I decided to switch to my cellular data. But as soon as I did that the notification disappeared. I tried finding it on my phone settings, where you go to settings-->about phone-->system updates. It says my device it upto date. How can I retrieve the notification? I was waiting for my android OS update for a month and then this happened.

The home button no longer works to go home and has another completely useless function (Now on Tap?) when it is long held. Might have value for some people but I just want the home button to take me home. I can't find anywhere how to disable or reprogram it.
Also NONE of the external links are working in any of my email programs or Facebook. When I tap on them, most of them open up Chrome but don't actually go to the correct website - Chrome opens to the Google search or the last webpage I was viewing. Copy and paste does work when the website address is there but links from facebook aren't able to be copied.
I have cleared the cache in Recovery mode to no effect. Multiple reboots have not corrected anything. Uninstalling email programs and reinstalling them also did not work.
using Photon 4G with Airtel prepaid sim with system version 45.3.6.MB855.Sprint.en, Whenever I run short codes (USSD codes) like *123# to check my prepaid GSM balance or interact with service provider by *121# it takes long time showing USSD code running.. and after few mins either shows MMI successfully complete or MMI failed but doesnt actually show the text which is shown in my other GSM phones; to query balance or activate some service. Tried forums but no concrete solution.

Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had to restore my factory settings to change my default google account on my moto xprt, but after that I couldn't get updates from news (rss feed) and social networking, as well as facebook mails (in universal inbox) and fb contacts. no news, no mail, no contacts! I have tried the following:
- Turn device on/off, remove the battery
- Erase facebook account and reenter it
- Remove motoblur app from my fb account, then reenter the fb account
- Turn sync social networking via WiFi only on/off
- Leave the phone on battery maximum performance to sync through the night
- Clear data from social networking and news app (in app manager)
- Restore factory settings again
- Tried updating it via gsm data only
Nothing seems to work, but it worked fine before the factory reset. I couldn't find motoblur registration option. is that common for android phones? When I factory reset I don't get that motoblur registration window!
